In this place eating experience is always phenomenal. Love it more every time when tasting different things. Beef on mangolia leave is a hit as is grilled beef tongue. Sushi is outstanding. Sushi Taro is a must at least every two weeks!

I have tried lunch in Sushi Taro for several times. I will give 4 if I rated after my first visit. Howevere, when I ordered Chirashi set again today , the quality of the raw fish was not even on par. They were just leftover pieces, with bones and some grilled parts of the side of the fish. This is so bad for your loyal customers.

Quality of the fish was excellent. I would recommend upgrading to the tokujo set and ordering from the seasonal fish menu. Highlights for me was: scallop, botan ebi, maine uni, anago, and salmon. I didn't know salmon could taste like that. Beside the usual rich and creamy texture, it has so much flavor! the sake selection and the dessert were also excellent.

Sushi Taro has, by far, the best sushi in the DC area. The selection is always top tier, with wonderful seasonal selections. Each dish is beautifully presented and exquisitely prepared. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Sushi Taro.

We both got two different tastings and it was well worth it. Be ready for a long meal. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we did not leave until nearly 10.

I would recommend for people who work or live nearby, like me. The fish tasted very fresh but seemed on the bland side. My yellowtail and scallion roll was tasty. But it was not the best sushi I've had. The tempura was very well done ... Lightly battered, not greasy and flavorful. Miso soup a little too salty for me. Very good service and cute ambience. Hard to find entrance it part of the CVS drugstore building.
