  • "First time going to Swine and it was great all around. The service was good. Asked for suggestions from the server and he was very helpful. It is a family-share style serving so beware of maybe ordering too much food. We asked our server if he felt we had enough with our order or if we should order another plate and his suggestion was to leave as it was. As it turned out it was just the right amount of food. Everything was delicious - from starters to dessert. Highly recommend it!"

  • "The Grilled Gem lettuce with fish dip appetizer is excellent. The ribs are delicious and the brisket steak is good. I have never seen a brisket steak before and I spent considerable time in Austin. The triple chocolate Texas Toast Bred putting is an excellent desert. The cocktail tasting with the Miami Spice menu is highly recommended. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the restaurant which is decorated in a country fashion. I have been numerous times and will be going back."

  • "Can not understand how after smoking meat for 14 hrs. you still end up with dry meat?!! Side dishes we so covered with melted chees that you could not taste any of the other ingredients. Average but over prices menu and same applies for the wine list."

  • "Overall experience was fantastic. All of the food was pretty darn amazing. Only complaint is that some of the pieces of the burnt ends were dry and other were moist but still enjoyed it. The brisket wasn't as good as the first I had it there but still worth while. A little inconsistent. The temperature of most of the dishes could of been a little hotter except the fried green tomatoes burnt the roof of my friends mouth."

  • "Came here with my girlfriend and a friend to have brunch and it was quite good. Most brunches that I have had were buffet style, whereas this was limited to picking your entree. Our table ended up going with a brisket burger, a sticky bun, and pulled pork with eggs. Everything was well presented and delicious. I had the burger, and it was very juicy, full of swine too! They served it with fries and bacon ketchup, which is outstanding. Although the food was great, I hesitate to give it 5 stars because I would need more to judge. It was only one plate, of fairly basic items (my fault). Let's put it like this - I am going back again because I want to taste more of the menu. So I think you should give it a shot too. :)"

  • "We opted to try several small dishes to get a wider sense of the culinary range of the place. They were all delicious, but the deviled eggs shone above everything else. This my second time dining here and I can confirm that the food is superb if pricey. However, this second time, the service was subpar. The waiter was distracted and inattentive. For example, he neglected to tell us it was happy hour until after he had served our drinks and only because I asked (I would have ordered the beer that was on happy hour special, has I known). Also, the food took forever to arrive (I think because the waiter forgot to put in the order). Finally, the place gets so noisy, it's impossible to keep a conversation. In summary, great food, bad service."

  • "I tried it out just to see what the fuss at work was all about and its fame struck true. The food was great and ingenious. The pork belly tha accompanied my cheddar waffles was so butter soft I finished the whole plate which was a big portion. The only issue was parking in coral gables... They have a valet parking next to the restaurant but you need cash otherwise the nearest ATM's charge you and arm and a leg!"

  • "After reading varied reviews, I was a little worried about service, however they sat us right away and the server was attentive. It was a Friday and it was busy. The drinks where good though mine needed to be adjusted. $$$. Appetizer tips, where good the other appetizer we had was so so. some kind of pork sliced w a cheese and some toasted bread. Main course I had the waffle and bacon or a pork cheek type of meat that was fried like chicken very delicious. My husband had the slow cooked brisket. It was good but so is the one at shorty's BBQ. I think the place was fun and I was really looking forward to trying it. I think the prices are a little to expensive for what you get."

  • "Some menu items are good. Some not so good & everything is a la carte. They don't even bring bread to the table without a charge. The restaurant is very loud due to the very busy bar. Overall - Swine has room for improvement. Consistency is one thing they need to work on. Also if they just make some simple changes, like having the corn bread be the complementary bread basket for the table, it would go a long way towards customers feeling like the restaurant is a-la-carteing then for every penny."

  • "Pork tastes better if it has some fat on it, that is where a good portion of the flavor and juiciness resides. But have you ever taken a bite of something and it is nothing but fat? I ordered a brisket steak and expected to receive a large cut of brisket with a strip of fat on it. What I received was a large cut of fat with a strip of brisket on it. The restaurant is very dark, so I didn't realize the situation for the first few minutes. I located what I thought was the strip of fat on the outer edge and I cut it away from the meat. I started eating the meat. After eating an inch of meat I discovered that the other side of the steak was fat as well. In all I would say that what I was served was 65% fat and 35% brisket. Don't bother."

  • "I've been to Swine twice before, but my friends and I have been dying to come here as a group. We finally did, and it was great. I had the fried bacon and waffles, which is my favorite item on the menu - the maple syrup is the best I've ever had, and the bacon is second only to a place in New York. Friend A had the chicken and dumplings, and I had a bite, and it was some of the best chicken I've ever had. He also had a cherry soda that he said was delicious. Friend B had the forager's plate, the only vegetarian item on the large plates menu, because he is a vegan (the dish has cheese though, so hardcore vegans will be hard-pressed). The service was great too, and kept my cup of water full to the top."

  • "Not sure what I expected from Swine but it wasn't this unique fantastic experience. Food was excellent as was the service - atmosphere was quaint, kicky and they have an awesome sound system. Cocktails are cool and strong. RunPigRun punch tastes delicious and packs a punch, but our favorite was the Swine Old Fashioned. Appetizers are special - the deviled eggs and hush puppies were the best but the fish dip was good also - served in a tiny glass jar. Chicken and dumplings came in a rich and savory gravy, brisket sandwich was lean and flavorful, fish sandwich was perfectly fried, not greasy or soggy. The mac & cheese side was the best - rich and cheesy, not too soupy, not too dry. Great place - can't wait to go back."

  • "Our server was outgoing, friendly , and totally lost the entire evening. Over the course of a dinner for three, she failed to enter a drink order at the bar, not once, but twice. One drink order did no arrive until dessert. When asked for water, she forgot. Instead, my guest had to venture to the bar himself for a refill. All of this with the second floor bar less than ten feet from our table. However, the biggest slip up was when she failed to submit an entree order. We received it after all the other food had been eaten. When she did visit our table during the meal it was only to smile, act bubbly and then move on. I rarely get upset at servers, but this would not have been good service even if I was dining at a fast food restaurant."

  • "Went for wife's B Day. The foodand drinks were great, so was the waiter. However, when the desert came out. No acknowledgement of my wife's B day. No candle no nothing. I had made reservations and made them aware. I went down to the hostess station and asked what had happened. I was told it was there oversight and she was sorry and she would let the manager know and see what could be done. Well manager came by our table looked at us and left never stopped to say anything. I went to the hostess after paying for the meal and asked what had happened and she said that she told the manager and done all that she could do. I guess she didn't feel the need to go above and beyond since it was her error. Maybe we did not spend enough in their eyes."

  • "I've been to Swine several times & this last time was a bit disappointing. The food was room temp and lacking some flavor. We ordered the corn bread, brisket & squash casserole. Overall it was just ok. It's a shame because I took a family member from out of town & I don't think he got a good first impression from our meal."

  • "We started off with the Deviled Eggs and Burnt Ends. They were both very good and highly recommended. We followed that up with the Brisket accompanied by the Mac & Cheese. The entrees are large enough to share. Sides are A La Carte. We ended our meal with the Sticky Bun. This was absolutely amazing. Must try!! Also ask for Mike as your server, he was awesome and very accommodating. Will definitely come back."

  • "Dinner at Swine was nice, good, fine, not amazing. Unlike many restaurants in Coral Gables, they clearly care about their food and they know what they are doing. The menu is interesting with some nice cocktail options. Service was very good and attentive without being annoying. Prices are consistently high for the product. But the house Chardonnay was a bargain at $30. This is my second time for dinner. Wish they had outdoor seating."

  • "This was my third visit to Swine. The first time I came with my husband for lunch, the second time, I brought my son here to celebrate his birthday. This time I came for brunch with my daughter. Saturdays and Sundays there is a brunch menu. I started with an excellent spicy bloody mary, garnished with olives, pickled okra, lime and bacon!, and ordered the pulled pork, grits and egg dish. It was delicious. My daughter got the eggs benedict with biscuits; it was yummy as well. Our waiter was helpful, patient and efficient and made dining at Swine a pleasure. As we were leaving, it was pouring down rain and they escorted us to our car (we valeted) with an umbrella. It wasn't cheap, and drinks were as much as our entrees, but it was good."

  • "This is my 4th visit and Swine does not disappoint. This place is great for a date, a business dinner, or a night out with friends. The menu has rich, well-prepared southern delights with enough variety for most to find something on the menu. Our waiter (same as last visit) was attentive, knowledgeable, open with his suggestions and had a great welcoming demeanor. The bourbon and tequila options were broad enough for the whole group. :). Great liquor and wine options"
