"Great selection of food, and all of it was tasty. The waitress was a little slow...but I got this impression that was more her than the restaurant. Probably didn't need that reservation though, the place seemed sort of empty, which surprised us on a Saturday night before the Symphony, but I guess not the usual place to eat at before that sort of event."

"Expected more of a "restaurant" experience as opposed to a pub setting. Food was good and our server (Sarah) was excellent. Probably not a place I would go back to if planning on attending the Symphony afterward."

"We like to go to Symphony 8 before a theatre performance. Reliably good comfort food, plus I happen to love tater tots (regression to childhood). This time the restaurant was very noisy when we arrived but quieted down after 2 large groups left. Service was good (thanks Alba!) though the 2 waitresses didn't seem to be enough."

"we brought our vendor in for dinner and a show at the Huntington and we all had not ever been to Symphony 8 and it was a pleasant surprize - the food was terrific, drink were great and the service was outstanding..........can't praise enough.

Great time - thanks, we'll be coming back"

"For such a great location near Symphony Hall, I was dissapointed in Symphony 8. I was willing to pay a bit more for a nice meal to top off the evening at the Pops. The food was marginal at best, though the interior was very nice and clean. I feel as though there is a bit of an identify crisis between between wanting to be a bar or a fine eating establishment."
