"This is one of our neighborhood favorites. I love their creative take on Peruvian seafood and ceviches. The food is always fresh, inventive, beautifully presented, and most important of all, delicious. And it's good value for the money; you can make a fine meal with a couple of tapas or appetizers. It's never been crowded when we go; deserves to be better known."

"Fabulous food, attentive and friendly wait staff! If you're claustrophobic, though, you'll have a tough time because the space is TINY and noisy. We already have a reservation to return in three weeks!"

"I did have to drive through a bad area to get to the restaurant, but once we got there I was definitely pleased. Good atmosphere, very attentive staff. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I thought it was wonderful that there was live music as well, it really was a great added touch. I read the reviews beforehand and agree that the ceviche was too salty. The paella that I had was very good, and my boyfriend ate his salmon so fast! Overall it was definitely a good experience."

"We were pleasantly surprised to see that there was a backyard with tables set up - in March! It was a tad cool, but the two heaters they had made eating outside very pleasant. The four of us shared small plates and tapas - no entrees - and there was plenty to eat. Wonderful, creative food with a Peruvian accent. Why is it called Surfish? Because the owner is a surfer!"

"The food and value here are excellent. We were recently in South America and dined on great Peruvian food. The quality was on par with some of the best we had there. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but the meal more than compensated."

"What an interesting and delicious find! I have been here with a friend from Peru who said most of the dishes were authentic peruvian. Other dishes were a bit fusion, but in the best way. Everything I have had here has been DELICIOUS!

Dishes to try:
- Ceviche: Pulpo, tuna, mussels
- Beef Heart: Sounds scary. I know. But take a chance. It does not look or taste organ-y at all and has this amazing sauce that goes perfectly with the potatoes with the sauce (it's a side)
- pulled pork: comes with corn husk and tomale and mouth-watering sauce

Really a great place to try. Oh and little touches like homemade chips and salsa and tap water with citrus push this over the top. In the summer they have an adorable garden outside."
