  • I've dined here four times

I've dined here four times and have enjoyed every meal. The service is always very friendly. The food is tasty. The men tending the bar are friendly and always make every patron sitting at the bar feel at home. I had the pleasure of sitting in the outdoor patio and loved the option on a warm Sonoma County evening. The side dishes are wonderful; we ordered the okra, corn and cherry tomato dish along with the Macaroni and cheese. The beef brisket is moist and delicious as is the fried chicken. The food is a treat.

I liked my lunch the last time I ate at Sweet T's better than today. Today I had the Southern Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes @ vegetables. Maybe it was to heavy for lunch, I don't know. The hush puppies were very good, But for our table of 6, the service was much better last time we were there.

We have now been here several times and each time have been happy with both the food and the service. Portion size is large and we tend to share a meal. They have paid attention to our son making sure he is happy as well as us. I would definately recommend this to our friends.

We enjoyed our meal, but the menu has changed completely from just a few months ago. I was really looking forward to the seafood gumbo (and wouldn't have minded if they had just raised the price) but instead it's been taken off the menu. My blackened catfish was moist and flavorful, just a tad salty. Shrimp with grits also hit the spot, and the fried okra appetizer with a spicy remoulade impressed us. Service was pretty good (other than having to wait a few minutes despite having reservations); noise level: three alarms.

This is my second visit here. The first, right after they opened, was good but had some issues. They seemed to not only have worked out the issues but made the total dining experience way better. The food was very good. I had what I considered to be the best fried chicken in Sonoma County. Four pieces equaling 1/2 a chicken was fried to perfection. A crispy skin and miost center was very good. The sides of the buttermilk smashed potatos and veggies were alright. I'd like to see one of those revamped into something more memorable. If nothing else how about some gravy? I know, gravy is against the rules around here but still, it needs something. I will be back as there are many things I want to try on the menu.

Ribs were very dry. Potato salad was tasteless. Barbecue was not as authentic as we had expected. Wrong sandwich brought to table, thus a longer wait for ordered sandwich to arrive while others had their food. Coleslaw was tasty.

This was our first visit for a family celebration at Sweet T.'s and our first dinner experience there. It was great. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and were seated immediately. The service was responsive and energetic; the drinks imaginative and the food absolutely delicious. Family members of different ages all enjoyed the menu selections and there truly seemed to be something for everyone. Portion sizes on their barbecue plates are grand, so there were several take-away boxes at the end of the meal. Key LIme Pie for dessert was an especially good one. Thanks, Sweet T's for a special time together.

Jessica, our server, gave great recommendations and was very personable and effecient. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. The bread was light and must have been home made. BBQ sauce was on the side so that you put as much or as little as you want on the sandwich. My husband had a great catfish po'boy. One friend had the fried chicken and said that it was the best that she's ever had - and 4 pieces with mashed potatoes (no gravy, tho) and lots of veggies. My cole slaw could have used a little spice but I like spicy food. The service was very prompt. This could be our new restaurant for lunch in Santa Rosa.

Glad to see the place full. My husband and son loved the fried chicken, so I'm sure they'll be back! But for me, this isn't my type of food so I ordered the roasted chicken breast "in au jus" which was actually more like a broth. It was very interesting try to cut the chicken or vegetables without splashing all over.

This was my first visit to Sweet T's. I was there for lunch with two friends. At 1:15 it was quite busy. However, we were seated right away, and our waiter was very good at bringing a menu etc. We had two brisket sandwiches and one pulled pork sandwich. Their sandwiches come with potato salad and cold slaw. The portions are very generous and everything was very delicious. We also had Sweet Tea. It was all very good, and I would recomend it to anyone that likes comfort food. I will return.

We went to the bar to order a glass f wine and were seated immediately. My husband and I had the Baby Back Ribs, which were excellent, our friends had the Seafood Special and the Fried Chicken. I wsa a litle concerned because the time before the chicken was a little too dark - this time perfect. The Smashed Potatoes were great too. We ordered the Hush Puppies again and even our friend who doesn't like Hush Puppies ate two of them. We also ordered the Fried Brussel Sprouts with Aoli and I do not like vegetables and ate three or four of them. Everyone loved their dinners and the restaurant and are planning on coming back. We had a great waiter, Sam, who was very friendly and attentive.

Finally good Q in Santa Rosa. Brisket with red sauce (a little sweet for my taste, but good) and pulled pork with a low country mustard sauce. Fried chicken? The best I've had outside the South. Smoked 1/2 chicken--you bet! Enjoyed the potato salad and slaw--both not runny with mayo as typical, and the creamed corn--yummy. And, home-made biscuits too! Look forward to trying other items. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. Food delivery quick, which is nice for limited lunch hours.

My husband and I went with another couple that we see rarely - had a lot of catching up to do! Unfortunately, we were seated (in very comfortable seats) next to the kitchen and next to a very rowdy group that made conversation amongst us challenging. The food was wonderful, but not for calorie counters....wine is a little pricey! Service was really good - they were having problems with their oven so our dinner took longer to prepare than expected - but the owner came by and explained why...., and we were very well fed. The roast chicken and the tri-tip were great, as were the vegetable accompaniments. The brussel sprouts appetizer is wonderful!
