The combination of live music and breathtaking views create the ideal venue to unwind after work.

    The Mose Davis Trio is comprised of classically trained musicians Mose Davis (keyboard), Gary Wilkins (base) and Marcus Williams (drums). Mose Davis, a former member of The Counts, has performed NATIONWIDE for 30 years and recently released a solo album.

  • "It was very cold in the place. Several people complained about it. As I write this review, I am trying to get over a cold that I got from there. I give my suit jacket to my date to keep her from freezing. So make sure you and your date each have something to keep you warm."

  • "We were looking forward to having dinner at this restaurant and enjoying the scenic view but we only achieved the second part. The service we were offered was unacceptable. The waiter got our order and took no notice of us till dessert time and then he kept us waiting for another 20 minutes to get our dessert order. He kept himself busy chattering around other guests' tables. He completely disregarded us and as a result of this he was not tipped. I would also suggest adjusting air conditioning in accordance to outside temperature. The temperature inside the restaurant was far too low and made you feel uncomfortable while having dinner. Apart from that, food and view from the restaurant were very nice."

  • "The food and service was excellent. our 10 member party throughly enjoyed their starter plates, entree and dessert. THe design of the restaurant makes it challenging for large groups, as the rotating portion must be "thin", so people sit very close to one another, and it's hard to move around and talk to everyone"

  • "I think this restaurant is OK. The food was decent, there should be more selections. The pairing of the foods are not great, and making changes/substitutions will cost you an additional $6.00 and splitting a plate costs an additional $12.00. ..but it's really about the view. Its not really romantic..i.e. no dim lighting, soft music etc. Just pretty simple surrounding and revolving view of the city. The view is very nice and it was a nice experience. You can take in the view, without attending the restaurant. I must say our waiter was exceptional:-) he made the dinning enjoyable."

  • "Went on 4/11 for our anniversary and spent $400. My wife ordered filet medium rare and it came well done. They had to cook her meal again. So for a restaurant that charges this much you would think like chef Ramsey that all the meals would get trashed and they would start over. No they just redid my wife's weal while the 3 of us eat our food. My wife actually ate alone. However all appetizers were very good."

  • "The views from atop the Peachtree Plaza are fabulous, but the food and service are average at-best, and the prices are ridiculous for what you get. As an Atlanta native, I wanted my child to enjoy the views of Atlanta. In hindsight, I wish we had paid $8 to simply go to the top and look around. The portion sizes are super small and the adults left hungry and with a huge bill at lunch. The restaurant does not even serve bread at lunch. The child's portion was about the right size and more reasonably priced. I have no problem paying for a quality higher-priced meal when the service and ambiance warrant it. We'll go back at night and pay to travel to the top for the views, but it is unlikely that we will dine at the Sundial again."

  • "I had 4 girls - 2 who had not been there. I requested 2 tables in the window area. We did not get them but got a table back from the window. i was told that we could have 2 tables but they would not be together. Also, if the girls wanted to look out the window, they could go to the window and look out. There were people at the tables that the girls could go to. I doubt if the people sitting at these tables enjoyed having 4 girls coming around their table to look out the window. Some were business men. I know I would not have wanted to have them coming around my table."

  • "The Sun Dial was proficient in sending timely reminders once a reservation was set up. The elevator ride is intriguing for the view, your equilibrium, and sense of weightlessness. The seating staff was very cordial, as well as the waitstaff being very knowledgeable for suggestions and questions. The view was astounding overlooking all points of the Atlantic City skyscape. The revolution for the restaurant made it that much better. Families, as well as business meetings were ongoing during lunch and it was a wonderful atmosphere for both. The manager checked on us as well during the meal, and after meal suggestions were offered as well. A wonderful dining experience."

  • "We went to the Sundial to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday. The food was great. I had the filet, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband had the pork chop, which was also delicious. My mother-in-law had the fish of the day, and besides having a few left over scales that she had to remove, she said it was very good. The service was kind of slow, and the waiter was not very attentive, but it was pretty busy while we were there. The views were amazing. I'd recommend going to this restaurant at least once just for the view of the Atlanta skyline."

  • "the view will blow you away, the food is to die for. service was excellent. i had the butter poached lobster and enjoyed wonderful flavors in the whole dish. it had lentils and i have never liked lentils but i loved the flavors in it. great place. i tried to go back a the next night and couldn't get in till 9 pm and felt that was to late. great wine selection and very helpful service over all. if in atlanta you must make this a stop."

  • "I hadn't been to the sundial since my high school prom 25 years ago! We live in midtown and every time my children would see the Peachtree plaza they would ask to go there. So during spring break we went for lunch. The viewing decks are very cool with telescopes and interactive boards to tell you about the views as you go by. After being seated our service was wonderful. We had appetizers (wild shrimp), fried green tomato po boy for the adults and the kids had pasta (very impressed with the kids meal options!) and for dessert ice cream for the kids and fried apple pies for the adults. Everything was yummy. The kids loved the novelty of the restaurant rotating. It was a bright sunny day so you could see all the way to stone mountain! Great!"

  • "I gave the waitress my daughters order first (since she ordered an appetizer that we turned into a meal). After a few minutes she came back and i ordered a cesear salad. She felt the need to tell me that if everyone at the table didn't order an entree, we would need to leave. I told her fine but her attitude totally changed. Once we placed our order, she never refilled drinks, asked if we liked our food, anything! I have been here at least 10 times over the past years since i usually bring out of town guest but I will probably never return due to this woman's behavior. it was extremely insulting."

Service: The service was great, despite the fact that we happened to visit this restaurant on an event night (a prom). Food: The selection was good (although there were limited vegetarian options). The taste, quality, and visual appeal of the food was excellent. Drinks: The wine list was okay. The selection was fairly limited, and the prices were pretty high for what was available. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a unique, upscale dining experience with an amazing view."

I think because we were a younger couple, he did not expect a decent tip and therefore treated us as less. Thats just how it seemed.   • "My partner and I dined at the Sundial Saturday for dinner. This is my second time dining there and the service was impeccable as always. We had a shrimp appetizer and we both had steak for our entrees. Both were good but mine was a little in the salty side. Dessert was awesome, I think it was Hazelnut mousse, amazing.   • "Some friends, Beth & John, flew down from Raleigh for a weekend visit. Altho' John works in Atlanta ocassionally, he had never dined at the Sun Dial. He was so impressed that the next time he is in Atlanta, he will insist that he & his work associates have lunch at the Sun Dial. Beth occasionally flies to London & Paris on work assignments; she tho't the Sun Dial was comparable to dining over there. Way to go, Sun Dial !"

  • "I grew up in Atlanta and brought my 10-year-old son to this restaurant because of the many memories I had eating there as a child. He had always commented on how much he wanted to go to the top of the Westin hotel and see the city. It was worth the cost and the memories that were made while we were there. I am so happy to see that this restaurant continues to be successful and hope to be able to take my grandchildren there one day!!"

The only two negatives I have for the restaurant Will be every time my food came to me it was cold. Additionally there were a couple of guest who were way underdressed for the restaurant."

  • "We had a party of 7 with a 6pm reservation on a Sunday evening (March 30), with empty window seat tables everywhere. I asked for window seats on the phone, as we checked in, and again after we sat down and we were told we could not leave our interior booth because "the tables were booked", despite the fact that almost all the tables around us were empty. Spending $420 for dinner is significant--and to not be able to sit at two consecutive tables along the windows is disappointing."

Add to that I had one of the best salads I have ever had in my life, along with a great Lamb Burger proceeded to cap my trip to atlanta off perfectly!!! Definitly a must when in the city of Atlanta.
