Dinner appetizers, soups, main courses and desserts were outstanding; made with homemade, local fresh ingredients. Inside ambience lacked appeal as it was more of a banquet style setting. Veranda would have been nice if outdoor lighting was available after sunset. A must try though as the food quality outweighed the setting.

Fabulous selection on the breakfast buffet. Homemade breads, bacon, eggs, omelet station, fresh fruit, many other selections. A bit pricy for breakfast but very good.

  • A huge disappointment

After a long trip visiting family and friends, my husband and I looked forward to a leisurely fine dining experience, but instead, we were rushed and interrupted in a very sterile environment. Of the 3 young girls who served us, only one seemed to have any experience at all while the other two seemed to know very little about the menu or the grace of service. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was far from acceptable as well; because it had few of the ingredients that make it such a salad, it should have another name. Three cross sections of romaine with bitter yellow centers hardly constitute a good salad of any kind. On the positive side, my husband's grouper entree was very nicely prepared and presented.

Food was exquisite, very reasonable in price and exceeded our expectations. The Omni purchased AIP a few years ago and it's obvious an emphasis has been placed on excellent food and guest delight. One recommendation would to have candles or some form of table lights on the outdoor tables. After dark you cannot see your food when sitting outside.

To be considered THE upscale restaurant for Omni is very disappointing. Pricing was "to the market", not expensive. It was an OKAY hotel restaurant. Definitely NOT a place for special occasions.

The view was beautiful, but the deck was too hot even at 9 am in April. No shade umbrellas were offered. Wait staff was slow, never got a refill on coffee until we were leaving and took to go. The buffet was dull and full of carbs. Breads and pastries were dry. Labeling of items unable to read. Most item on buffet tasteless. So embarrassed to treat my sister for a special breakfast at this restaurant. Should have gone to McDonalds and saved the $70. No opportunity to voice our experience until now. No management present to talk to. Expected so much more based on reviews and the Omni Resort name.

My family went to the Sunrise Cafe for a Sunday Brunch on my birthday.. we chose seats on the outside deck overlooking the ocean. The brunch was excellent, the weather was fatastic and the service was great. I believe that this is one of the finest restaurants in the Fernandina Beach area and I highly recommend it.

Food was average, overpriced, small menu, not but two other couples in the restaurant on Saturday night; service was average to below average. There was noisy music playing throughout the meal. ONe of our table requested that the volume be lowered, never happened.
