This is a great spot for a date night, dinner with friends or to celebrate a special occasion. The menu appears eclectic but you can find something for anyone here. Who doesn't like fried chicken (especially a HUGE portion of it). The pork chop and the she-crab soup were also fantastic. The wine list was extensive and the bourbon was served perfectly. The check was even presented in a Faulkner novel...creative and charming

I've gone twice for the fried chicken! I've been with 2 different groups. Everyone has been happy. The "pigs 'n quilts" appetizer is HUGE. Large servings even when split 3 ways. Service bogs down when they get busy. It takes time for the server to tell the specials, answer questions, take orders, etc. for a group of 6 nearby. We ordered dessert and coffee. Finished the coffee before dessert arrived. Had to cancel the dessert, so we could make our movie in time. However, it's nice to not be rushed when you DO want to linger. Just factor some extra time in, if you have plans after dinner.

We had out of town guests and decided to finally try Table and Main. Made reservations online, then had to add a 6th person. Called, left phone message and had no problem with the extra person. Service was impeccable. Food quality was also great. Shrimp and Grits were among the best I have had. Fried chicken was crispy and not greasy on the outside, moist and tender inside. We don't usually do deserts but these were a must have item and we did not regret the decision.

New Fall meal selection was incredible. Each of us tried something different and enjoyed everything. While we were trying to have a business discussion Webster turned down the speaker level over our heads so we could converse. He is a treasure. Loved the view of the patio and fireplace and can't wait to return and try the outdoor eating area for dinner or drinks and dessert. So wanted to try the new cornmeal pound cake and ice cream but was just too full. We were entertaining a guest from Palm Beach FL and she was greatly impressed. So were we "locals" who can return more often. Also saw an old friend and his family while there and he gave us the history of the place. I trust his opinion.

Went at 5pm for an early dinner (with both kids under 7). Nice place, very limited parking. Just had appetizers and a drink but on a "school night" that was plenty. Everything was nicely presented and tasted yummy. Sorta felt hipster-esque but not in a Velvet Elvis bad way - just don't think simple southern = mammy and her bes gravy and you'll do fine.

The only disappointment was not being seated on the patio. We made reservations several days before requesting the patio and commenting it was a special occasion. They did seat us on the porch and had flowers and a card from the staff which was very nice. They also tool care of our dessert. Lovely experience and will try again for the patio.

Went Sunday night with another couple to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Our first visit and it was outstanding. The service could not have been better. I don't think I have had a better fried chicken in Georgia - the portion was 1/2 of a giant chicken. Almost everything else we has was great. The only exception was the pork belly. We sent it back and replaced it with something else. Probably just an off day. We will all return again

This was my first visit to Table and Main but definitely not the last. The food was delicious and the atmosphere inviting. Our server, Julie, was cheerful, knowledgeable, attentive, and perfectly navigated us through our meal. Her knowledge about their food/menu, their wine list, and the source of their ingredients was quite impressive. I had the scallops and my companion had the pork belly. Both were delish! As appetizers we shared the preservation plate and the fried green tomatoes which were both excellent beginnings to our meal. Great food, good drinks, nice atmosphere, excellent service. We had an exceptional experience --- not one single complaint. I highly recommend this quaint little restaurant!!! Bravo!!!

I had the pleasure of dining with 3 highly regarded chefs in the industry and this place passed their report card with flying colors. We ordered 4 different entrees, Pork belly, scallops, fried chicken, and marinated flatiron steak. We passed plates and there wasn't one entree that wasn't perfect. But the standout for me was the fried chicken. Wow!! I'll be back! ...and one final note, the service was just as excellent as the food. Great knowledge of the menu and we never "wanted" for anything. Well done!!

It was our first time dining here, and we will definitely be back. The menu had many options and was reasonably priced. The portions were good and we enjoyed sampling each others' selections. We sat inside, but the outside seating looked inviting so we will try that next time. I enjoyed the overall ambiance and everything about the evening. T&M claims to be on a par with your grandmother's cooking; and ups the ante on their fried chicken. My farm-reared grandmother was queen of the fresh fryer and would have been hard-pressed to beat T&M's half-chicken preparation. T&M holds true to its Simple-Seasonal-Southern mantra. Perhaps a little too simple. The perfectly executed flavors might be expected on a luncheon blue-plate special. But, for a white napkin, fine dining establishment, it would be nice if "sinful" or "seductive" showed up. The skirt steak special was very good, the fried chicken was exceptional, the scallops were smallish and a bit fishy and gritty. The corn-squash beignet appetizer special were raw in the center. Desserts were OK. A solid B+, but not nirvana.

Basically my wife and I have "checked the box" next to this restaurant, as in "OK, now we've been there, where should we try next"?. Yes, it's a quaint little setting, and every member of the staff was perfectly attentive, but based on reviews and the modest advance-planning required to book our visit, we would've expected our food choices to be more uniformly exceptional. This was not the case. The bibb lettuce salad and crab soup were both quite good, but our main courses were disappointing. My wife's snapper dish was unimaginative, even bland. I had the fried chicken, and as a life-long southerner, would not have felt compelled to give it the blue ribbon at a country fair. The whole experience was about a "7" on a 1-10 scale.

Let's start with the dessert and work backwards...the date cake with a bourbon toffee sauce and homemade buttermilk ice cream dictated the rest of the meal. Went with a group and had a great time. Our waitress was absolutely outstanding. Meatballs, fried okra and buttermilk salad were ordered for appetizers. Meatballs were the best thing. Okra good, salad fair. Fried chicken entree was good, but not fantastic. The gas station fries were fantastic! Snapper was good, but not outstanding. Needed some more flavor. Our companions loved the scallops and the shrimp and grits. Dessert was Derby pie and it was good, but again, not wow! For the price, we expected more.

Ate there at 5 pm and loved the décor and was quiet while there. I thoroughly enjoyed the kale salad and the scallops but I would serve bread with the meal. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and barbecue sliders were very good. The shrimp and grits and fish entrée were also enjoyed by us. The fried okra was disappointing. We had no desserts so I cannot comment on that. My only recommendation would be to expand the menu or include less fried items. The wine list is extremely expensive. I would go back again.

Brought family from out of town who were blown away by how great the food was. Sat outside in patio which was perfect and fantastic service. Decided on ordering from the Veggie menu for starters, was going to get three for the table and waiter suggested just ordering the four veggie entree for the same or less money than the three individually. All were great. Added the meatballs which were light an delicious. All entrees were great but fried chicken is unmatched. Great desserts and of course, the selection in bourbons is extensive.
