T. Maccarone'sEvening diningThe ambience was outstanding and the servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and would be a great place to celebrate and anniversary with a loved one.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite dinner in Walla WallaWe've been coming to Wallla Walla annually for a wine tasting vacation for 5 years in a row. We found T. Mac's on our first trip and have returned for our first dinner each trip since. While it's a bit loud, and the food is delivered very slowly, it all adds to the ambience of the evening. The sounds are just of lots of friends enjoying dinners together(which makes it festive) and the slow food just gives you more time for conversation and enjoying your wine or cocktails. We will definitely return next year! Thanks!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPortions of food are sharable.Portions of food are sharable. We had the lamb pasta and the pork shank for 3 people. With a shared salad and appetizer it was perfect. Interesting combinations and very nice presentation.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMIt doesn't get better than thisGreat food, friendly but not obsequious staff, one of the best places we've eaten across the globe. Worth a stop when you're in Walla Walla or passing through.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place after wine tastingLove the food and service...only downside to this place is the portion size...way too big. And we didn't have a way to take our leftovers with us so sort of a waste. Consider splitting dishes to save money and food waste. Otherwise, great place to eat in Walla Walla!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIn the Heart of Walla WallaGreat food and surroundings make this a solid choice after spending the afternoon wine tasting in the Walla Walla Valley.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSpring Wine Release TimeWe had never beet to T. Maccarone's before and took some friends based upon a recommendation from the owner of the B&B we were staying at. Wonderful/fun service and attention the entire meal. Everything (soup, appetizer, entree) was absolutely wonderful. In fact we all had separate entrees and all four of us raved about the food. Delicious and great presentations. More than enough too. Right then and there we decided to bring back another couple on Sunday night. Same results with different entrees. We can't wait to return and will make reservations before heading back. That's important, especially on a big weekend like Spring Wine Release.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMixed reviews. My duck wasMixed reviews.
My duck was good but not nearly as good as I had a week before in another town. The confit part was overcooked and stringy; the hoisen-glazed seared breast was good but not nearly as good as I had elsewhere a week before. The smoked pork belly was merely cubes of pork fat that were essentially inedible; some was tough, chewy, and not appetizing - left most of that part on my plate.
My wife's scallops was apparently good but not great.
I can't speak for our friends but they didn't seem enthusiastic; they were more so the previous night in another Walla Walla restaurant.
The antipasto was moderately good - the grapes were great, the cheeses good but minimal in amount.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time diningThis was our first time dining at T. Macarone's . Everyone in our group were very pleased with both the timely and efficient service and the excellent food. I feel it's the best restaurant in Walla Walla!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of many fine dining experiencesOut of many fine dining experiences in Walla Walla, T. Mac's is my favorite. The beef carpacchio is second to none and the best I've had since I was in Milan...fresh tender beef with greens drizzled with truffle oil...fantastic. pastas are all al dente and full of fresh wonderful flavors.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMost memorable dishes: tomatoMost memorable dishes: tomato bisque with gorganzola foam & beef carpaccio appetizer4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI've dined at T. Mac's onI've dined at T. Mac's on 3 occasions, all meals were wonderful. Drinks good too! I like the ambiance: It's small but not tiny, cozy but not tight, dimly light but not dark. It's a little loud for me, but I have a significant hearing loss and wear hearing aides and despite the high quality of my aides, noise can be difficult to filter out. Most people will find the noise level to be lively, but not too loud.
Also, unlike another high quality restaurant in town, T Mac's was accommodating to the needs of those in the group with Celiac disease. They allowed us to bring in a bottle of gluten free beer, at no extra charge, since it was not something they had available at the restaurant.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTry it, you will like it.Had roasted beet salad and scallops entry for meal. Food looked beautiful and tasted great.
