  • "I think when it comes to sushi they need to have more choices and be more creative. I don't think for the price the food was worth it at all."

  • "Very creative rolls, delicious sushi, a fun atmosphere - all with a playful Spy theme tying it all together. We came with a group of 6, and everyone of us found something on the menu that we loved - and that was just in the apps! The poke tacos and pretzilla sliders are personal faves; and the sushi rolls are just fantastically creative and totally delicious! Live this place!!"

  • "This was my first time to Sushi Confidential, and I was really excited to try after a number of friends told me great things. The food and service were great. I was so happy to find a sushi restaurant that had so many vegetarian rolls, and the tempura avocado were delicious! However the music was just way too loud inside. We went at 8:30 PM on Memorial Day, and it sounded like they were trying to start a dance club. It was disappointing to go expecting this fun experience and having to almost shout to be heard. I'd try it again, but would want to sit outside."

  • "Excellent happy hour, lots of choice for drinks and food. "

  • "Made a reservation at 6:30pm and was able to get in at 8:15. Was seated immediately at the high-top tables in the very busy bar area. The waitstaff was prompt and very informative of the menu. We had 4 drinks, 2 of the house specialty sushi rolls (very good sushi), 1 order of sashimi and some rice & edemame's and the bill was $150.00 (including the tip)! A bit high for sushi, but a good dining experience in a very busy Campbell downtown on a Friday night. "

  • "The food was excellent at Sushi Confidential and the service quite good. However, it is a magnet for young techies and, as such, the noise level was just too high. Thankfully, there was not any loud music blasting so that helped. I would go back there but perhaps not on a Thursday or Friday evening."

  • "Came here Sunday night for Mother's Day w/ my Mom but won't be back. Overall, the place is just a bit lackluster. Had reservations so we were seated immediately but the tables are SO close together that the gentleman to our right was almost in my Mom's lap. Just uncomfortably close which also made conversation difficult because you can't help but overhear every single word the tables around you are saying. Food was just eh. The mixed tempura was decent, as were the gyoza (they were actually really good), but the teriyaki chicken was not at all appetizing- way too sweet and the chicken was dry. Service was ok...nothing notable. The place is spendy so for what they're charging, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I won't be back. "

  • "Really enjoyed our first time at Sushi Confidential. The sushi was creative and very tasty! The service was excellent. A little noisy, but that's the kind of atmosphere they are striving for."

  • "I love this place--and the happy-hour menu. I think I've eaten just about everything on it and everything is delicious. And you can't beat the prices!"

  • " Menu selection offered a variety of delicious bites. Service was a bit confusing at first. One girl poured water and offered us drinks, never saw her again. A bit later, a guy came up and asked if we wanted to order any food. No introductions, just straight to the point. A couple hiccups in getting what we ordered, but nothing horrible. The food was amazing, from the hamachi shots, the ahi sliders and rolls we selected. Please note, Friday night, this place is crazy busy and loud, yet we were taken care of. My husband and I went back a couple weeks later on a Sunday night, definitely less people, our server was a bit slow, but he got the job done, ambiance was quieter and the food was still really good."

  • "Sushi was fantastic! Service was even better, if possible! In fact, friend kept commenting on how "fabulous" the service was! Great value for the dollar! Ambience of sitting outside, on a warm evening, enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Campbell, couldn't have been better! A real gem! Keep up the excellent work!"

  • "Sushi Confidential blew us away! Didn't have the highest hopes but we ended up VERY impressed! The sushi bomb app that was recommended by our waiter we got was one of the best things i've tried and their RSM Roll was awesome! We ordered way more food then we needed but we managed to finish it all it was so good. They have a full bar and nice selections of beer, wine, sake and my favorite cold, unfiltered sake as well. Then we found out they have happy hours twice a day - 7 days a week - bonus!! We are DEFINITELY marking this as one of our top pick places and we'll be bringing friends next time!! Can get a little loud inside for anyone looking for a quieter experience....just a head's up on that"

  • "Took my teen boys here for dinner. We love sushi and we've been here a few other times. We loved our waiter, Eric, and his recommendations -- salmon bombs were yummy! However, the food timing was so bad that my one son who didn't have sushi (had salmon donburi which was good) that he was done with his donburi bowl before our rolls came out. When they did come one of them had cream cheese that we expressly asked not to have. Eric took it back quickly but their sushi chefs were so backed up (it was 7pm) that we finally cancelled that order and just ate the one sushi roll that had come correctly. It seems they need more sushi chefs. We've had similar slowdown problems before but never this bad."

  • "I've come here before for several birthdays. This time again was for my boyfriends birthday. We were a large group so they sat us at two long tables right next to each other. This worked out great when it came to splitting the bill. Our waitress, Nikki was awesome. She was attentive to our drinks and made sure we had everything we needed through the entire night. This is a great location to have a large group; there's plenty of food on the menu to satisfy everyone and Sake bombing is always a great time. We will be coming back again."

  • "The food was really good, and they have a gluten free section of rolls, which is fantastic, as I have Celiac. The service could have been better."

  • "We enjoyed the sushi, the fish was very fresh, although the rice was somewhat bland. What we did not enjoy was the noise level. The restaurant was only half full and we could hardly hear ourselves talk over the music and the other diners. Even the outside was noisy, so we might order the sushi for take-out and go somewhere quiet to eat it. The service was good. Our waiter kept checking in at appropriate times."

  • "Made a reservation on open table for 830, arrived exactly on time and they we're prompt to get us seated. Waiter was not very pleasant. Didn't wait for all of us to order drinks. Kept coming back and confusing us a little. The food and drinks were great and our first round came quickly, but as the place got busier the waiter seemed to forget about us. We waited 25 minutes for two rolls of sushi. The waiter then asked if we still wanted them and didn't apologize. I understand it's a lovely scene and a lot goes on but it's no excuse for bad service. Anyways, probably wouldn't go too often."

  • "We very much enjoyed the starters (soup and salmon bombs) and the sushi rolls. The tables are too close together (might have been because of Valentine's day). The overhead music was too loud for comfortable conversation (might be because they have a bar as well). But the food and service were good enough for a repeat visit the next time we have a taste for sushi."

  • "My family and I were really looking forward to trying Sushi Confidential. But our experience was disillusioned when we found human hair in our Savage Sarah sushi roll. Needless to say, the discovery dampened our first experience at Sushi Confidential. But to top it off, our server ignored us the rest of the time. He didn't ask if we wanted another drink or another food item or dessert. He just timidly handed us the bill without saying much to us. The owner or manager did apologize to us, and said that this has never happened before. Unfortunately, we were the unlucky ones to experience hair in our food. We are not looking forward to returning anytime soon, and would hesitate to recommend this place to our family and friends."

  • "The environment and ambiance was pretty cool. The waitress and waiter were both very polite and checked in on us several times. The food, however, was subpar and not very tasty at all. I ordered the jalapeño Spicy Sherlock and my date ordered something deep fried. Both had rice that was not cooked right and the ingredients were less than stellar. It was my second time there and I remember the first experience also being less than amazed with the food. Oh well, two tries and it's not a fluke."

  • "Their sashimi is not as fresh, cut too thin with mostly rice. We also had the RSM roll which I had no idea was fried. I'm not a fan of fried sushi rolls, especially with over powering sauce. Their avocado tempura was delicious, we've never had that before. We both loved the rib eye terikayi, the sauce was excellent."

  • "The food is great and the specialty cocktails are delicious, but the service leaves much to be desired. Plates were forgotten or delivered late or cold if they should have been warm."

  • "I've been here several times and have enjoyed it each time. The sushi and food from the menu are delicious. Very creative rolls which are my favorite. It is ALWAYS crowded so I suggest making a reservation. There's a good size bar, surprisingly, where you can also order off the menu. TVs in the bar to watch sports while you wait. Or, there are several restaurant bars across the street to have a drink while you wait. The service here is very good too, food comes out in a timely manner."

  • "If you love sushi, you need to try Sushi Confidential. As the tag line says “One of the best kept secrets” in downtown Campbell, Sushi Confidential is a unique restaurant that blends American styles with Asian fusion influences. The atmosphere is more hip and modern, and offers a more upbeat vibe. As for the food, the sushi rolls are certainly unique, even complete with awesome [confidential] names. We also had items like pretzel tuna slides and poke tacos, yes pretzel and tacos at a sushi spot, don’t miss these items as they are very good. I noticed that they have daily specials and also daily happy hours 3pm – 6pm and 10pm – 12am, so might be worth checking out. I know I’ll be back on Monday since they offer 15% off all rolls."

  • "The rolls, and that's pretty much what they feature, are ok and nothing special. Mostly a noisy, hangout for the younger crowd that has no experience with real Japanese food. I have had better J-food elsewhere. The Happy Hour does offer some reasonable deals if that's what you are looking for"

  • "We had The Spot Spy-vs-Spy Hidden Hamachi x2 Rainbow and one other whose name I forget (with mango & fried sweet potato) All the rolls were outstanding. Each had a perfect balance of flavors. Hidden Hamachi is my favorite, but the Spot is a close second!"
