Restaurant week, prix fixe menu.
Despite crowd in dining room food and service were spot on. A couple of really minor points. 1) don't understand why I needed to order dessert when ordering app/entree 2)no coat room or even coat rack, I don't like looking at my coat on chair across fropm me, esp at higher end restaurants. 3) Both my wife's and my entrees were plated in large bowls, good visual presentation, hard to use a knife on. We'll be back. In a city where hotel dining is important, this restaurant delivers."

We had lunch during the NM
restaurant week. Good food, great price and vegetarian friendly!"

We had lunch at Table de los
Santos during Santa Fe restaurant week. It was a lovely setting, great food, and very friendly service. There's a nice bar and outdoor dining area -- it looks great for occasions beyond lunch. I look forward to going back."

This was a 60th birthday group of
friends. We all like good food but don't spend for special occasions often. The ambiance was great, decor more modern than the previous restaurants in this hotel and was attractive and clean. Restaurant was half full and did not have too much loud noise. I/we are tired of TOO Loud places where you have to shout to hear each other. Staff was friendly and attentive not intrusive to our conversation. Food and drinks were very good, not exceptional for true gourmet foodies but very enjoyable. Drinks were creative and tasty. We enjoyed ourselves and will return."
Dined on 2/24/2014
The restaurant is quiet and a
beautiful setting with great food. We started with the corn chowder which was very tasty. The hamburger was delicious and huge, though the chile was pretty mild, and the fries were crispy and excellent. Tabla de los Santos is a place we'll be coming back to again and again."
Dined on 2/25/2014
Checked this out during restaurant
week. So happy that we did! Our server, Ben, was knowledgeable and able to recommend one of their amazing cocktail list. The goat cheese flan was heavenly! We will definitely visit this place again!"
Dined on 2/24/2014
I was at the restaurant with 3
friends and we all order something different and we were all very very pleased with the food. I had the corn chowder and green chili soup. and that started the meal on a very good note. For main course I had the seared scallops. They were cooked just right, tender and almost melting in your mouth. The flan I had for dessert was the best I have ever had.I I live in Santa Fe and love to go to the Secreto Bar and now I will also go to the restaurant."
Dined on 2/27/2014
Tomato artichoke soup was delish,
corn chowder good as well. Chopped salad had interesting additions to spark flavor without overwhelming good greens, and a light but tasty dressing that complimented the variety of ingredients. And the turkey burger had the best tasting turkey -- even without the addition of great bacon and cheese, it would have been a very good sandwich. Nice lunch, for both of us!"

After I made reservations here for
Restaurant Week in Santa Fe, i read the reviews. Yup, I was a little skeptical. I was a little worried about the service and the food. Well, we had a lovely meal with a wonderful waitress. There were 4 of us for dinner and we tried a lot of things on the menu that night. Scallops, salmon and steak! All of the dishes were wonderful. I didn't feel like this was the exception to the rule. So give Los Tablas a try."
Dined on 2/24/2014
Loved the Restaurant Week menu,
food was delicious. I have one nit-picky comment though....the music! It was too loud! And it did not fit the ambiance of your beautiful dining room. It was too jazzy. You need flamenco guitar or something similar to go with the beautiful Spanosh style room."

I'd say that overall, the food at
Tabla was "good-to very good." The salad appetizers and desserts were okay-definately good, but really uninspired. Our main courses-I had the duck, my husband the filet-were technically perfect and were very tasty. I would recommend this place to a friend for American Continental fare, but in Santa Fe, I don't know if that's what folks are really looking for. I guess it would've been cool to see some offerings that were locally inspired-even on a subtle level. The space is pretty cool though a bit cavernous. We had a nice waiter…Overall a decent Valentine's Day dinner."
Dined on 2/14/2014
Had an excellent Valentine's
Dinner--featuring a 3-course prix fixe menu with some of the best regular menu items at a lower price! $50 a person, plus an excellent wine list. The lamb chops and duck were both prepared beautifully and the sides were equally impressive."
Dined on 2/14/2014
Just outstanding quality and
ambiance. I would def recommend and will be back."
Dined on 2/14/2014
I had the best short ribs I have
ever had all my years in Santa Fe. I recommend this place to anyone!"
Dined on 2/8/2014
Tabla has recently changed hands,
and has a new chef and menu. We had a wonderful meal there. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the polenta. We shared the tiger prawns for appetizer. The space is beautiful and our meal was delicious. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but that is to be expected in Santa Fe. The goat milk flan was superb, but I can see how one reviewer didn't like the texture...probably unfamiliar with goat milk. Tabla has not yet been discovered but that won't last long!"
Dined on 1/18/2014
The ambiance was nice as the
restaurant was quiet and dimly lit. Unfortunately, the $32 steak was overcooked and the waitstaff was not supportive of correcting the mistake. Instead, they suggested not sending it back because the kitchen staff does not react well to such discontent. The salmon entree with brussel sproutswas ok, but the accompanying risotto was hard. All in all, not horrible, but not worth the price. When I pay so much for food, I expect it to be cooked to my liking. It would have been nice if it seemed like the waitress cared a little more."
Dined on 1/11/2014
We are residents of Santa Fe and
have been reading a lot of good press on the restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. Everything about it was outstanding. We started with two excellent wines which were reasonably priced. For appetizers we had the artichoke and tomato soup and the beet salad, both of which were delicious. For entrees, I had the Parmesan encrusted trout which was prepared to perfection. My husband had the duck, which was equally as good. We were too full for dessert, but I'll leave room next time, as they looked wonderful. I should also mention that the service was exceptional, from the hostess to the waiter and the busboy. Can't wait to go back!"

We booked this restaurant for New
Year's Eve. The filet was mediocre at best and the wine list was weak. The service was excellent though."
Dined on 12/31/2013
The food was great.....the
disappointment was that at 6pm they were out of their specialty which is why we went there.....the chile short ribs....."
Dined on 12/28/2013
Our first timer at this restaurant
and we had a very pleasant experience. Excellent food and presentation, salads were super good, as well as the deserts. Would recommend to anyone wanting a higher end dinning experience, probably not such a good place for children."
Dined on 12/26/2013
Food and service were great.
Business side was not. Christmas Eve reservation system showed full menu as available. Then 24 hr. before dinner, an email comes saying it will be a fixed set of menu choices—all at $75 w/ drinks and appetizers additional. And when check comes at end of the meal find out that automatic 21% gratuity was part of the deal as well."
Dined on 12/24/2013
We had prefix dinner for the
Christmas Eve dinner. The salad that the waiter recommended was nothing special. I had a filet and my partner had a prime rib for entrees. They are very mediocre. We both had biscochito tiramisu. That was good. For $75/person prefix meal with 21% of gratuity already added, they are not good at all. I will not go back and I will not recommend the place to any of my friends."

We very much like this restaurant
especially for brunch or lunch. Long time server Jerry is courteous and efficient and the food is fresh and extremely well prepared."
Dined on 12/22/2013
Room is lovely, calm, and allowed
us to have a good and lengthy conversation. The food was a little disappointing in its presentation and preparation. Egg dish with short rib meat was a jumbled bowl of various ingredients that all morphed together--would not order again. Simple egg dishes were better prepared. Service was overextended with one server for entire room, but was able to get it done because it wasn't too busy, but could have been better. Kind of pricey for quality. "Complimentary" scones were nice touch, but were overly cooked and a little burnt, albeit tasty."
Dined on 12/15/2013
We enjoyed two great meals during
our visit to Santa Fe. We had a very attentive and knowledgeable waiter, Ben, who took great care of us. Each course was delicious. We typically do not repeat a restaurant visit on a short trip, but we did in this case."
Dined on 12/7/2013
We stopped here the night before
Thanksgiving with moderate expectations and were pleasantly surprised. The food was VERY good and service excellent. Located on a corner near the Plaza in Santa Fe, this restaurant is worth a stop. Wine list was adequate."
Dined on 11/27/2013
The menu was intriguing. We had
the butter lettuce salad, parm crusted trout and the duck. Presentation was lovely, while taste was very good. Service was friendly with knowledgeable wait staff. Visited again for breakfast. Does not disappoint!"

Following a very impromptu,
smallest wedding-on-record where all in attendance (two grooms, two witnesses) wanted to have a nice late lunch to celebrate, we went to La Tabla and were treated as if we had 400 in attendance instead of four. The staff was first-rate and went overboard to make us feel welcome; they were hospitable to the point that we felt as if it was an honor for them to serve us on this occasion. We will definitely return to celebrate future special occasions and/or no occasion at all."

My husband and I dined here
earlier this week-he had the filet and I the chicken dish. Both were delicious!! We both had salads as well-my goat cheese salad was excellent! Loved the humus dip with crackers to snack on first too :)"

We dined at the restaurant in the
Hotel St. Francis many years ago when the hotel was running the restaurant. It was nothing to write home about. The powers that be were smart enough to lease the restaurant to a very, very good chef and Tabla de Los Santos is the welcome result. Lovely interior and patio, great service and the food was marvelous. Try the duck egg roll appetizer, big enough for two to share and the short ribs. We had no room for dessert, but next time we'll have that first! A great addition to Santa Fe 's downtown dining scene."
Dined on 10/1/2013
The food here was really good and
portions really generous. The starters are a meal themselves. You must try the Scallops with Lemon Risotto. De-lish! Ambiance was nice for dinner. Our server Ben was the absolute best. Went out of his way to find me a different Pinot Grigio since I didn't like the one on the menu. He really is the best. Let him take care of you when you dine here! Nice find for us in Hotel St Francis!"

The food and speciality cocktails
at Tabla de Los Santos were outstanding. We had a party of 8 for a celebration dinner and no one was disappointed with the variety of dishes we indulged in! The service was a bit stilted but pleasant enough although they tried just a bit to hard. That said, we were invited to linger and did not feel rushed in any way. Overall the evening was a great success. Our compliments to the chef and the bartenders!"
Dined on 8/31/2013
Since changing owners, the
restaurant has really gone down hill. The menu is plain compared to the old one. They no longer serve afternoon tea. We had a discount coupon and were rather rudely informed that the new owner chooses not to honor it. The food was good but not no longer exceptional. Our waitress was great but no one else we encountered was even friendly. The cashier gave even dollars in change, not an uncommon practice, but bill was rounded up so we were shorted. The amount was insignificant, but still... This used to be one of our favorite spots, but with so many great restaurants within a block, we won't be back."
Dined on 8/23/2013
The squash blossoms were
fantastic, The margaritas were too acidic (did not use fresh lime juice - used margarita mix). The waitress was lovely as was the restaurant. Food was disappointing. Too much hype. Lovely surroundings & service."
Dined on 8/18/2013
While I highly recommend the
ambience, the kitchen staff was overwhelmed in getting out 4 orders of scrambled eggs. It took 35 minutes. And the plating was not attractive--about what you would get at IHOP. Granted it was Indian Market Saturday morning, but one would think the place would have prepared for the crowds. It is a shame since this patio area is one of the most beautiful in Santa Fe. We had wanted this experience to be great for our out of town guests--but it was not at all what we had hoped for. Sincerely hope they improve the breakfast service and plating of the food."

This was our last night in Santa
Fe and no dinner plans. We walked by the restaurant earlier in the day and looked at the menu, so I checked it out on TripAdvisor and saw some good recent reviews. We were greeted at the door at 7pm and immediately seated. The room is simple but classy with a stone wall and fireplace, large windows facing the streets and tastefully furnished. We had the salmon, the bivette steak and the hanger steak. Each was cooked perfectly to our specifications, well presented and excellent sauce. I had the corn chowder, very spicey and tasty (perfect for Santa Fe) and shared a goat cheese salad (very good). We all shared a desert which was also good. Tabla was the best restaurant that we ate in on this trip!"
Dined on 8/6/2013
Server was rude and the bartender
doesnt appreciate changing there signature cocktails even though the patron is allergic to an ingredient! Rude!!!"
Dined on 8/2/2013
We dined al fresco in the
beautiful courtyard, a bubbling fountain as backdrop, and a great singer, crooning tunes from Sinatra to Van Morrison as entertainment. This place is under new ownership and the food is great. We shared scallops on Meyer lemon risotto sitting on bed of corn chowder that was fabulous! Then we shared hanger steak and fries that was very good. We both had a beet salad with greens and balsamic vinaigrette tha was delicious. The bar was hopping but the restaurant was not busy. It should be!"
Dined on 7/28/2013
beautiful outdoor patio dining
block off the Plaza - extensive wine list, superb award winning specialty drinks - dinner selection innovative - each dish nicely prepared and presented with care on plate - our group had representative fish, meat and pasta dishes, all beautifully seasoned and cooked to order - finished with wonderful desserts - sampled lava cake, peach cobbler and tres leches cake - scrumptious!"
Dined on 7/14/2013
We came across this restaurant
while walking around Santa Fe. We had the trout & salmon dishes & they were innovative & delicious. Also enjoyed the Sage Margarita from the bar. It is situated in the beautiful St Francis hotel & the outside patio was a great place to dine al fresco."
