Sweetwaters on the RiverGraduation celebrationOur family of 4 made reservations at a late date for dinner on the eve of U of O graduation and felt lucky to get them. We had a lovely table next to the window overlooking the river which set a peaceful tone. Our service was not very good but the ambience made up for it. My prime rib was tough and dry, but my kids loved their steaks and garlic mashed potatoes. We shared some nice desserts. I would go back again, and most likely would send my prime rib back, but we were having such a good time that I did not want to do that.6/16/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday Brunch & overall fine diningSweetwaters is an excellent restaurant that is a bit overpriced. The food is good... very good, actually... but not great. And certainly not worth the price. The thing you're paying for is the view of the river. Which, frankly, also is not worth the price. It's beautiful but not epic. The service is tremendous. Staff is friendly, helpful and prompt but not overbearing. I do recommend Sweetwaters but be ready to shell out some cash for your meal.
