Diner Reviews
  • "The shrimp and vegetable tempura were delicious! The grilled eggplant was good too. I was there with a group of friends and one of them was vegetarian. He was able to find many options!"

  • "This restaurant still amazes. From the extensive Sake menu to the appropriately priced specials, the service and people watching was a treat. Highly recommend."

  • "We are Sushi Samba adicts, the place is great we love the food, the service is good too so we keep going back and recommending it to friends..."

  • "Very good food. Service needs a bit of polish. I have eaten there few times and food was always good. However, service needs to be sent to school and lear how to treat guests better. Or perhaps that is their style. Well, I do not appreciate it."

  • "Food was amazing. every dish was fresh, interesting, and packed with flavor. My only complaint is that the outdoor seating is a little "sceny", full of south beach character. Tables and chairs are all a little wobbly and sticky, but if you can get over the fact that this is how it is everywhere, and focus on the food, it was great."

  • "I celebrated my bday here, ambience great, ny style, loud fun lounge music, good service. they didnt give me hassle to change from one booth to another, had my opentable reservation ready. the only thing is that I think they should increase their menu, im not a big fan of sushi so I had no idea of what to order for a big group 9. For the most part it was terrific experience and I would come back. Perfec for middle of the week go out with your friends late to dinner to a trendy not that expensive place!"

  • "the food was ok, but nothing fancy, the service was fast but not the nicest. We asked for a pinot grigio, not a good option....Overall a nice atmosphere but I think there are several other sushi places in miami that are better than this."

  • "was incredibly fortunate to have made reservations through Open Table as the line was out the door on Saturday Night. Was able to bypass the line and get right in. The place was crowded and the music very loud but twas seated in a good location. The food was great and that service attentive. Would go again but possibly on another night."

  • "First time for me at sushi samba!!! The service are very fast and friendly! We take a sushi plate : very fresh and soo good!!! I come back here!"

  • "You usually don't find this kind of quality and service in an extremely touristic zone. I took the chance and I was gladly surprised. Dishes have a unique combination of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian taste which makes this place an excellent choice. The location is great (we sat in the street tables) so we enjoyed people walking by while we had this gorgeous dishes served by a very proficient waitress. It's a must if you want everything in the same place...."

  • "With many strange sounding items, it really helps to be guided by a knowledgeable waiter. David was great, recommending everything we ordered. All was delicious."

  • "Great food. Desperately need to clean and maintain restrooms!"
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "This was a great experience! We sat inside. We had the rock shrimp which were amazing, and we had the hamachi tacos....those were phenomenal as well! We loved the hambanero roll, and again, the sushi was fresh and tasty. Great experience! If you are considering going to get sushi, definitely hit this hotspot! Service was prompt and the server was very attentive. Will definitely be going back when I am in town again!"

  • "Fantastic food- great for small bites of delectable seafood creations. The best is sitting outside and watching all the characters walking Lincoln road. Delicious and fun!"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Portuguese Octopus, seabrass, tacos, california roll... A mix of peruvian, brasilian and japanese cuisine with excellent ingredients quality. Coming from Spain, we were used to have great fresh ingredients, but Samba Sushi set the bar for quality at a higher level than we expected. Be aware that portions are small (tapas), but this allows you to try different dishes. Service was great, very proactive, and guided us through the menu, recommending us a couple of dishes that were just amazing. Thank you Alexandra for your work."

  • "I've been to SushiSamba many times, and always enjoy a wide variety of items. Just beware, the tab can build up quickly through a lot of small plates. It's a great place to eat outside on Lincoln Road to watch the crowd going by."

  • "Good food, modern ambiance, service a bit inexperienced but polite and present, and price is medium range."
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "Enjoyed the location in Chicago but thought the Miami location was not nearly as good. There's so many great restaurants in Miami don't waste your time on this one."
    Dined on 2/21/2014
  • "This is my second time going to Sushisamba and both times I love it. Number one the location is great in Miami Beach that allows for some fantastic people watching. On top of that the sushi is very good as well. This must have been the first time that I ever got full on Sushi. I think the drinks are very good as well, not oh my gost these are good, but definitely not something you will wish you had not ordered. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Miami."
    Dined on 2/19/2014
  • "We found the menu and drinks list to be inventive and diverse. We really enjoyed everything we tried -- like the phenomenal yellowtail taquitos to the seared wagyu beef (warm honshimeji mushroom, ponzu gelée, truffled tofu crema) -- and, when she found out we loved to try things we haven't tried before -- our server Alex brought several really interesting things for us to try. Overall, we found they just knocked it out of the park."

  • "Some time ago we had been in Sushisamba and it was quite good: food was original and tasty, service was prompt and prices reasonable. In our recent visit we were disappointed. Food quality has fallen, taste has been lost. Our waitress was nice ,but her main concern was that we spend. The other waiters were slow, not helpful and allowed that table to become chaotic. The sofa that assigned had a sunken area; we asked for a cushion; they could not help. Finally prives have become outrageous. We will not go back."

  • "We had very good sushi and oysters. The Orion beer is amazing. On the terrace you can smoke :-)"
    Dined on 2/21/2014
  • "Fantastic food as always , good service, great wine recommendation all in all great evening..... table was right on the street so quite a bit of noise and crowds around but not a big deal, call it lively , although some people may dislike it. We keep going back .... Great place !!!!"

  • "We had great service and a delicious series of small bites that we shared--- this chain has been around forever and still manages to make it feel new, fun, and super tasty! impressive--"

  • "The overall dining experience was a letdown. Have eaten here before, but they were off yesterday. I'll give them a time out."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "Went on Valentines Day, great environment for a great evening. Inside music was occasionally louder than being able to hold a quiet conversation. People were very friendly and they made us feel welcome."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "This was a real treat! The sushi was fabulous. We were able to choose our own ingredients in the rolls. Our waiter was attentive, the manager checked on us. One of our best dinners in Miami Beach! And the dessert with the caramelized bananas and popcorn......a must try! We ate outside on the busy street. Great people watching."

  • "The food was delicious and innovative. However the trip to the ladies room ruined the experience. Smelled like someone throw a bucket of urine all over the place- it was even wet all over. Disgusting. Server gave great recs, but was hard to get for more. Very efficient busboy."

  • "Terrible restaurant. Waiters had no idea when they were taking orders all orders werewrong most got a different ddish than what they ordered they said they had two kitchensd and since some dishes came from one kitchen and others from thr other one that was the problem. Ps I never had dinner they never brought my plate.then we asked for check it took forever despite the fact we told them we had to go to the theater. I don't know how they stay in business. I would never go back"

  • "We ordered yellowtail taquitos and blue point oysters to start. Both were delicious! Then we ordered the Samba Roll, a Spicy tuna roll, and a shrimp tempura roll. All three if them were exceptional. My husband said the sticy tuna roll was the best he had ever had, ad trust me that is a HUGE compliment coming from him! The atmosphere is very high energy and fun!"

  • "We had a reservation at 8h15, line up for 15 minutes, then a outside table on Lincold Road, not a pleasure. So a fair service and a lot of noise. We waited 1 hour to get our sushis' plate. Sushis were good. I am not sure that we will go bach there."
