Susanna Foo Gourmet KitchenWorth the MoneyAfter reading reviews from previous customers I was a little hesitant making the reservation to dine at this establishment because people stated that it was expensive and not worth the money. I am very glad that I did neglect to believe the reviews because I felt that the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It reassured me that people are disillusioned and leaves me puzzled what people are expecting to receive when they go out. It was an upscale restaurant, not "your neighborhood bar and grill" with 2for1 drinks, so if you want a nice upbeat environment and have the money to enjoy a night out this place is definitely good. Will be back5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day EnjoymentEnjoyed Mother's Day Brunch with five family members. They offered a buffet with outstanding prime rib, turkey and stuffing, and Peking duck. The dumplings were amazing; especially the mushroom dumplings. While I do not eat sushi, I overheard others saying how good it was. They weren't ready when we arrived at 11:00 am, but once we received our complimentary mimosa for all Mother's, we were very happy. The desserts were not to our liking and did not appear to be homemade; but after all the quality, tasty food we enjoyed, we really didn't have room for dessert. The service was as outstanding as the food and our Server was well trained and couldn't do enough for us. Try the Glamour Girl cocktail!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFoo FanLove this place! Many years ago Susanna taught my daughter how to eat with chopsticks. Been a raving fan for years. Guess you could call me a fooie! We had a wonderful time. Relaxing with an informal elegance.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time here.... I wasFirst time here.... I was taking my mother for her retirement happy hour and it was the best. What a way to give my mother a gift she wasn't expecting for her 30years to the philadelphia zoo!!!!!!!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly SurprisedIt was my first time at Susanna Foo's and I am definitely going back. It is perfect for a lunch meeting: great food, quick service and not too loud. I just led my team event at another venue but I wish I had brought them here to Susanna Foo's private dining area. It's too bad I have plans for Mother's Day, otherwise, had I known, we would be dining here. Guess where my family and I are going for Father's Day?5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMamazing food, great service, amazing food, great service, really enjoyed ourselves there!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMNot only was the food veryNot only was the food very good, but the best service I have experienced in recent memory.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunch was great.Easter brunch was great. Highly recommend!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for celebrationsThis little gem on the main line never disappoints. High quality food with a diversity of offerings. My wife isn't into asian cooking so ordered the lamb, which was phenominal. The rest of the party had the suchi and all was perfect as we had expected.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe traveled from MarylandWe traveled from Maryland for my husband's birthday. Because of the distance, we only visit the restaurant a couple times per year, and wished the restaurant was closer to our home. The meal and service was exceptional. I rated the food only very good because the dumplings were greasy from frying. Otherwise a truly exceptional meal.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food, if anything, hasThe food, if anything, has gotten better over the four years we have been coming here. This last meal was close to perfect -- both food and service.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been to Susanna FooWe've been to Susanna Foo several times in the past. The food is outstanding, the service is great, and the kid's Bento Box may be the best kid's meal in the area. We had sushi for appetizers, duck for an entree, and seafood fried rice on the side. All dishes were well prepared and absolutely wonderful.
Our three year old ate all of his chicken, his dumplings, and all of his carrots.
Although more expensive than a standard Chinese Restaurant, the food is so good it is worth the extra expense.12/27/2012 12:00:00 AM
