Diner Reviews
  • "The food was great, there wasn't even one mediocre dish.. The noise level is very high. Expensive but high quality."

  • "we went on a friday night. it was crowded but not annoyingly. sat right down and the food came out right away!"

  • "The sashimi here is top notch. I wish the menu were a little more descriptive. I wasn't sure what to order by reading the menu options; however, almost everything we tried was wonderful. The fluke sashimi option was my favorite--it was thinly sliced and well-paired, giving an excellent jolt to the palate! It is pricey, but delicious. The sushi rolls are acceptable, but not nearly as good as the sashimi. Again, I wish I had a more descriptive menu to help me decide what to order, and the server wasn't all that helpful in this area either. She just pointed out a few items that are "ordered often." I will definitely go back and slowly try new things here. Make sure you have a good $200 to spend for two people. Oh and the Moscow Mule is delish!"

  • "Excellent sushi and sashimi at a price consistent with the quality. It is a bit too loud for my taste. But it is very good raw fish. Some of the best ankimo I've had."

  • "I liked the atmosphere but wished our table had been a bit more private. It was cold with the patio door open. One of the waiters was nice enough to close it when we asked if he could. I started off with the Fusion Roku cocktail (really yum). We then ordered the Dynamite Crab roll and Salmon Sushi. The Salmon sushi was fresh as expected. The dynamite roll didn't quite cut it for me. I then asked the waitress to recommend their best roll and she suggested the Katana roll which was a pleasant and unexpected discovery (will order this next time). For dessert, our waitress recommended the Red Velvet bread pudding dessert and that was all deliciousness :) Service was well-timed and friendly. We left with a warm fuzzy."

  • "Baked lobster tail roll was good but the sauce was a bit to creamy, I would it like a citrus touch to enjoy and refresh. Salmon skin hand roll was delivered with a bit of charcoal flavor wrap in heavy duty seaweed, as well as for two more hand rolls we order. In addition we order few more rolls but it was blend. Decor was good, but a little light will help to read the menu. I was hoping....."

  • "It's always a treat to stop by Sushi Roku. Trendy, yet, classic sushi joint that does not veer too far off from what a REALLY good sushi is. In addition, they actually did a great job of adding the steaks into their menu, which doesn't work well in general. But I would actually come here just for their steaks!"

  • "My husband wanted sushi in LA and we were meeting up my son who is on an internship so it was a soecial night. The waiter was sweet and helpful. The sushi was the best we ever had and the dessert was a surprise! It was a little noisy for a Tuesday nite but were in our world. I would definitely go back when in LA and definitely recommend it to others."

  • "We booked a spot at the sushi bar for omakase and it was amazing! Chef Jiro created a wide selection of what was overall a fabulous and delicious meal. It was a perfect tasting of the current sushi trends and you're able to request specific dishes of your favorites. I definitely plan on returning and bringing my other friends with me."

  • "Food not as good, popcorn shrimp appetizer was soggy, nearby table in private dining area was tooooo loud. But overall decent food. I would go elsewhere though for better sushi and quieter place."

  • "Food was excellent and well-prepared. I think that the price was little expensive, but it can easily happen with genuinely authentic Japanese chef working there."
