A word from Swine Southern Table & Bar
With a man cave feel and in-house smoker that can be smelled from a block away, Swine has received a warm welcome to the Coral Gables neighborhood. Maintaining the same top-notch techniques and standards of hospitality as its sister restaurant, Swine offers a constantly evolving food and beverage menu that work together to create the perfect Southern meal in a down-home, feel good environment. “From the moment you walk in the door, you are completely transported out of Miami,” 50 Eggs, Inc. CEO/Founder John Kunkel says. “Swine provides a full dining experience with an interior that reflects the refinement of the South.” It feels barn-like because it is in fact made from reclaimed wood of an actual barn in South Carolina. Housed inside is the state-of-the-art smoker and wood-fired grills, adding a signature flavor and level of authenticity unique to the restaurant. Continued

  • "Pork tastes better if it has some fat on it, that is where a good portion of the flavor and juiciness resides. But have you ever taken a bite of something and it is nothing but fat? I ordered a brisket steak and expected to receive a large cut of brisket with a strip of fat on it. What I received was a large cut of fat with a strip of brisket on it. The restaurant is very dark, so I didn't realize the situation for the first few minutes. I located what I thought was the strip of fat on the outer edge and I cut it away from the meat. I started eating the meat. After eating an inch of meat I discovered that the other side of the steak was fat as well. In all I would say that what I was served was 65% fat and 35% brisket. Don't bother."

  • "I've been to Swine twice before, but my friends and I have been dying to come here as a group. We finally did, and it was great. I had the fried bacon and waffles, which is my favorite item on the menu - the maple syrup is the best I've ever had, and the bacon is second only to a place in New York. Friend A had the chicken and dumplings, and I had a bite, and it was some of the best chicken I've ever had. He also had a cherry soda that he said was delicious. Friend B had the forager's plate, the only vegetarian item on the large plates menu, because he is a vegan (the dish has cheese though, so hardcore vegans will be hard-pressed). The service was great too, and kept my cup of water full to the top."

  • "Not sure what I expected from Swine but it wasn't this unique fantastic experience. Food was excellent as was the service - atmosphere was quaint, kicky and they have an awesome sound system. Cocktails are cool and strong. RunPigRun punch tastes delicious and packs a punch, but our favorite was the Swine Old Fashioned. Appetizers are special - the deviled eggs and hush puppies were the best but the fish dip was good also - served in a tiny glass jar. Chicken and dumplings came in a rich and savory gravy, brisket sandwich was lean and flavorful, fish sandwich was perfectly fried, not greasy or soggy. The mac & cheese side was the best - rich and cheesy, not too soupy, not too dry. Great place - can't wait to go back."

  • "Our server was outgoing, friendly , and totally lost the entire evening. Over the course of a dinner for three, she failed to enter a drink order at the bar, not once, but twice. One drink order did no arrive until dessert. When asked for water, she forgot. Instead, my guest had to venture to the bar himself for a refill. All of this with the second floor bar less than ten feet from our table. However, the biggest slip up was when she failed to submit an entree order. We received it after all the other food had been eaten. When she did visit our table during the meal it was only to smile, act bubbly and then move on. I rarely get upset at servers, but this would not have been good service even if I was dining at a fast food restaurant."

  • "Went for wife's B Day. The foodand drinks were great, so was the waiter. However, when the desert came out. No acknowledgement of my wife's B day. No candle no nothing. I had made reservations and made them aware. I went down to the hostess station and asked what had happened. I was told it was there oversight and she was sorry and she would let the manager know and see what could be done. Well manager came by our table looked at us and left never stopped to say anything. I went to the hostess after paying for the meal and asked what had happened and she said that she told the manager and done all that she could do. I guess she didn't feel the need to go above and beyond since it was her error. Maybe we did not spend enough in their eyes."

  • "This restaurant was great. The food was delicious, the drinks were varied and the service was pleasant. The noise level on the second floor was too much...music too loud to carry a conversation but overall a great experience. Southern comfort food done right."

  • "I've been to Swine several times & this last time was a bit disappointing. The food was room temp and lacking some flavor. We ordered the corn bread, brisket & squash casserole. Overall it was just ok. It's a shame because I took a family member from out of town & I don't think he got a good first impression from our meal."

  • "Don't know remember what my entree was called, Cesar salad, white anchovies, crispy pulled bbq, just the right balance of salad, dressing, pork and white anchovies, first time to fall in love again, and I thought I was too old for that. ... just perfect!"

  • "The place is very nice. I love the decor. The music is very typical which create the ambiance for southern style food. It was a little bir noisy. The food is good: typical sothern fare with a contemporary twist."

  • "Food was excellent. I had the Shrimp and grits, which sounded like a strange combination, but I'm glad I tried it. Everything I've ordered at Swine has been outstanding, as was our server Ally!!! Ask for her when you go, you won't regret it!!!!!!"

  • "We started off with the Deviled Eggs and Burnt Ends. They were both very good and highly recommended. We followed that up with the Brisket accompanied by the Mac & Cheese. The entrees are large enough to share. Sides are A La Carte. We ended our meal with the Sticky Bun. This was absolutely amazing. Must try!! Also ask for Mike as your server, he was awesome and very accommodating. Will definitely come back."

  • "Dinner at Swine was nice, good, fine, not amazing. Unlike many restaurants in Coral Gables, they clearly care about their food and they know what they are doing. The menu is interesting with some nice cocktail options. Service was very good and attentive without being annoying. Prices are consistently high for the product. But the house Chardonnay was a bargain at $30. This is my second time for dinner. Wish they had outdoor seating."

  • "This was my third visit to Swine. The first time I came with my husband for lunch, the second time, I brought my son here to celebrate his birthday. This time I came for brunch with my daughter. Saturdays and Sundays there is a brunch menu. I started with an excellent spicy bloody mary, garnished with olives, pickled okra, lime and bacon!, and ordered the pulled pork, grits and egg dish. It was delicious. My daughter got the eggs benedict with biscuits; it was yummy as well. Our waiter was helpful, patient and efficient and made dining at Swine a pleasure. As we were leaving, it was pouring down rain and they escorted us to our car (we valeted) with an umbrella. It wasn't cheap, and drinks were as much as our entrees, but it was good."

  • "This is my 4th visit and Swine does not disappoint. This place is great for a date, a business dinner, or a night out with friends. The menu has rich, well-prepared southern delights with enough variety for most to find something on the menu. Our waiter (same as last visit) was attentive, knowledgeable, open with his suggestions and had a great welcoming demeanor. The bourbon and tequila options were broad enough for the whole group. :). Great liquor and wine options"

  • "The food was excellent. The pork melted in our mouth. The side dishes were good and dessert was great, not overpowering sweet. The only let down was the noise. The tables were too close together for my taste, and the conversations next to us were soo loud, we could barely talk without yelling."

  • "Fantastic main menu. Always amazing. Service on my 1st visit was a bit stronger than this visit bust still very good."

  • "Swine was great! We enjoyed every single bite of our meals. Brunch was highly fulfilling and there wasn't room for dessert. We vow to make room for dessert (or at least take some home) during our next visit. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu. A must visit if you like all things Swinish and other things in between."

  • "First time eating at Swine Southern Table- the service was good, the food was delicious (went for Coral Gables Restaurant Week). The value for the food could have been different since there was only one choice -whereas other participating restaurants have at least three. Otherwise, the food, ambience, and service met my expectations."

  • "It's southern food done right, with an elevated twist. Come hungry. Warning, the food is quite rich. There's no light meal here. But everything we ate was a delicious decadence."

  • "It was a wonderful restaurant and like any great spot to eat it is better to experience it and find out for yourself all that it has to offer."

  • "What can I say! From cocktails to dessert, I was impressed with every bite! The burnt ends were unbelievable! The Bacon Rye, delicious! And uff, that sticky bun! Loved every moment of my first visit and cannot wait to go back!"

  • "The food was good but a little high priced for bbq. Enjoyed the appetizers more than the main course. The music playing through the sound system was too loud and we had to yell at each other to have a conversation."

  • "There isn't much to criticize at Swine if you like Southern cuisine, save that some might want a little more variety of proteins--but come on, with a restaurant name like Swine, you know what they're about. Part of the 50 Eggs chain of restaurants, this is definitely their best. The difference being that the service here is better than the other two combined. The staff at Swine does not race from one table to another as they do at Yardbird and Khong, and are always available when you need them. This is the clincher for me because the food at all three is great. "

  • "Took my girlfriend for birthday brunch and loved the bloody marys and the brisket and the pulled pork with eggs and the grits and the cheesy potatos with bacon on the top. Did I mention that the bloody marys had bacon in it. Banana muffin was a sweet treat. We will return."

  • "Brunch was delicious- we all ordered a variety of things and it was all tasty. Service was friendly. I was a little disappointed where we were seated. They crowded us upstairs with a few other tables event though there were plenty of big comfy booths available. By the time we got upstairs, we just sat down because we got the feeling like we'd be inconveniencing them by moving. Just FYI- the bill got up there pretty quickly. Most brunch entrees are $15-30. My mimosa was $11. They also have hard liquor drinks for $11, so not a deal at all. "

  • "Enjoyed our dinner at swine. Had smoked ribs and brisket, excellent. Dared to try the brussel sprouts, very good, but pretty salty. Very loud. Very busy when we went, service was kind of slow. "

  • "Food would have gotten a full 5 stars however the burnt ends at $18 were terrible. Ownership should visit Kansas City to see how real burnt ends are made. On the other hand, the brisket steak and grits entree may be the best meat entree I have ever had. Regarding the ambiance of the actual restaurant, half way through the meal, the temperature inside the restaurant must have reached over 85 degrees. Management should figure out a ventilation system to avoid these issues. "

  • "Walking into Swine I was immediately in heaven from the smoky southern bbq smell,,, you better make a reservation or else you will be waiting. The food was delicious, but plan on waiting since the service was VERY slow. Also just plan on eating,,,you will never be able to hear or follow a decent conversation the noise level is so loud. That said, once your food comes you will have a big smile on your face. And even though the restaurant is named Swine... order the shrimp and grits... yummy. ps.. cornbread very moist and flavorful "
