The waiter who served us was very snotty. The funny part was that both him and the sommelier were trying to be frenchy frenchy and didn't realize right away that the entire table were people from France and Belgium and french speaking. They were trying too hard to have an air to themselves. Also when it came to taking the drink order, he completely forgot to ask one guest. Food was so so and then more so for the price not worth it.

While the food, service and Switch decor were phenomenal, prices were extreme. In retrospect, entrees are $15-$25 overpriced per steak even over other high end Vegas steak houses. Be prepared for a $115-$135 price meal per person.

Horrible Staff. Service was ricidulous. Rude host. They made up by an amazing dessert.....but that does not help my honest rating. They need to staff by pleasant girls....vs. girl who have attitude problems and snap.....don't listen and roll eyes. The location is beautiful. We visited in the evening for a show...it was cute.... Food: considering it was a fancy location ...3/5 ..... we are very particular about our food and seek out the best. I will not be going back to that restaurant.

It was a fun and elegant place to enjoy a delicious meal. The "swithes" of decor was entertaining....and dramatic but not "gimicky". We were seated at the window so our view of the pool and outside night club was spectacular. I had the sea scallops...that were prepared prefectly. My husband had the special risotto...with lobster and truffles....which was a small portion but so so rich that the size turn out to be perfect. We brought our 19 and 12 year olds with us...there was plenty of action with the swithces and great music to keep them both interested...the arancini fondue was a hit with them!!

I was disappointed with the choice of restaurants. This restaurant was chosen because my friend expressed an interest in the changing walls. The food wasn't anything spectacular on the night we dined. There were four of us, three got the ribeye and I got the short rib. For the price, I was expecting something dreamy. It was just okay for all of us. The service was very good. We had an early dining because we had to catch a show and we had full view of the activity at the Encore Pool Party. What a site! This was actually entertaining for a few at our table. All in all, we had a good time but if food is what you are after, I would suggest other options.

  • Good but average for Vegas
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 4/17/2012
This restaurant sits off the side of and is wide open to the casino at Encore. The main feature of the restaurant is a few of the walls change every half hour or so, and the ceiling rotates to change every 2nd or 3rd time (hence the name). While novel, also a bit hokey. My party of 6 sat at a round table off the front corner of the restaurant in a nice small alcove with pillars. The menu has a mix of steaks, seafood and gourmet food such as foie gras. I had a bison steak which was over cooked, somewhat grizzly and not full of flavor. Others at the table were satisfied with their meals but not really wowed. All in all this is a good restaurant, but average for Vegas and especially the Wynn.

This was the first time I have felt ripped off at The Wynn or encore. I have eaten at many of their restaurants and this id by far the least impressive. The food is overpriced for it's quality and the restaurant promises more than it delivers. The one plus is that the Bollinger is sold at a good price! I advise you to go to Picasso instead. The price was similar but the quality was vastly different.

Overall an excellent restaurant albeit at hefty prices. The changing decor is interesting. Service excellent. One steak wasn't cooked correctly--or may have been switched (no pun intended) but was quickly replaced with another one prepared to perfection. Our only complaint: With a diverse party of 8 at an expensive restaurant, it's reasonable to ask for separate checks. The waiter wouldn't do it, and said to split the bill evenly at the end. Unfair since only 2/8 drank the $120 wine, and some ordered the most expensive steak/lobster. Policy needs to change. It would've been a stressful/uncomfortable end to the meal if we all tried to calculate our portion.

The service was very good. The food was just good, but nothing exceptional and surprisingly sub-par for the price and the location. The atlantic char lacked good flavor and the steak was overcooked. The cheeseboard was nice and the salad was large enuogh to split for two. The "switch" which occurs with the wall and ceiling is a gimmick not worthy of the restaurant or the hotel and not needed (although admittedly it is the reason I decided to try the restaurant). No need to return and no real need to go at all.

The food was OK or just short of that, which means the food was expensive for what it cost. We have eaten at many restaurants in the Vegas area and based on our last experience, Switch is not one to which we would make an effort to return. We have eaten at Switch on two previous occasions with other groups but outside of the changing scenery and light colors, the entire experience is not worth the money spent. In contrast however, the service from the waitress and the supporting staff was very good.
