  • "My wife and I had a wonderful birthday dinner here July/2014."

  • "The View was wonderful as well as the food. I'm coming back for my Birthday."

  • "This is probably one if the most breathtaking panoramic views I have ever seen. However, it took 80 minutes for our food to come out. Was received the pork chop was luke warm and the mac n cheese was flavorLESS. The NY strip was over cooked and the potatoes were some what soggy. The server was very friendly, but I had to repeatedly ask for things bc she continued to forget. The manager came out and offered us a discount. This was still not enough to persuade me to ever return. My suggestion for anyone who wants to dine here... go for lunch or drinks. Its definitely scenic but if you are a looking for fine dining this is NOT the venue."

  • "The view was amazing, our server was really nice, I enjoyed the food, our only qualm was the temperature was uncomfortably cold. I think it would be a great place for a date or with a friend but not a place to meet people."

  • "We had a very nice experience at this restaurant. Of course it was on the expensive side, but the service, scenic view, & elegance of this restaurant backs that up. You are treated to superb service, and it is very classy. Please for the integrity of this location, do not embarrass yourself or the patrons by coming in jeans, tennis shoes and/or banana clip. That was a hideous site! This is a very high end restaurant. Food was delicious and you cannot beat the views of Atlanta. Great for a special occasion. Note, bring your parking ticket up with you to dinner & they will validate parking. Huge hassle if you had forgotten to do this. I do think that perhaps could/should be handled on 5th level check-in. Great evening was had by all!"

  • "First time visitor and had a great time! Food was good...except dessert was small considering the price. Our server was awesome and even gave us a happy anniversary card at the end. Great views esp. as sun was still up and day turned to night! Go to the SPG preferred guest member website to sign up and get 20% off!!!! Had read some bad reviews and was kind of nervous but there weren't any bad carpet smells, bad servers, or bad hostess problems. Most of the people who were underdressed were just on the view level but those dining were business casual. Will come back again!"

  • "My husband and I had a delightful dinner at the Sun Dial many years ago while visiting Atlanta. We decided to treat our family again on our recent long weekend to the city. Reservations for 6 were easy to make online (4 kids: ages 8,9,12, and 16). We were seated promptly. The service was excellent not only in being able to enjoy our meal from start to finish in just over an hour, but also because the server was very knowledgable about the area. He answered our many questions about the stunning Atlanta views. The menu selections from appetizer to dessert were wonderfully prepared and presented. Even our pickiest eater devoured her entree which is very impressive! The Sun Dial is a worthy stop while in Atlanta!"

  • "Great food, fine dining. A little pricey to do very often, but loved the experience."

  • "Love the look of the restaurant. Of course it was an excellent view of the city with a rotating restaurant on top of the Westin. Service was great."

  • "We had a great experience at the restaurant. The upper level of the restaurant is an open area where we walked around and enjoyed the sights prior to being seated. Touch screen displays enabled us to learn about some buildings and attractions near the hotel. The décor was pleasant to the eyes and not distracting. As we enjoyed your meal we experienced a wonderful 360 degree view of the skyline of Atlanta during a slow one hour trip around the restaurant. The service was excellent with a very knowledgeable server who responded well to all our questions. We enjoyed the Southern Fried Chicken Breast entrée. The meal was very tasty, good portions, served hot. Getting our valet parking ticket stamped was a great extra. Will go back."

  • "This restaurant made our 10th anniversary dinner an absolute success. Service was magnificent, food was awesome and the view was breathtaking."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "Expect to pay a lot for the view. $1 per person for "unlimited water service". Meals maybe 25% more than other, good restaurants. View is spectacular, but decor is very dated. Service was fine. Food was good, but not as good as some of our other, lower priced favorites."

  • "Its expensive restaurant with great view. the restaurant are cannot accommodate a group more than 15 people. The lounge is also well."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "Quality of food is very average. Basically you pay for the view. Because any upscale restaurant in Buckhead offers much higher quality with the same or even lower price. I would say Sun Dial is overrated, you pay only of the view. The view and atmosphere inside is terrific."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary at the Sundial and it was every bit of what we expected and more and based on the quality of the food, service and ambience, its no wonder it sits "On Top Level""

  • "With a table for 6, we were not seated immediately adjacent to the windows, which I knew to expect from past visits. (Only tables for 4 are at the outer edge by the windows.) However, what we all found very odd was that they were not at all busy when we arrived 11:45, yet they seated us exactly across the aisle from a table of two at the window, so we constantly had to look at them to enjoy the view (and they had to hear our conversation). We thought they were expecting a huge rush at noon, but although others did come in during our meal, no-one was seated in the half dozen window or inner aisle tables we were adjacent to... so we don't understand why we weren't spaced out more. The food was all delicious- some interesting choices !!"

  • "The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing and what you would expect at a 5 Star Restaurant. Do not worry about the cost because you are not there for the food alone but for the complete experience, the ambience, the cloud 9 view. What an experience."

  • "We have a birthday dinner with my family and the server Ms Ann she's FANTASTIC !!!!!! great services, great smile all the time. the price was a little high, but with that services I don't care, because my family have a Great Time Thanks"

  • "The Sun Dial was the perfect place for my wife and I to celebrate her birthday. The only problem that we experienced was that it was very cloudy out, so it took away are view. I will definitely be going again."

  • "The service was great we had a waiter by the name of Jeff he was really good. The food was good I had steak my wife had the pork chop. The price point was decent compared to other resteraunts with similar food and atmosphere it is a but higher but your paying for the novelty of the spinning view. If you go be sure it's on a clear night and that it has not rained. We were so high up that the fog obstructed the view due to the weather."

  • "This was such a letdown. The food wasn't great. My filet was burnt on top, my fiancé's pork chop was tough and the desserts were obviously pre-made. The fact that I paid $150 for that is bad enough but the service was terrible. It was a two and a half hour visit because our server would disappear for 30 minutes at a time. Not to mention he would go visit other tables 4 times before stopping at ours. And he left our finished plates on the table for 30 minutes before getting them!!!!!! I will never return. This place was a joke."

  • "I wanted something special for my husband's 77th birthday. Had been to Sun Dial years ago and it was great. Waited for food and had to send it back. Expensive. Not worth $$. Even charged for water!!! Never again!"

  • "Amazing place with an awesome view. Food and service were equally good."

  • "Food was very overpriced. My husbands and I went this Sat night for our 16th anniversary. We shared the chicken for two dinner. The chicken was a large portion, although bland in taste. The mashed potatoes were not good and tasted like instant. The Mac and cheese was also very bland. For the amount of money we expected much better good. We went last year and the food was better tasting. Loved the views though and was able to catch fireworks from the college games. There was a family in front of us asking to have presents on their table. The manager told them it was a fire hazard. He seemed very stern with them and it was uncomfortable to witnesses. We felt bad and ruined the romantic mood."

  • "I made these reservations for my wife's birthday since we were in town. Even before we got to the restaurant everyone was very rude. We called to let them know that we would be arriving late and the man on the phone said with attitude "well there's nothing I can do with your reservation. If you get here late we can't hold it. Bye" and hung up. We were lucky enough to get another reservation on our way over. We finally get there and I told the waiter it was my wife's birthday. He didn't seem to care and throughout our whole dinner was more engaged with another table. He even sang them happy birthday with the chef and didn't do anything for my wife. Worst place ever. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone."

  • "The food was delicious and the service was en pointe, yet the sweeping 360-degree view of Atlanta was the most impressive part of the experience. We were there in the early evening when it remained light out, but would love to return to see it at night. My son's beef filet tender and came with lovely accompaniments. My lamb was impeccably prepared, but could have benefited from more than just a smear of several flavors and some random green peas floating around the plate. His molten cake and my fried apple pies were beautifully presented as desserts. Overall, a lovely evening and we would definitely return."

  • "One thing that make me come back to any place is the customer service and I can say from the hostesses to my waiter Michael it was an awesome experience which definitely means I will be coming back."
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "The restaurant is breathtaking. The 72nd floor restaurant provides a 360 view of the entire city, great staff, and a four seasons menu. I could not say anything bad! Then... dessert came. The fried apple pie with vanilla and vanilla bean ice cream lacked gourmet taste. The ice cream was okay, controversy ruptured with the fried apple pie. The store bought taste became apparent. Please remove this from the menu."

  • "I had high expectations, I was under the impression this was a restaurant catering to the upper echelons of Atlanta. Naturally, I expected perfection. There was a faint musky smell, similar to the smell of public bathrooms, or stale carpet cleaner. A stain was revealed on the white table cloth when the two other place settings were removed. The wine glasses were speckled with lint and one of them had a crack in the glass. Part of my dish was lukewarm and as a big foodie and self proclaimed chef there were some things I would have done differently on the plate. My dinner date enjoyed her meal, dessert was very good. The waiter was knowledgeable, professional and very friendly, which made the entire experience a pleasant one."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "The service and food was excellent, I visited the Sundial about 20 years ago and it was not up to par. This time it was wonderful. It is sad that some people (guest) think it is okay to always dress like slobs. I realize the staff can not do anything about the dress code - but people should at least wear long pants - the cut-offs should be saved for the beach."

  • "This was a birthday dinner celebration for my friend and the entire experience from the time we arrived until we left was awesome. The scenic view of the city was just beautiful. Our waitress, Ms Ann was the most plesant. Would definitely visit again. Also become a Starwood guest member to receive your discount and points."
