A word from Swine Southern Table & Bar
With a man cave feel and in-house smoker that can be smelled from a block away, Swine has received a warm welcome to the Coral Gables neighborhood. Maintaining the same top-notch techniques and standards of hospitality as its sister restaurant, Swine offers a constantly evolving food and beverage menu that work together to create the perfect Southern meal in a down-home, feel good environment. “From the moment you walk in the door, you are completely transported out of Miami,” 50 Eggs, Inc. CEO/Founder John Kunkel says. “Swine provides a full dining experience with an interior that reflects the refinement of the South.” It feels barn-like because it is in fact made from reclaimed wood of an actual barn in South Carolina. Housed inside is the state-of-the-art smoker and wood-fired grills, adding a signature flavor and level of authenticity unique to the restaurant. Continued

  • "Went 3 times. Each time food, service, and ambiance were consistently very good. Great place for meat lovers. Make a reservation! It gets really busy. "

  • "The food was amazing. Once I got to dessert and tarted my first bite, I yelled out: "is anything bad at this place?" I can't wait to go back and try a whole new set of things. The restaurant was very pretty and I loved the smells!"

  • "Had wanted to try since the opening. Always heard about and saw crowds! Made reservation 10 days in advance for bday dinner with two other couples. Day before received message to confirm. Called to confirm day of reservation. Arrived few minutes early but hostess and another staff member could not find the reservation! There were no apologies or smiles just "oh ok" and yet another staff member came over and supposedly found it. No explanations, just wait for rest of party! Tried to get a drink but small bar crowded and servers walking through area with food so felt in the way! Once seated things were better but waiter was absent most of the meal. Food just average! Few items better than others! Will probably not return!"

  • "I love music and enjoy dining in a restaurant where there is good live music. There is a Blues Band at Swine on Monday nites which is very good. I enjoyed dining while listening to them play. The food was very good as usual, as well as the service."

  • "Definitely what it was hyped up to be...great food. Not your run of the mill barbecue. Trendy, tasty and worthwhile"

  • "Very nice and energetic Gables foodie place. But careful, most dishes are loaded with fat.. I mean.. a lot of fat. As a consequence, everything is really tasty. Try the Burnt Ends, Brisket, Pork Shoulder and don't forget the Sticky Bun (desert). Very good and attentive service, good bar scene. Prices on the high end though, since sides are not part of the main dish... cost ads up quickly. Try the Mac & Cheese as a side, excellent."

  • "The Folks at 50 Eggs (the parent company of Swine, Khong River House and Yard Bird) continue to deliver with fresh and delicious food, cocktails and waitstaff who are as interested in the food they are serving as those who get to eat it. We had the Mac n cheese, brussel sprouts, brisket and fried green tomatoes. Everything was amazing."

  • "I dined alone at Swine and enjoyed the experience. Eclectic, interesting menu which was a bit on the pricy side. I had a side of crispy Brussels sprouts as my starter. They were very tasty but over dressed with bacon vinaigrette. Had the brisket steak, which was a tender piece of brisket served as a steak with cheesy grits."

  • "The food was oily and greasy. The chicken fried bacon and waffles was good. The decor was very good.Swine burger was pretty much a regular burger just more grease, the ribs were a lot in quantity and had good flavor. The "Slice of heaven" dessert changes and we had a creme brulee which I think was like key lime pieish...but was good. Overall I just think there wasn't anything in the menu that stood out. So the prices can be a little less for certain food items but its not a bad place to eat just don't think healthy which is sometimes a good thing."

  • "The food was very good, albeit quite heavy. The service was excellent and the ambience was amazing. Loved the chic rustic decor. Fun artisanal cocktails too. The kale salad was great as was the fish of the day (cobia). I had difficulty finding something light to eat though."

  • "Everything about this restaurant was great. Our server was quick & friendly. The ambiance was fun but not overwhelming. And the food was the best I've had in a long time. The appetizers were delicious & my entree (bacon & waffles) was to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant & will definitely be going back."

  • "Absolutely love Swine - highly recommend the fish dip, ribs, burnt ends and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. Great service. Fun atmosphere. AWESOME drinks and unique cocktails. Really our favorite meal in Miami (and we've lived here and gone out to eat at least once a week for almost a year now)."

  • "The food is indescribably good. Service is great every time. The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood restaurant with trendy drinks and great food. Recommend the shrimp and grits and the Mac and cheese as must haves! Also the Mexican state of mind drink!"

  • "Had bourbon and date had the watermelon vodka drink. Both were excellent. Started with the Burnt Ends, which were perfect. Moved on to the main course which was a burger and the other was the brisket. The burger was better than the brisket, but both were great. Grits were a little cold, but that was just because we had to eat so slowly. The food is rich and filling; we both left satisfied."

  • "I invited some friends and family for my husband's birthday. Everyone loved the food and the restaurant itself. They had a great live band, which is not something I've seen at other restaurants in Miami. The volume was just right so that we were still able to talk. Service was very good. I would definitely go back to try some other things on the menu."

  • "Swine is somewhere where we will come back again and again. This is the second time we've been for brunch and half of us had breakfast type-food and the other half had lunch type food- all of it was fantastic. The old southern ambiance is wonderful and the attention to detail is incredible. Our waitress was really friendly as well. Best place in town! Thanks for a great meal!"

  • "Love this place! Overall one of the best restaurant experiences we've had since moving to Miami from the Northeast. The food was great and on par with YardBird thier sister restaurant. Service was the deal changer; it was warm caring and knowledgeable. Something sorely missing from Miami food scene. Hats off to owners and management."

  • "I went to Swine for lunch and this time was for dinner. Both times were outstanding! We split the brisket and Swine Burger soooo good! We also had the Mac and cheese and the burnt ends, can't go wrong with those. For dessert, we had the sticky bun. The service was great! We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and were seated right away. My only complaint was that it was loud but other than that, it was fantastic!"

  • "Loved loved loved this placed. If you love to eat and like me are always looking for a great spot this is it. The food is so great there's not one word to explain it. Everything taste amazing from the drinks to appetizer to dessert. I couldn't breathe when I left but it was worth it. This is not a spot for healthy eating. This is a spot for food lovers and cheat meals. Real southern comfort here. The service was over the top. So attentive. I requested a spacial table because I went for my anniversary unfortunately they couldn't satisfy request but instead offered us a glass of champagne and to top it off they brought my 2 year old son ginger ale on a champagne glass. Awesome place!"

  • "Went for an early dinner and while the service was great, the food (in particular, the BBQ) wasn't great. We got the ribs (very tasty), brisket (very disappointing) and a side of winter squash (very cheesy). The brisket is listed as smoked 14 hours, and from what we could tell, it was not. The cut was too thick and flavorless. I wanted to check this place out as I'd been hearing buzz about it and could see this being a nice place for dinner. The food is on the heavier side and the sister restaurant, Yardbird, is a better meal for about the same price. Unfortunately, like almost all BBQ places in Miami, the actual BBQ was not done well. Considering that I don't live close to this place, I won't be going back."

  • "the menu for Sunday brunch was very good - Our server, Allie(if I'm spelling her name correctly) was a gem. The mac and cheese is out of this world and I am not a mac and cheese lover! The kale salad was impressive and very tasty. The drinks were nicely created. Hostesses was very courteous and so was the girl bartender - all friendly and warm without being overboard and phony."

  • "This was my first time at Swine. Went there for Sunday brunch with my girlfriend. I made reservations ahead of time. At first they did not seem necessary because many tables were open, but after a while I noticed a line waiting outside. The atmosphere was great with southern music playing in the background. The food was amazing. We started with the biscuits, best decision ever, they are large and delicious. I also enjoyed the brisket steak and my girlfriend loved her omelette. The portions are all pretty big. I would recommend this as a great spot for Sunday brunch."

  • "The food and drinks were all great, the Swine Burger especially so! Service a little inattentive at times and very cramped-for-space tables -- our party and the party at the table next to us had to keep ducking out of the way of people passing through to the back bar upstairs. Noise level so high that our party couldn't really hear each other speak without overly-raised voices. Great for a group of drinking buddies, less great for "date night.""

  • "Since we love Yardbird we were looking forward to trying Swine. We went on a Sunday early evening and were very disappointed to be told when we began ordering our food that they were out of everything from the smoker except the duck. No brisket, no shoulder, no burnt ends, no steak - nada. Just chicken, duck, burgers, and pork loin were left. The food we did end up ordering was pretty good (except the tough undercooked pork loin). Waiter continually forgot us and disappeared into the kitchen for 30 mins when we tried to get the check. Cute atmosphere but seems disorganized and mismanaged, like most restaurants in Miami. Try it, but don't get your expectations up too much."
