  • "My boyfriend and I decided to try Sway after having their fried green tomatoes at "Taste of 502". We had the choice of the dining room or the open area patio near the bar. Since Saturday night was so pleasant, and the St. Patty's day festivities were in full swing, we decided to dine in the patio area. We could see everyone walking back and forth from Fourth Street. Even with the all the people outside, and the college games on TV inside, we still had an intimate dinner. The meal was great including the drinks; I had the raspberry lemonade drop; I highly recommend it. The staff was very nice and attentive as well. We had a very enjoyable time; will come again."

  • "My significant other and myself visited Sway the other night for a date. We had talked for some time about visiting Sway after trying their "Shrimp and Grits" and the taste of Louisville festival several months back, a dish that was voted as the best of the evening at the festival. Of course, we both ordered the "Shrimp and Grits" and were both very pleased with our meal. I had a "I'll Have Another Tea" cocktail myself and was very pleased with it and would highly recommend it. Overall our trip to Sway made for a wonderful dining experience and I certainly would suggest it to friends and plan on going back in the future myself."

  • "We ordered off the restaurant week menu and were pleased with our meal overall. We both ordered the fried green tomatoes and deviled egg apps. The tomatoes were wonderful! The eggs were good but not anything special. My girlfriend had the veggie pot pie for her entree which she said she enjoyed. I had the short rib and mashed potatoes. It was very good but missing that little something that makes Southern food comfort food. Lastly, we each had the dessert sampler. I had the pecan slices and spice cakes and she had the tagalong ice cream, according to our preferences. Everything was delicious. Overall we were pleased with our meal though it wasn't outstanding. I would dine here again to try the fried chicken which is supposed best in town."

  • "Took my brother here as he was visiting from out of town. The food was absolutely fantastic!! The fact that the price was very reasonable and the portions huge made it even more perfect. My brother said next time he's in town, he's bringing his wife. I'm taking my daughter for her 20th birthday celebration!!!"

  • "The food was OK. The short ribs had a huge band of fat in it and tasted like pot roast. The fried chicken was good, but slightly over cooked. The Pecan bars were grainy. Service was slow, and the server appeared bored and was not very familiar with the menu. We were told that our food was taking so long because there were 2 tables ahead of us. One time she some over our head to the bartender behind us. We should have suspected, as it was prime time on Friday night and only 5 takes in the restaurant were being used. We will not return"

  • "For Valentine's Day, I made reservations for he and I to dine at Sway. The familiar dining options with the upscale vibe allowed my date to comfortable and enjoy our date. Our appetizers and entree were exactly what we expected,hot and delicious. The options for dessert reflected the southern charm of the restaurant and was equally delicious. Sway is one of my favorite local gems."

  • "My husband met me downtown for lunch. The firm I work for has frequented the restaurant a few times for group outings. Since the food was so good, I wanted him to try it. We were seated right away. The waitress came right away and greeted us and took our drink order; chatted again then took our food order. Prior to our meal, the waitress brought biscuits and cornbread and chatted some more. Our food arrived - fried chicken was delicious, the Farmers plate was awesome. The restaurant was not busy, our waitress was at our table beyond what was reasonable. She was pleasant but came between our time to talk between ourselves while enjoying lunch. We will definitely be back, the food and atmosphere is very nice."

  • "Sway came recommended to my boyfriend and my friends. In Louisville, there are many places to eat and there is a stigma with a restaurant attached to a hotel much less a chain. Sway blew everything out of the water with their cornbread and sweet tea. They had us at "honey butter". The table opted for the fried chicken and the gravy accompanying it stole the show. I even had leftovers to take home because I also had fried green tomatoes with spicy sauce and their cornbread salad. I have already recommended this to my coworkers and looking forward to the next big even (perhaps birthday) to spend at Sway! Thank you!"

  • "Ambiance was surprisingly pleasant for a hotel restaurant. Entry was awkward, though: we used the street doors, which brought us to the bar, with no host/ess and no one asking if we need help. Vegetarian options were limited, and our server was subtle with her condescension when we mentioned we were vegetarian and thus looking for plates without, as she completed our phrase, "without protein?". Food was OK but not great considering the price and publicity."

  • "I made reservations at Sway for my sibling and me. We arrived, looked around for a hostess/greeting stand, we even walked around into the dining room and saw nothing. No one greeted us and there was not even a hint of a hostess stand. I was not sure what was the point of making reservations. So, we sat at an open table in the bar. A male, who I think was a bartender, came over and asked our drink orders. We hadn't decided yet so we asked for water. He returned with the water, setting them down on the table, then immediately leaving without giving us a chance to order, saying he'd be right back. We waited 15 minutes for him to "be right back". He never came back to the table. We left and went elsewhere and ate."

The cool part was that there were appetizers and entree items that were local specials. Very good food and service. Would recommend to anyone. Prices were very reasonable. Dress code was casual."
