The server was very helpful and attentive and did a great job of helping with the wine selection. There are lovely bottles to choose from, but most of the names are from smaller vineyards and we were not familiar with most. The food was prepared perfectly. The beet salad was excellent and the hanger steak with fennel was perfectly prepared and tasted wonderful. The entire experience at the restaurant was wonderful. We were greeted with a friendly face and made to feel right at home. Our waitress, LeeLynn, gave us suggestions right off the bat regarding a good wine choice. Once we started thinking about food, she was right there to give us food suggestions and explain in great detail and knowledge the answers to our questions. She recommended that, since we wanted to share and experience two different dishes, that we treat our two dishes as a first and second course and suggested which order they should go in. We started off with the salmon and then experienced the sage crepes. Each dish was perfect! We had a wonderful time and perfect meal. Thank you.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!Everything was perfect! Our server made several excellent recommendations and because of that we tried dishes we hadn't been considering, but turned out to be just wonderful. The food was creatively crafted and carefully executed. My only quibble was that the menu has to do with my policy not to eat animals that are raised or slaughtered by mass production means. So I usually order wild fish or vegetarian meals. This is a meat centric place, I get that, but I thought that my choices were too few here. And I miss the good old days of ice water!! We were early with table for 2 so it was quiet. Our server was very helpful in describing the always something new menu and helped us finish on time to go to an event. It's got a ton of energy, there is a DJ going but it's not overwhelming - just a super fun atmosphere. The food is delicious and they even brought fresh tulips to our table. Delicious bread for starter and coconut cream pie and chocolate beignets for dessert were terrific.
