Diner Reviews
  • "The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. Tables that seat 2 people are very cozy to other visitors. The food is top notch. Highly recommend the Basa skewers, gyoza for an appetizer. Ordered various sushi as suggested by the waitress. Will definitely return and tell friends :)"

  • "The food was delicious - especially the waygu beef roll and the roll with foie gras. Interesting drink selections as well. Our waitress was extremely attentive, but the overall ambiance if the restaurant was a little impersonal. I would eat here again, but be prepared for an expensive meal if you want to leave feeling full rather than just satisfied. Unlike a prix-fixe meal where you know the dinner will be expensive out of the gate, ordering many small plates can sneak up on you."

  • "If you want to pay a lot of money for a small amount of good food and leave hungry, this is the place for you. While the food was very tasty, it was nothing close to the "family dining" style described to us by our server. You are expected to share the various dishes around the table and sample from various foods. However, no one dish of food was enough to satisfy the appetite of a single person. While I understand this is a restaurant on the Strip in an upscale hotel, I would still expect them to want their customers to leave happy and wish to return. I would not recommend SushiSamba for anything other than an experience on a special occasion."

  • "We went down a half hour before our reservation and sat at the bar for some cocktails. That was the only time I experienced any disappointment in the evening, as they were out of Pisco and I was jonesing for a sour. However, the cocktails that we did consume were delicious and almost made up for my disappointment. After that, we were taken to our table and went with the servers choice of what she wanted to bring to the table. She didn't miss with her selections...all were terrific! We will be back, for sure."

  • "My husband and I went to dinner on a Friday noise level was so bad. We could not hear our waitress so it was very hard to decide what to order. Would probably not go back."

  • "Service was flawless and attentive. The setting was great. I love the option to specify a dollar amount per person and let the chef guide the evening with course after course of amazing selections and combinations. Our table really enjoyed searing kobe beef slices on our own table-top hot rocks. That was fun."

  • "Each time we're in Vegas we stop at SushiSambas. Everything was quite tasty and the service was great."

  • "1. Its loud, we asked to sit in the 'back room' which was MUCH quieter (but still had a cool ambience and artwork) 2. Food was pretty solid. A nice take on sushi with different sauces and ingredients. 3. Didn't LOVE the brazil/peruvian food they brought us (stew was too buttery, shrimp was a large portion and we got pretty full) 4. Sushi was fresh though. We enjoyed. 5. A nice touch, they honored our anniversary with some complimentary dessert and a nice handwritten (in chocolate) plate :) 6. Omakase meal for us was approx $65 pp. Definitely a good deal where I come from (LA)."

  • "The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Sushi quality was ok. Seems that because it is such a large place, the sushi delivery took some time and it seemed slightly dry indicating it may have sat out."

  • "Interesting sushi and menu. Loud and full of Vegas sights ... we had fun and enjoyed our meals."

  • "My wife and I took our mid thirties son and daughter and their spouses. Great cross generation place. Very vibrant. Wonderful Japanese Brazilian fusion. We just set our price tolerance and left the rest to Michael. Accommodated a vegetarian request of one of our guests. You have to try this place"

  • "Japanese Peruvian Brazilian fusion food! Unique and delicious. We just gave our waiter a price range, and let him do the rest. We were not disappointed. Easy to recommend!"

  • "FABULOUS Sushi! Jason, the manager, was excellent. He took very good care of us. One of our friends' was celebrating a 50th birthday and he came over with drinks and a special desert, on the house. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Sushi was extremely fresh and delish!"

  • "If you are going to dine at SushiSamba and have the means to do so, the Chef's Selection is a must. All courses are phenomenal, but the Kobe Beef slices cooked on a hot stone are melt in your mouth delicious. Another must is the deconstructed cheesecake. It is both beautiful and incredible in taste. Can't wait to go back."

  • "chillean sea bass was amazing, with the peruvian corn. it was buttery, savory and delicious. we had a lovely time, and spent time researching places to eat while we were in vegas. the menu was interesting and resasonable (for th strip) and the food was exceptional. we had the seaweed salad, sushi platter, seabass with corn and the tuna ceviche and all of it was well prepared. the service was great. my only complaint is the noise level, but you cant have it all"

  • "Just visited again with a group of 7 on Saturday. We have been coming to Sushi Samba for 4 years now. The food continues to be good. However, in cleaning up a round of food, the server spilled ouzu all of one of our guests (on his 200 dollar shirt no less). And nothing was done. Not " Im sorry." We asked for the Manager who did come by and apologize. The server then came back and said that the dry cleaning bill could be sent to him if we wanted. This negates the fact that you ruined a shirt that was worn to go out afterwards. The proper response would have been to apologize and then comp. the bill by 10-15%. Didn't happen. Also, their knowledge of Peruvian Food was a bit lacking and contrived."

  • "A member of our party is gluten-free, which we mentioned when we made the reservation, and when we were seated we found that there was a gluten-free menu at the table. There was a gluten-free appetizer option with a lettuce wrap, but when there was too much cilantro and she didn't like it, they took it back to the kitchen and off of the bill. We ordered a variety of items a la carte and, other than the lettuce wrap at the beginning of the meal, no one was disappointed. The waitress was wonderful with answering our many questions and even provided free shots at the end of the meal since we were there to celebrate two 30th birthdays. The higher cost is worth it for the great food and customer service - it is an experience, not just a meal."

  • "Great meal! Loved the food and vibe. Sushi is by the single piece when I'm accustomed to getting 2 pieces for that price; however, I knew it would be a pricier meal when booking."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "We enjoyed the evening. Food was great, service as well. Only critique is the chef is heavy on spicyy sauces. Noise level was a bit overwhelming at times."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "There's an area in the back that is quieter - if you want to have a more intimate setting, ask to be sat in the back. Overall, it was a good night of Japanese/Peruvian tapas, but I was hoping the ambiance would have been a little more intimate and less roudy."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "Expect delicious, well-presented food and good service, but do not expect to be able to have a conversation with your table mates. Ambient noise level is in the red zone."
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "Really REALLY great food. I've been twice, and was able to try food that we've never had before on both occasions. The staff was really great one time, and really lacking the other. Overall would highly recommend, but customer service means so much and they could do better in that area."

  • "Menu is varied and very interesting. Unusual and unexpected dishes. Everyone in our group of four was very excited about the menu and the quality of the food. Everything was excellent . We will definitely be back."

  • "My boyfriend and I dined here on our recent trip to Vegas. It was one of the only reservations available at 11:30p as we attended a 9:30 show. While it was not the bustling dinner I had imagined being in Vegas seeing as it was well past the dinner hour, we were very pleased with the dining experience. Our server was very attentive and did a great job of guiding us through the menu. The food was great and perfectly portioned to be able to try an array of items. The more quiet atmosphere proved to make a more romantic evening."

  • "My boyfriend and I had the most incredible time! We loved the food and the service and will come back every chance we get! From the miso soup to the filet mignon & sushi and all the way to the incredible dessert; we were incredibly pleased!"

  • "Have eaten here several times when in Las Vegas. This time we were seated in a back room which was quieter and made for a better dining experience. Food is absolutely outstanding! Sea bass a MUST!!"

  • "SUSHISAMBA IN THE PALAZZO IN VEGAS WAS OUTSTANDING. VANESSA, OUR SERVER AND THE REST OF THE STAFF DID AN AMAZING JOB. WE CHOSE A PRICE POINT PER PERSON AND THE MEALS WERE PICKED FOR US. THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. ONE OF THE BEST MEALS MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE EVER HAD."
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "This was our first visit and the waiter talked us into doing the taster (chefs choice) we gave him our budget and the foods we don't like and they brought us items from each chef. What I thought was great is that they brought us items that we would have never ordered ourselves and everything was delicious. Can't wait to return to Vegas, we will be eating here again..."

  • "We made a reservation at this restaurant based on a great recommendation from a friend. Have to say, it lived up to all of the hype. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a interesting twist on sushi."

  • "I had taken my bf here for Vday weekend. I have been here a few times before. Mostly everything is served on small plates so be prepared to drop some coin ordering several plates of food. Also, if you are looking for a quiet romantic place this in not it. They have a DJ on fri and sat nights playing loud music and you are usually sitting very close to the next group of people. However, the design & decor is amazing and the food is even better. The peruvian corn is a must and the sea bass skewers were to die for."

  • "We had an amazing Valentine's dinner at Sushisamba. The plates are small, tapas style and they come out fast. The place was pretty packed, but we had all of our food within about 20 minutes. Service was awesome, they didn't check on us constantly but my glass was never empty. My only complaint would be the close setting of the tables, but it lends itself well to becoming acquainted with the diners next to you, as well as seeing what else is available on the menu. Overall, I would recommend Sushisamba!"

  • "Food and service was outstanding but music was unbearing LOUD! Not a place for Seniors or anyone else that wants to carry on a "normal conversation. Four of us were not happy and will not return!"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Sushi purist this is not your place, but you can figure that out by the restaurant name and menu. Food is above average but waiters like to push the pricey $70-$100 pp chef's taster menu, I did that one and didn't find it worth the $$."
    Dined on 2/13/2014
  • "We were there on a Wednesday night around 8:30 pm and my wife was one of three women in the entire place except staff) - was completely full with convention men and was unbelievably loud. Have been there other times and it was fine. Food was 5 star and some unique combinations. Highly recommended."

  • "Read many great reviews and I will add another! This dining experience was truly amazing. Had no idea what to order, so my husband and I left it up to our table host. Every plate we tried was delicious. The service was impeccable. The manager also came over to introduce himself and gave us a dessert suggestion, which was also super wonderful. I will be craving this place for quite some time!"
