Welcome to Sushi of Gari! This restaurant is the original restaurant specializing in the wonderful taste of Gari Signature Sushi by Masatoshi GARI Sugio. This restaurant is rather a small establishment, but we offer an amazing Sushi as well as many traditional Japanese dishes. "The sushi was definitely fresh and uniquely as well as modernly conceived. I was sitting at the sushi bar and noticed how many different flourishes they added to various kinds of sushi, mostly sauces and types of condiments. I thoroughly enjoyed the squid sushi for example, with some kind of miso/uni dollop over the top."

"Overall, the ambiance is very relaxing, we had an excellent omakase offering that was beautifully presented, interesting and unexpected. If you're looking for the perfect sashimi I recommend going elsewhere, but if you want fresh pertly cut nagiri with interesting accoutrements, this is the place to go. The sushi is creative, whimsical paired with interesting sauces or flame torched crispy skin. The foie gras preparation was exquisite (did I mention they're marvelously creative?). The mackerel with crispy skin and mildly spicy sauce that was brushed onto the underside of the fish was sublime. As I said, if you're a sushi purist and only want unvarnished fish go elsewhere, but gari hits a home run on creative, deliciously prepared sushi."
