Sunset Grille - Chestnut MountainOutstanding Mother's Day Brunch!We visited Chestnut Mountain for Mother's Day Brunch 2013. Although the resort itself could use a little updating, the two side-by-side restaraunts were updated. We had a window view (definitely request one if you can!) looking out over the now-green ski slopes and meandering Mississippi River. The view was outstanding. The food was delicious. There was quite a bit to chose from and the champagne fountain was a big hit. The large back deck of the dining area had amazing vistas, so I imagine that would be really nice once the weather is warm enough.
Service was friendly and attentive, especially for a buffet style brunch. The manager made his rounds, inquiring about our visit and everyone wished us a Happy Mother's Day. Champagne fountain is fun.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for Saturday night dinner.Went for Saturday night dinner. Made reservations for 7 PM but on this Saturday it wasn't necessary, the place was empty. I had the beef tenderloins with cheesy risotto and it was very good but in my opinion the presentation was a little off with the risotto piled high in the middle of the plate and the beef tenderloins laid on top. Just saying it could have been done better. I thought the menu was a bit limited and the restaurant was pricey with most of the entree's being around $28-$30. I guess you pay for the view, which is a fantastic view of the Mississippi valley and a great sunset if you are there in the evening.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWent there for our anniversary.Went there for our anniversary. It is in between seasons so we were the only ones there.
