Swiss ChefOnly for Food LoversWe took my wife to the Swiss Chef for my wife's birthday. It was fabulous. The menu on line isn't as big as in the restaurant. They have a monthly menu that is tied into what's fresh. This month (May) it was white asparagus. There were maybe another 15 dishes emphasizing that food. They gave us the white asparagus soup just so we could try it, it was wonderful. The food was great, and the chef came out and sang happy birthday to my wife with a piece of peach pie. It couldn't have been a nicer experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMthe best place!amazing place! we had a reservation for 5pm through this site even though they didn't open till 6pm! the chef open the door, they gave us drinks and a free appetizer while they rushed to hook us up! I will be back and recommend to all my friends and family =D -guy with super long dreadlocks ;)4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMTaste of SwitzerlandGreat beer. Great food. Fantastic desserts. A family favorite for sure!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSwiss in the valleyAs good as or better than any Swiss or German restaurant in town. The only drawback is the somewhat dated and basic decor, although it is colorful. Great hospitality.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFOOD WAS FANTASTIC, THE CHIEFFOOD WAS FANTASTIC, THE CHIEF GREETED US AND TALKED TO US SEVERAL TIMES, SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. Wonderful corned beef and cabbage for St. Patricks Day (week).3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMEuropean Food At It's BEST !We've followed Chef Uli for years. My husband is from Europe and just LOVES the unique and hard to find menu at this restaurant. Eisbein (boiled pork shank) is tender and fit for 2 ample meals....we always have a 'doggie bag'. I've had the Sauerbraten and filet of sole in the past. Side dishes of sauerkraut and red cabbage are truly homemade. We love this place !3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMRefreshingCould not have been happier. If your looking for the hot
Transient place...go away. Swiss Chef is the real deal... All

What a funIt was crowded! What a fun night it was, busy and loud and all, food was fantastic as always, not for the thrifty pocket, but amazing food.2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the best German foodThis is the best German food in town and is a darn good time thanks to the staff which includes the always present chef and owner!!! Food is amazing, on weekends the chef and his friend play music and it is very funny. Try the raclette appetizer, the cordon bleu, the veal schnitzel and most definitely, the eisbein and pork shank. Fantastic, Fabulous food!12/14/2012 12:00:00 AMA bit of Switzerland in Los AngelesWe love this restaurant. If you are in the mood for authentic Swiss cuisine, with an outstanding menu and excellent service, this is your restaurant. If you are looking for hip, trendy, and pretentious, this is not for you. If you must have oil and vinegar with your bread, and need everything, "on the side", please, go to another restaurant. The menu reflects the best of swiss and german cuisine. Everything is cooked with fresh ingredients, and is served by lovely and trained staff. The bartenders know how to make a perfect cocktail. We used to visit this restaurant at their previous location, and were devastated when they closed. Thank goodness they are open, and serving up the same delicious recipes!12/8/2012 12:00:00 AM
