Table 16Service was a bit slow atService was a bit slow at first, but once food began arriving it was excellent.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful dining experienceWe met another couple for dinner at Table 16. It had been several years since we had dined at this restaurant. We were blown away. My Chilean Sea Bass was the best I had ever experienced with the flavor of the fish coming through without being covered up with encrusted ..... The wait staff was knowledgeable and the pacing of the meal was perfect allowing the four of us to converse without being rushed.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service, Great foodWe arrived early and were seated promptly. Our waiter was top notch. I asked about the 4-course meal and was told the chef prepares something unique for each course. He asked about food allergies and warned us that the portion for this meal were small. As I wasn't hungery, I ordered this and am glad that I did! Each course, while small, was delicious. The chef clearly knows how to excite the senses as each dish proved very complex. Beautiful dish presentation and course timing. I wanted a smokey wine and the waiter recommended one that suited my craving exactly. Through the entire meal, the wait staff was attentive while not hovering.
The only issue was the table for two which was very long and not condusive to a romantic meal.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnificent gourmet experienceTable 16 is our go-to spot for amazingly fabulous food. Always the best, every time. It's too pricey for us on a regular basis, but it is SO worth the expense now and then.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMExciting, Cool and DeliciousReally amazed by the menu...could have selected several different entrees. Loved the app and my tuna and crab entree. Was tempted by the tasting menu but it is about $10 too much for people to jump on. Wine list is very nice. Can't wait to go back...seriously.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWhereever we are, at homeWhereever we are, at home or on the road, we eat out every meal, usually fine dining. I never take the time to write reviews, even though many of our experiences are certainly worth one.
Table 16 changes that. It was everything one would want from a dining experience. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by Pat, we knew we were "home." She was the perfect hostess.
Then, the menu, presented by Emma our awesome server. Each item, even if one we had seen before, was combined with unique twists that had our mouths watering.
As we enjoyed each morsel, we were very pleasantly surprised to be visited by Graham (the chef), who even took the time to suggest one of the best wines we've had in years.
Incredible experience!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMI was going to be away forI was going to be away for a week and wanted a special night out with my sugar bear. So we decided to go to Table 16 and ... they seated us at Table #16! A memorable meal and a wonderful send-off. Katie was such a good server and the meal was fabulous! (As always.)4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI think you simply need moreI think you simply need more floor space to achieve real ambiance, reduce noise, etc.
When you confirm reservations via e-mail (and your system works impressively) perhaps you could provide some parking instruction, especially after the new area at the end of the street opens.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMIt just gets better and better! We went for Prime Rib Night (a once a month special) and it was even better than the last! The salad was mouth-watering good: fresh greens with red onion, some grated cheese, and a rosemary - chili pepper vinaigrette. I think that's right. Whatever it was, it was delicious! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, sitting comfortably on creamy mashed potatoes, with young carrots and a delectable Bordelaise sauce. This was complemented by a Tilia Cabernet, if I remember correctly. When it came time for dessert, Hubby and I didn't want to share, so we each got our own pots de creme. A wonderful meal at a great price! We slept well that night...4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMTWICE IN ONE WEEK! What a treat!Twice in one week? Why NOT? We'd been trying to get some friends to try Table 16 and they said they could go Friday! We had just been on Wednesday, but... SURE! The arugula and blueberries salad was a scrumptious starter (thanks, Chef!) We tried the pork this time, and OMG, the sweet potatoes were divine. Yes, divine. My husband never eats them, but he does now! We had enjoyed the bone-in filet and the hanger steak and lobster tail just 2 nights before, so we could heartily recommend them to our friends. They loved their entrees and the oysters. Then, pots de creme and coffee and... SMILES all around! We sat back, relaxed, watched the passersby (on First Friday, no less!) Matt was an EXCELLENT server, as usual. We'll be back again soon!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat menu, service, and ambience!Arranged to meet with a new friend here(we met her previously at a Table 16 wine dinner.) Our waitress Emma was friendly and helpful with the menu. Even though she is relatively new, she was more than happy to help us with dietary restrictions and answer our questions about the new April menu. My husband had the bone-in filet and ate every bit of it! I had hanger steak and lobster tail - the buerre blanc was perfect! And we tried the pots de creme: oo-la-la! We had a great time. The place was buzzing with happy diners by the time we left.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMEuropean diningComing from Belgium I always look for the nicest restaurants in town. This was definitely a good choice. And I got to sit at TABLE 16, the table they named the restaurant after. I chose for the tasting menu and had 5 different dishes. Each one of them with its own special flavour. The portions were ideal, not to big, not to small. The wines that came with the food were chosen very well. I now understand why this restaurant is highly ranked. I had a very nice waitress, Katie, who asked whether the chef had to take into account any allergies. All in all a very good experience and when I come back to Greensboro, I will definitely stop by again at this restaurant.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a wonderful find in GreensboroWhat a wonderful find in Greensboro. We enjoyed the Chef's tasting menu and did not regret one bite. We recommend that option to everyone. It's a way to enjoy a lot of different dishes.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGraham and team never disappoint.Graham and team never disappoint. This chef's table included quail, rock fish and rib eye - all perfectly matched with surprising wines and accompaniments. Even down to the bread and olive oil, an almost perfect meal.
Thanks to Katie for excellent service on a busy evening.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI enjoyed an excellent mealI enjoyed an excellent meal that was full of great flavors blended perfectly. Can't wait to return.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFABulous...satisfying...WOWed!Okay, so the prime rib dinner was FABulous! So was Graham's choice of a cabernet to complement the flavors of this satisfying meal. If you live within driving distance of Table 16, and you didn't go tonight, you are a FOOL. What a treat! Friends of ours came from Burlington and even though they don't eat red meat, they did the chef's tasting and were WOWed. Who wouldn't be?3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTremendous Tuesday Treat! What fun to have something to look forward to on a Tuesday evening! Five of us went and we all had the prime rib special - it was absolutely delicious and what a fantastic deal! Sweet Susan greeted us, Ms. Merrick fixed us some great cocktails, and Mister Matt took good care of us, as usual. Thanks, everybody!2/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother couple ~ SOLD on Table 16!Another couple ~ SOLD on Table 16! It's not a difficult pitch. We finally got our friends to try it the other night and Graham, Matt, Susan, and the entire staff won them over with no trouble at all. What a delightful evening! Great food and wine recommendations. I heard the prime rib was awesome! I had the striped bass. They will no doubt go for the chef's tasting next time. Thank you, Table 16!2/1/2013 12:00:00 AMScrumptious midweek meal!A spur of the moment decision to celebrate Humpday - and a good one at that! Love the January menu! We did the tasting and had soup, salmon, pork, and bison - all were scrumptious. Crown Royal Maple and Revelry cab added to our enjoyment.1/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA whole new year of fun at table 16Hello, 2013! A whole new year of fun evenings at Table 16, our favorite restaurant in the Triad! Bring it on ~ We went for an early seating the last night of 2012 and had the most wonderful meal (oh, and great drinks, too!) Ashley was as charming and efficient as ever, the food was up to the usual par excellence, and it was exciting to see the place buzzing with happy people. Thanks to Graham and the whole kitchen staff for an enjoyable finale to 2012.12/31/2012 12:00:00 AMFESTIVE DRINKS AND 5-STAR FOOD!FESTIVE DRINKS AND 5-STAR FOOD! Celebrated "humpday" (Wednesday) by making the 30-minute trek to Table 16. What a wonderful treat! First, Matthew's new Holiday Pomatini, then cauliflower and rabbit soup, then rack of elk! Sitting atop creamy potatoes, pearl onions and my favorite, Brussels sprouts. Drizzled with THE most delicious gravy. YUM. I went home happy. It didn't surprise me one bit to read the 5 star review in today's paper ~12/12/2012 12:00:00 AMFIRST FRIDAY: highlight of our weekMatthew, Graham, Ashley, Mo, Susan, Johns, and all: We had a WONDERFUL time last night!
