"Recommended by the Laguna Playhouses. Very loud and crowded. The food was fine but nothing spectacular. The drinks were overly expensive in relation to the food and atmosphere. Went there before a play with reservations and over 2 hours to eat and still had to push to get the bill and out of there on tiem for the play. Difficult restrom situation also. Would not recommend it nor return to this resturant."

"The restaurant would have been great in all respects if it were not the food. I ordered the pre-fixe with Mussels appetizer, Blackened Halibut with Risotto, and Chocolate Brownie a la mode for dessert. All 3 were lackluster. The Mussels were a bit overcooked but more importantly, were just warm, not hot. The Halibut was dry and tough and the Risotto would have been good but the dish was served warm, not hot. And the dessert...only the ice cream was edible as the brownie was hard!

Service was excellent however and the location was easy to get to. They also have patio seating which is a bonus!"

"Cute restaurant but really noisy and crowded inside on the rainy evening we ate there, even though I asked for a quiet table in my reservation. It was hard to talk and we were inches from the people eating behind us. The patio would certainly be nice on a spring or summer evening, but the rain kept us inside. The food was good but I wouldn't recommend it for a pre-theater dinner (SDT is two blocks from Laguna Playhouse) because service and food were slow, despite a note on our reservation specifying the time of our show. Overall, it would be a good place to eat if you aren't in a hurry and want a lively, cozy atmosphere."

"Service was great and the food was excellent! My husband had the best filet he has had in a long time - and he travels all over the country eating at the best restaurants! I'm a lamb chop snob - and I have to say they were at the top of the list. It is a great tucked away spot away from the chaos of main drag Forest Avenue."
