A word from Sweet Basil
We pride ourselves on both the quality of our fine Thai food and our warm hospitality. “I love sharing my beautiful, delicious food with others. Thai food is so clean and distinctive, very fresh and very pretty to look at. Thai food is a good fit with health conscience, food loving, Oregonians.” Locals would agree. Sweet Basil has won many local awards, including “Best Bite” from Eugene’s Chef’s Night Out. Sweet Basil is ranked as the number one Thai restaurant in Eugene by tripadvisor.com as a result of all their positive Eugene restaurant reviews.

I made a reservation using OpenTable for a large party of coworkers. When we arrived at the restaurant they were not prepared for our party and the wait staff seemed less than pleased to be serving a party of 15, even though I made the reservation for that number.

We dined there on a Tuesday night, which must have been the Thai cook's day off. All dishes tasted no better than your mediocre corner Chinese restaurant. Very disappointing in spite of other good reviews. There is much better Thai food in Eugene.

When I come to Eugene I often visit Sweet Basil becasue of it's excellent food and the service is great. It's a bit noisy but has a pleasant atmosphere.

Sweet Basil never fails to offer contemporary and superior Thai food. A few tables on the sidewalk make for nice outdoor enjoyment in the summer.

Had not been here for a while. Remember the food as being of much better quality previously. Service adequate but not friendly. Will not be back here for a while, much better Thai to be had in Eugene.

Sweet Basil food was delicious, excellent presentation and the waiter was very attentive to our needs. The seven of us all enjoyed our meals and we were able to make it to our concert with time to spare...Very enjoyable atmosphere and pleasant noise level. We will visit again.

Our favorite Thai restaurant in Eugene. Here for lunch today, great menu, food well prepared and to the degree of spice that you request, very tasty. You won't leave the table feeling hungry. Service was excellent. If you enjoy thai, try Sweet Basil, you will be back.
