Food was original and very tasteful, and the service was even better. The food was creatively crafted and carefully executed. My only quibble was that the menu has to do with my policy not to eat animals that are raised or slaughtered by mass production means. So I usually order wild fish or vegetarian meals. This is a meat centric place, I get that, but I thought that my choices were too few here. And I miss the good old days of ice water!! I might have liked a bit more time with the wine and bread - but who wouldn't. 5:30 res - so in and out of there fast for $300 bill for 3. Definitely a neighborhood 'gem' - can walk over and sit at bar. We were early with table for 2 so it was quiet. Our server was very helpful in describing the always something new menu and helped us finish on time to go to an event. It's got a ton of energy, there is a DJ going but it's not overwhelming - just a super fun atmosphere. The food is delicious and they even brought fresh tulips to our table. Although my appetizer wasn't fabulous (homemade tots), my girlfriend's was awesome (cream cheese wontons). Delicious bread for starter and coconut cream pie and chocolate beignets for dessert were terrific.
