Service OK5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant is attachedThe restaurant is attached to the W Hotel, where there is a very attractive and vibrant pool bar scene, and which is great for drinks before or after dinner at Sushi Roku. In the evening, the restaurant is dimly lit, with a nice ambience, and relatively quiet. Our group of five had no trouble conversing comfortably. Service was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We ordered various hot appetizers, as well as sushi and sashimi to be shared by the group. There are a number of interesting, non-traditional sushi items on the menu, as well as all of favorities. Most of what we tried was excellent, all of it was at least very good. Mostly all sushi experts and all loved it. Jenna, the main server, was as good as it gets. She explained the available options, made great suggestions and considered the business/pleasure nature of the group. (Careful to not interrupt, but still timely with food, drinks, etc) Age group was late 20's to early 50's. The main entrees were worth writng home about! Delicious! The service was stellar, second to none, best I have experienced thus far in Scottsdale. Our server Max was more than great he made sure everything was perfect for my family. Extremely polite and comadeering. We will be eating here again I assure you. How fresh could that be? Sushi Roku blew my mind. The toro was outstanding. The hamachi was outstanding. The uni was outstanding. I don't think I ate anything I didn't love...and admittedly I am a sushi snob. You also have to order the yellowtail sashimi with diced chilies as an appetizer. Spectacular.
