  • "We had a wonderful meal with fantastic local wine to accompany it. Our seating was a bit unlucky even though we had made reservations and we're dining before the rush, which was the only drawback to a truly lovely meal."

  • "I made reservations for 7:30 and we arrived early and waited at the bar. They had the best of Walla Walla wines there and very good service. When we were seated I selected the lamb and scallops. The scallops were cooked perfectly! And the lamb excellent as well. The portion sizes were just right. My friend had the pesto and loved it Only things I noticed is the restaurant is small so I would advise reservations. It was a bit noisy too, so maybe not the romantic ambience some folks want. The prices are on the higher end for that area but very reasonable if you compare similar food on the coast or Napa, Sonoma. I definitely will make T. Maccarones a habit when I'm in Walla Walla."

  • "They seemed a little short staffed on the Thursday night we were there. No one at hostess desk to check us in, waited 5 minutes before waitstaff noticed us. ( Even though we were in plain sight). ORdered an appetizer ( roasted brussel sprouts, quite good). Then it took an hour to get our entree. The lamb was a bit overdone for medium rare. The pork shank though was tender and flavorful. It was quite noisy, making conversation a bit difficult. Atlogether mediocre"

  • "A group of eight of us had dinner here on Friday 3/21. Our server Sam was fantastic and made sure all of our needs were met. The food was fantastic.. Everyone really enjoyed everything that we ordered. We ordered several bottles of wine and Sam split the checks to accomadate each person and the wine they wanted to pay for, even though we were a large group. I highly recomment T-Mac's."

  • "Ahi Tuna Salad made an excellent luncheon salad, well seasoned and generous with the tuna. The wine list by the glass was interesting. More than just local wines were offered. For dessert, the chocolate sponge cake was either too generous or perhaps the decoration was too elaborate. Our server was thoughtful and well trained. I made the reservation for my group by internet and was impressed by TMac's clear webpage and the efficiency of its reservation site. I highly recommend TMaccarone's for lunch."

  • "T. Maccarone's is an excellent Walla Walla dining spot. I eat there at least one night everytime we visit Walla Walla and it never disappoints. This time was no exception. It was a Sunday so we had the place and the server to ourselves. The place is extremely busy on Friday and Saturday nights so plan ahead and make reservations. The Seabass was great and the selection of local wines should please most people. Highly recommended."

  • "We went to T. Maccarone's on a hearsay recommendation from my son attending college in Walla Walla. He had only heard it was a good place to eat. We are the occasional Outback and Red Lobster restaurant types so looking at the menu gave us a bit of sticker shock. That being said, each of the entrees we tried were proportioned well. The most amazing experience was the taste. It was like Disneyland in your mouth. We left quite satisfied and surprised that food could taste that good."

  • "We arrived 15 minutes early,the seating host promptly seated us in a cramped corner table designed for a party of 2.Sitting next to us at a 4 top - a party of two.We noticed 4-tops available.Our bad for not asking to be re-seated in another area of the restaurant.Given the high price of items on the menu and the fact that the restaurant appears to position itself as a fine dinning/great experience establishment, shoving a party of 3 at a table in a corner meant for 2 was just bad form. It really left us with a bad taste in our mouths and the dining had yet to begin. Two of us had Bolognese and the other Steelhead Salmon with tomato bisque as an appetizer.Soup and Bolognese were good, Steelhead dish so-so. Not a great dine for the price."

  • "Usually, there is something to question about a dining experience. Not in this case. Has mussels appetizer- best I've ever had with kudos to the green curry "sauce." Salads were crisp with a delicious vinaigrette dressing. I had the tenderloin which was cooked to rare perfection. My spouse had the butternut squash ravioli- a favorite that she has enjoyed at numerous other restaurants. This was the best she had ever tasted. And it is Walla Walla so wine was easy.... Well worth a visit."

  • "Once again, we were impressed with T-Mac's. From the moment we entered, we knew it would be a culinary treat. Per the recommendation of the staff, I tried the Bolognese for the first time which seems so simple and not an adventurous order, but this was hands down the most delicious bolognese dish I've ever had. Creamy and made with tenderloin and pork shank...it's a must have."

  • "We were in town for Whitman family weekend, and this restaurant came highly recommended. We made reservations several weeks in advance, but could only get a late time (8:30). When we arrived, we waited at the host stand for quite a while. Someone eventually walked by and was apologetic that we had not been assisted. He checked us in and hurridly took us to our table. About 5 minutes later a woman (I assume she was the hostess) walked up to our table and very rudely asked, "did someone seat you here?" My husband assured her that we had not just walked in and seated ourselves. When our server arrived, he informed us that they had run out of several of the most desirable entrees "because it was so late". Food was mediocre, service was rushed."

  • "My 2nd time after an excellent dinner there in April. Again, terrific food and service. Hard to make a decision what to order off a menu of plenty but not too many toothsome choices. The salmon on a risotto cake was divine. We started with an order of the Mac & Cheese to share and it is a must have. This is a very grown-up version and we mopped up the dregs with bread. Service was relaxed but with perfect timing. Will be back!"

  • "I've heard a lot about this place, but it fell a little short. My entree was just so-so, but the other entree was a disaster. Only three or four raviolis and the cheese over the top was hard, like they had reheated it or something. It was the first night of a new menu, so maybe they just hadn't worked out the bugs. The room was lovely, good service. I will probably give it one more chance because of all the positive things I've heard before."

  • "Let me start by saying the service was fine, If you don't mind yelling at your dinner partner amend having your ears ring, not a bad place to go (Saturday night). It is very loud and they pack you in like sardines. It is pretty pricy for us. We were trying to keep the price down (no booze) and still exceeded $100 for two. The food was good but not exceptional. The smoked tenderloin (cooked medium) --$37-- was a bit dry and the shrimp in my dish was a bit tough. They really need to do something about their drinking water, which tastes like photo flow. Overall, we were disappointed and probably won't go back. We've been here several times before and have had much better experiences in the past. Perhaps an off night?"

  • "Make sure you get your Open Table points when checking in! We didn't until I asked about it 45 minutes later. Our salad came right away but we waited one hour before our order of pasta with Italian sausage and clams with pork belly arrived. The pasta had three slices of sausage and the clam dish was mainly shells. To the restaurants credit we were offered a free dessert for the dinner delay. We were told they were out of two of our selections,"

  • "The tasting hostess at a winery insisted we had to have lunch or dinner at T Maccarone's. Reviews I read had left me with the feeling this was a good, but not notable restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We went at lunch and shared a flatbread with pulled pork, pineapple, and veggies and a Waygu burger along with a bottle of Abeja wine (so we could sample their vino!) The burger was specifically selected to pair with the wine. The food was outstanding - especially the burger. The only weakness was the flatbread which could be thinner, crisper, and more artisanal. Sonja was a great server and we will gladly go back next time we are in Walla Walla!"
