We had stellar food from the first glass of wine to the dessert. Warm and wonderful staff and gorgeous Spanish themed ambiance - it made for a special bday dinner.

Good food, nicely flavored. Great service, pleasant "themed" enviornment. Nice change from the standard fares (Italian, etc.). Agree that some of the tapas are rather price for small portions, so if you're hungry the bill can get pretty high.

Your ambiance, cocktails, and tapas are all great. It wasn't a pain to get accommodated unlike all the other nose-in-the-air/pretentious restaurants that are so ubiquitous in that area of Santa Monica. Thanks for a great night and the background/history info on your establishment.

The tapas were a little on the 'eh' side. Nothing to write home about and a on the "pricey" side for the flavor/portion. Traditional Sangia was solid, but the other ones were on the syrupy side. Wins: wagyu carpaccio, seafood paella, traditional sangria Service and attention to us (the patrons) was exceptional.

Taberna Arros y Vi had some of the best service I've encountered in a while. The food on the other had lacked the flavors you'd expect in a tapas restaurant. We had about 8 of the tapas (which is almost all of them) and 2 dinners, most of which were relatively bland, but good. The asparagus (white) had no flavor at all, and the sauced didn't add much. Pricey? yes, but the portions of the tapas were relatively large, so 3 could share adaquately. Overall the place is nice for a date or larger get together, but unfortunately, we were a family of 4 with an 8 year old who is not a picky eater, but couldn't find anything on the menu he liked.

The tapas and libation happy hour that goes all night is excellent, though the chef is a little rigid on the portion sizes. Many of the selections come in groups of three, making it difficult to share among four people. We were willing to pay for an additional fourth item, and instead were told we had to buy another entire plate of three. That was unnecessarily inflexible and may cause me to choose other tapas bars before I go back to this one.

We had a few tapas: mussels, asparagus, and the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, then we split a Seafood Paella. We matched that with a nice bottle of wine, and cheesecake for dessert. One of the better meals I've had in a while.

My experience at Taberna was amazing. I came here for my graduation dinner celebration with family and everyone was extremely satisfied. The place was great, the food was delicious and the service was top notch. Half my group got the restaurant early and everything was already set up. My reservation was at 6:30pm and the restaurant wasn't too full. On our way out, however, people were waiting to be seated. I will definitely be coming back.

We tried six different tapas and they were very good. The paella, however, was very dry, didn't have petit pois or slices of red bell peppers all around it, which is a must, and too much black pepper. The flan was not good at all. It was very white and had no caramel sauce at all.

This restaurant is a must-try for all. I had the paprika shrimp and roasted mushrooms - both were amazing. All their paellas are awesome and the squid ink pasta and steak are also note worthy. Wes, the GM is on point and knows how to run and manage his restaurant and make you feel welcomed. The Honey Grapefruit sangria is my FAVE:)

This is a good place for drinks, as long as you only want wine or beer. The tapas are better than average, but still not great. Overpriced. My friend and I had two drinks each, one entree each and split 3 tapas and the bill, after tip, was $170. Way too much for what we got.

We went at a quiet time, and my friend and I were treated to a great selection of tapas. I tried several of the Sangria varieties, and the grapefruit version was my favorite...however, I am not a beer fan, but I still really liked the pear-beer Sangria. This was overall a great place, and it's only one street off the main drag on the Santa Monica coast, which is just gorgeous.

My husband who considers himself to be somewhat of a GAZPACHO connoisseur absolutely loved the smooth and mildly spicy consistency of this recipe. The potato skins were absolutely delicious and we have never had anything quite like them and I would order them over and over again. My scallops were marvelous and his paella perfect. We will be back. Rene was a pleasure and Wes was charming. It is nice to have such personalized service.
