The Swine team are all well-educated about Swine's food and beverage offerings, and are easy-going teachers able to guide guests through the experience. We combine food and drink selections at wide price points, amazing music, sexy ambiance, "rock and roll" vibe, but along with warm service to create a sense of "place" in order to reach our goal of being the fine food and beverage loving New Yorker's spot of choice.   • "My husband and I have been to Swine appx 5 times since it opened and it just gets better every time we go....from the minute you walk in the door - during the meal - the service is awesome...not overbearing just the equivalent of a group of people welcoming you into their home and then treating you like a great friend....the boards and the main courses are excellent and the cocktails and the wine list are exactly what we look for in a restaurant...I can't say enough....LOVE THIS PLACE!!!"

  • "because I want more restaurants like this to succeed in our 'hood, but I was very disappointed for Saturday night dinner. When I see pork belly, I think moist and melt in your mouth. We got fried and hard pork in duck sauce. Bacon mac n cheese was WAY salty. Use less salt. Taste your food! And when I think of fish n chips, I think thick potato wedges, as it says on the menu. We got potato shavings, thinner than shoestring fries. I was only told after I asked that the menu is changing. Chicken and waffles came with two overcooked boneless chicken pieces. They were dark brown, not golden brown. Okay, the marrow and brisket burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, but also got the same potato shavings and not the wedges that u see on website."

  • "The restaurant is shabby-chic hip, check web site. My group was seated in a freezing cold alcove with a strong winter draft blowing through, not a great start. Service was very good, knowledgeable and attentive. We started with bacon infused bourbon cocktails, awesome and warming! We had snacks of bacon wrapped dates and a plate of bone marrow w/grilled bread to share. Both were perfectly prepared and great for sharing. Noteworthy starters included fried green tomatoes and pork belly with a sweet chili glaze, also good to share. The balsamic short rib entree was great, but the juicy marrow/brisket burger is the best I can remember eating anywhere, anytime. Everything was delicious, but double down on your statin drugs ahead of time!"

  • "When I walked in the first thing that I noticed was that I smelled food. It was a good smell. The kind that makes your mouth water. The only thing that was weird was we arrived about 20 minutes early to a clearly not full restaurant and they wouldn't seat us yi our reservation time. The food was amazing. Great beers and wines."

  • "Other than the fact that wine list was a weird binder instead of an actual LIST, hint hint, the wine was nice, the service was great, the apps were good. The potato chip nachos were very good for example. My date and I both had a wonderful time. Overall, great hip place!"

  • "Went there after a show the other night. Seated right away & given option of upstairs or downstairs since it was first night of live band karoke and they didn't know how loud it would be. Opted for upstairs. Drinks & service were great. Room was fun. Food, only so so. Everything was under seasoned, with fried green tomatoes & pork belly luke warm. Porkbelly flavor, however, was wonderful (only properly seasoned dish). Chicken was just not good. Brisket/bone marrow burger was cooked perfectly, but again, lacked seasoning. Fried twinkie hit the spot. Karoke was entertaining and not obtrusive. Bottom line, I's go back for drinks, room, karoke, maybe apps, but not full dinner."

  • "The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating for brunch. I originally made a reso for 5, but then our party was cut down to 3 and they did not mind. We had a few hiccups - i ordered the Hangover Sandwich that first came w/o baconor avocado and the potatoes for all of our meals were cold. They apologized and remade our orders, while comp'ing our drinks. They were extremely gracious. I've heard a lot of good things about this place so maybe it was an off day. With a name like Swine, I was expected some more created uses of pork, ham and bacon than the menu features, but it's a cute place that I will definitely go back to again for a West Village brunch or lunch."

  • "Came to Swine after hearing great things about the charcuterie, pork belly and burger. While I didn't get a chance to sample the charcuterie, the pork belly and hamburger made for a satisfying meal. The pork belly wasn't as fatty as I would've liked and the sauce it was in was a little too reminiscent of the duck sauce you may get from a Chinese restaurant. While that obviously isn't a ringing endorsement it was still a darn tasty starter. The bone marrow and brisket burger with potato wedges was excellent though. The burger was cooked to perfection and the blend had a great taste accompanied very well by the gruyere-like cheese and onions. The potatoes also cooked and seasoned very well. I'd return for the charcuterie and burger..."

Boozy brunch for $25 is a good deal as drinks are ~$12, unless you're ordering the Micheladas which are only $6.   • "If there is anything better than a charming spot with great beer on tap and great wines by the glass AND a bacon heavy menu, I have yet to find it! And although I am a bacon (and pork generally) lover, my fish eating and vegetarian friends were equally happy with the menu choices. You should try everything on the menu - we did and there were no disappointments. The bacon studded waffles with the fried chicken are not to be missed. I can't wait to go back!"

  • "Brunch at Swine is a great way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent - gravlax Benedict, pork belly Benedict, Moroccan chicken sandwich and eggs with biscuits -- and the unlimited brunch cocktails kept flowing. (The Bloody Marys are particularly good.) The staff was fun but professional, and the atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried. Definitely worth going if you want great food in a warm environment."

  • "Brunch for four--everybody enjoyed their food, the pork belly benedict was excellent, oreo panna cotta shockingly good for literally being an oreo panna cotta. The bottomless bellini/bloody mary bit was nice, too, but not just a cheap gimmick as with other places. Swine is great for dinner, but this was the first time we tried brunch. Wonderful--and super rare--to see that the restaurant takes the quality of brunch as seriously as it takes the quality of dinner, since most NY restaurant serve their worst food for brunch. All in all, after about four different meals here, pleased to say that the restaurant has yet to disappoint, and it's fast becoming a neighborhood favorite for us."

  • "We went for brunch.The concept is great, the server was friendly, and the food was good. But the amount of time it took for us to get our drinks, and the hour wait for our food, is not a reasonable amount of time for some eggs and swine. Management needs to figure out how to get the food out of the tiny kitchen at an acceptable rate. It also took about 15 minutes to get our second round of drinks. This is not ok."

  • "I had a wonderful experience at Swine. We started out with their house made potato chip nachos, which were quite heavy, but in the best possible way. I got the pulled pork sandwich, which was flavorful, moist, and perfectly balanced. My friend got the bone marrow and beef burger, which was cooked to perfection. Our wine and cocktails were also great! The service was attentive, and they provided some great recommendations. The vibe is casual, laid back, a little divey making for a fun and relaxed meal."

  • "We had my wife's birthday party there on a Saturday night. There were 9 of us. Mariel, Mark and Chris were awesome to us. The food was amazing- especially recommend the marrow, short ribs, chicken and burger. Just super yummy. Music was great. Plenty of room and they treated us like gold. It's a fun place, they even have a pinball machine at the upstairs bar. I can be tough on restaurants (you may have seen my other reviews of other places- I am Signor Crankoletto) and I highly recommend Swine."

  • "Really enjoyed our dinner at Swine. Cool and funky vibe with a fun menu, all set around pork! Nice neighborhood place in West Village and interesting menu. We had the bone marrow burger and the short ribs over grits. All very flavorful and done perfectly. The snack nibbler of bacon fat cashews were delicious with a hit of brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Could have eaten a bowl full! Liked the idea of 1/2 bottles of wine, with the wine list small but had enough choices. Beers were varied and great options for darker versions with the meat choices on menu. Reasonable prices and varied menu with sandwiches and dinners along with appetizers. Would recommend this to all who want a fun night out in the Village, in a great relaxed atmosphere."

  • "I took my boyfriend who is a cook at a Michelin Star restaurant here for New Years Eve. He started out thinking it was a bar, and that the food would be just acceptable, but instead, he hasn't stopped talking about it since! I had the bone marrow and brisket burger, which was a refreshing take on a burger, and which they cooked perfectly. He had the ribs, which were served over the best grits I've ever had. We'll definitely be back!"

  • "We love Swine. Let me say that first. The food is always great, the ambiance is awesome, service is solid. Sunday for brunch we waited 45 minutes for our food. A Pork Belly benedict and essentially their "Eggs any style". Breakfast should not take that long to make, and when we asked our server what the deal was and he said he would check, he didn't even move to go down to the kitchen, just kept on going about his business. There were two other people who were very concerned about the pinball machine getting fixed, but not so much about the ridiculous wait time on food. The food was good, it would have tasted better if we hadn't waited as long as we did (there were a total of 4 other tables there eating, so "busy" wasn't an excuse)."

  • "After a disastrous cab ride through traffic and a terrible rain storm, our party arrived at Swine in a pretty terrible mood. We were greeted and seated quickly with drinks offered, quickly made, and delivered -- I recommend the Pig and Fig Old Fashioned! The meal continued in form, fun and delicious - we loved the Potato Chip Nacho starter and all of our meals were great, including pulled pork, brisket and bone marrow burger and a yummy salad. The stand out on the table, however, was the pork chop - words cannot describe the deliciousness of it all. My only complaint is that they were out of the bacon fat cashews, which I was excited to try. Nonetheless, a highly recommended upscale casual meal!!"

The atmosphere is warm pub, in a duplex, with very comfy banquettes downstairs away from the bar noise. Though the prices are not what I would associate with a pub, the food and overall atmosphere would bring us back."

  • "While the service was a bit slow (it didn't matter to me, I was in no rush, and the waiter was cute and apologetic about it), the burger MORE than made up for it. It melted in my mouth and even the chipotle dipping sauce was delicious. It was also the perfect size, not too big so I could still have a fun night out after eating it. Really liked the back tables for two."
