I was disappointed to dine in a room with a man wearing a baseball hat and shorts. The food was so-so: my pork chop was very fatty, and almost everything was over-salted. The table service was efficient but cold. However, the host staff was very friendly. The dining room is beautiful.

We went for Sunday brunch and it was a bit of a letdown. They had two buffets, one a cold, shellfish/seafood oriented buffet, seafood for a cocktail party. The other was dessert table with a variety of cheap muffins, cookies and simple little mousse dishes. Mostly items that could have come from the grocery store bakery, and they tasted like it. For any hot food, it had to be ordered off the menu (which I did) and it was limited for breakfast. The breakfast burrito was fairly skimpy and the steak inside was somewhat tough and flavorless. Very little egg in the breakfast burrito. Prices, were, as usual, high.

From the moment we walked in we felt taken care of without being overwhelmed. The server Chris, was knowledgable and affable. He made excellent recommendations for my wife's choice of meal and was very patient with any questions. There were the perfect amount of options to choose from without feeling oberwhelmed. It was definitely slow dining which was a plus so my wife and I could talk and enjoy each course. The service alone is worth coming to T Cooks.

We were celebrating a special occasion with two other couples, our closes friends and everyone agreed it was a magical evening. Two of the three couples had been to T. Cook's before, but it didn't fail to wow us again. The property is gorgeous and the food was outstanding. The service was equally perfect. I ordered a special occasion desert with a congratulatory message through OpenTable and it appeared without me ever having to talk to staff about it. To top the evening off, there was an outstanding singer in the lounge that adjoined the restaurant and we stopped to have a nightcap and a dance.

We were recommended to go here by a foodie friend and it was work every penny! Food was amazing - my husband has antelope and I had a lamb ragu. We started with a cheese tray ... huge portions of cheese and meats!! We also had soup - mine was achilled tomato soup and his was a much tastier corn chowder. The wine list has options for every price point; very reachable for those without endless disposable income! This is THE perfect special occasion restaurant. Apparently the restaurant was recently redone and the interiors are very very classy ... not typical desert casual. I wish they enforced a tighter dress code ... restaurant is part of a resort so we saw shorts and flip flops and jeans on men. Will definitely return someday.

The food and ambience were excellent. The service was the worst I have encountered in a high end restaraunt. The only good part was the young man filling the water was thorough. The waiter greeted us early but did not return for 10 minutes. I had placed order for 2 sides and they never arrived. Another person brought out the entrees and the waiter again did not return for several minutes. I told him about it and he said he would check but again did not return to tell us. It was not until the end of the meal did he tell me another person took thembut only after I asked. Thus besides a poor waiter it would seem that too many people are involved with providing service to each table. So called "too many cooks spoil the broth".

I have dined at T Cook's many times...ths was NOT a good day. The lobster salad had six small pieces of shell in the lobster...the dressing had way too much vinegar...the presentation of the salad was beautiful. The only redeeming thing was the SERVICE..it was impeccable. The cappucinos during dessert were bitter(that happens when the coffee machine isn't clean)...overall very disappointing.

One of the best meals I have had in ages. Everything was perfectly cooked. All four of us loved our dinners, from salad to dessert. I opted to dine on starters. The octopus was not to be believed; tender, spicy and plenty to eat. I have had it before but this was the very best. I followed that with foie gras cooked on a hot stone. Simply gorgeous. Our server was marvelous. Unfortunately I am not good at names and so his escapes me, but I suspect he was not unique. All the servers at T. Cooks are excellent. I have to say it is a joy to dine at T. Cooks and I highly recommend it. T. Cooks is easily one of the very best gourmet restaurants in the Valley, possibly in the State of Arizona.

The new chef knocks it out of the park!! Sunday brunch was excellent, especially the on-premise made mortadella and sopraseta. The crab claws and shrimp from the brunch buffet just melted in your mouth. For Happy hour at the Mix-up lounge, try the Spicy Buffalo wings along with the Smoked potato Croquets. Finish with our favorite small bites the Lobster corn dogs. For dinner, The Black Cod and risotto pair nicely. The food experience is truly amazing with the new chef. He handles the traditional menu like a master and I would like to see and taste his menu creations.

The food was absolutely awesome and out of this world. We had lobster rolls for appetizers and split a house salad and then each one of us had new York Strip steak cooked medium rare and lamb. The steak and the lamb were cooked with amazing perfection. The Mixup Bar looked aged and there were tables with uncleared clutter. Did not feel like a classy bar at all. Service was slow. We sat right next to bar yet it took us a long time to get a drink. The service at dinner was very poor. We called the manager who came in with a big smile and promised better service. Service did not improve. Had problem getting TravelZoo voucher $25 credit - waiter said it did not apply - needed manager to resolve yet another unnecessary hassle.

The restaurant was uncomfortably warm. The food was good, but not good enough to justify the price. Our dinner price for two people with a meat/cheese platter, an octopus appetizer, dinner salad, main course of lamb for myself and NY Strip steak for my wife, one cocktail, one glass of house wine, and a dessert and the final cost............ $218. This seemed very high for slightly above average food.

We did not get the table requested. Our waiter was cold and rude; not friendly at all. Yet he was laughing and warm with another table. He seemed to be nice to only one table. My appetizer was not good yet my husband's was delicious. My lamb really was not that good; hardly worth the price. We enjoyed the live music in the bar afterwards. We ate at other restaurants in the area that were far superior.

The service was impeccable. Always keeping an eye on us but not overwhelming. The delivery of various courses was not rushed. The cocktails were served in non traditional champagne glasses which was a turnoff. Would much prefer the traditional martini and manhattan glasses. But minor point. Meals (trout and beef tenderloin) were excellent. Love the rustic Spanish atmosphere. Everyone at the restaurant was welcoming and friendly. Good time had by all.

(spoke very low) and there was a lot of noise from the bar. introduce him self.My husband and I order wine by the glass. The starter was excellent. We had the octopus. We waited what seem to be a long time for the server to come back to take our food order. We were not in a rush but still it seem long. Then our food was order. Then it seem a lifetime for the food to come out of the kitchen to the point that a female manager came with two glass of raspberry sorbet to celebrate our anniversary and told us that our food should be out shortly. a bit later the food was serve. we had the cod. it was good but not out of this world. As an long time fan of T Cooks and being my favorite restaurant in the valley, there were certain dishes I really enjoyed and looked forward to eating. Loved their brunch. It's a choose what you want type of brunch. So it can be a $19 brunch or a $40 brunch depending on what you're looking for. The service was excellent. The only issue we had was there was a bit of confusion at reception. We don't know what was going on but it took a good amount of time to be seated when we had reservations and there was clearly a table open right by reception which we ended up getting sat at. They did apologize. Something internal must have been going on. Anyway, after that a great time was had by all!
