The band was perfect for the atmosphere and wasn't so loud you couldn't have a conversation at the table. Food was southern dynamite! Right down to the country peach cobbler! Highly recommend this place for a group to gather or just for a couple to have a nice night out with entertainment. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed watching everyone have a good time and enjoy the music. All around a perfect Atlanta hot spot. We had a reservation, and we were seated at our reservation time. Within two minutes, our server was at the table, less than three minutes later we had our drinks, and within 20 minutes of our arrival we had our dinner. The taste was outstanding, the presentation as outstanding, and Christopher, our server was attentive but not overbearing. The music was fantastic and you could still have a normal conversation at your table. The food (seafood omelet and crab cakes)was great, the service as outstanding, the jazz was sweet sounds to our ears, the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The wings were so good that my boyfriend actually licked his fingers, something he rarely does. I enjoye the mashed potatoes and the spinach was seasoned just right. The atmosphere was conducive to not only dinner, but conversation over music. The band was great and they played appropriate music to set the mood for a wonderful evening. I'd been hearing a lot about this place and am glad that I finally went.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AM...Eat some food with some Soul...I love the ambiance at the Juke Joint, it doesn't matter whether you go with a group or you're on your first date...it makes for a wonderful experience. I have to say that I prefer to go on nights when The Soul Cartel Band is playing...these guys are phenomenal! Kenny Banks the musician was wonderful and friendly! the drink in the mason jar(moonshine and fruit) was great! the turkey club sandwich was great. the baked beans with molasses had a after taste- I did not like them, the fried chicken was ok but have had better! :-) the steak fries were wonderful! the crawfish appetizer with the sauces were excellent! Service was great besides the fact that the hostess was missing, so we waited a while before we were even greeted by the wait staff. After that, all was well. The food is excellent and very well-seasoned and portions are generous. The band set the stage (literally) for a great Sunday brunch with my friends to celebrate my birthday.
