I took my wife here for just a night out so no special occasion. The service was very slow and the place was not packed. Im not sure if that is how they plan it but very slow. Suggested by the staff was the beef and it was over cooked, very small and super dry. The salad was the best I have had anywhere, the coffee was outstanding but the cheese cake wasn't fresh. My wife enjoyed her meal of lobster. Overall it wasn't worth the money spent for the volume and quality of food but the scenic view was great. I would not return for a second meal.

The view is amazing. We loved the view. The crab cakes were very good as our appetizers. I ordered the shrimp and grits. I didn't enjoy the arugula pesto flavored sauce and the grits were baked hard. The taste would work for some people's taste, but it didn't work for me. I order shrimp and grits and crab cakes on a regular basis at various restaurants. I had crab cakes, shrimp and grits at another restaurant the eventing before and the taste were very different. One of our other dishes included hash browns. We didn't bother to eat them. They were dry, chewy, thinly sliced potatoes with very little flavor. I would try other dishes and return for the view and to entertain guest. The service was good, but not as expected. The waiters and staff were friendly. It appears that at averages of $100.00 per couple, and 15-20 percent tips, the waiters don't feel as much need to impress as waiters who serve at lower priced restaurants.

I've never seen Atlanta from that view before and it was breathtaking. The relaxed feeling of the restaurant made my meal even more enjoyable. The oxtail appetizer and the salmon melted in my mouth. My hubby who isn't easily impressed loved every moment . Will be back.

Great restaurant. One of my favorites in Atlanta. The portions are adequate, but delicious. Desserts as well! All the staff are A+. Don't expect bad service, because you won't find it here. The view is spectacular, and worth the extra buck. Ideal for special occasions and romantic evenings.

My husband and I celebrated our 27th Anniversary here. Absolutely loved it! The view was spectacular, food was great, and the service was over the top. The gentlemen who served us had worked at the restaurant for 29 years and brought his A game. I only wish I could remember his name.....Mike I think. I'm horrible at names. Had a great time and will definitely go back.

First date with someone from out of town. He loved it and was quite pleased that I chose this place. When we got seated, he was pleasantly surprised to find the platform moving. It was a little loud, we had to raise our voices, so this is not a good place for quiet conversation. We will come back again.

This restaurant was a bit pricier than I expected. The filet was $55 and 5 shrimp appetizer was $18. However I it didn't deter me from enjoying myself. The view atop the tallest hotel in the western hemisphere is amazing at sunset and into the later evening. I would highly recommend this to anyone celebrating or just wanting a nice romantic dinner.

I have been a vegan for many years and while the waitstaff and the chef dd all they could to accomodate my special diet, I was not very satisfied with the final dish. More vegan/vegetarian options would be great. It took some time for the waiter to get to our table, but once he arrived, he had great service. Changing my reservation was not a problem, and I have a fear that it would be. They knew who we were and that we were celebrating a birthday, this was PLUS. Overall, very good experience. Please work on adding some vegan/vegetarian items to your menu. There are a lot of us in Atlanta!!!

The view of Atlanta's skyline was simply unparalleled (which was the main reason that I booked the table). The recorded intro on the elevator was a nice touch; I couldn't have set the stage any better. The food was superb and was prepared exactly as ordered, although I would suggest avoiding the cioppino; it was a little skimpy and not really up to San Francisco standards. The wine list was notable, but the waiter was a little clueless regarding his varietals. I have to say, however, that my wife was really wowed by the whole experience, so I would highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

The atmosphere and food was simply AMAZING! But I was disappointed with our server and how long it took to get the food. Another table came in after my wife and I in the same section and was getting their food quicker and was getting a warmer welcome. It may be because my wife and I only ordered an appetizer and desert but long story short don't expect to get great service if you don't have a big appetite.

The setting was very romantic and is great for a first time date especially for someone that is new to the city. My server was great and very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, which was small. The small menu was a little depressing, but with such a great scenic view we didn't allowed that draw back to rob us of a good time. One other minor draw back was with the interactive touch pads that is used to identify and give a description of the high rise buildings in the area.

Unfortunately our experience at SunDial was ok at best. I ordered the NY strip medium rare and it was way too tough. The seasoning was ok. My wife ordered the scallops and they were too salty and underwhelming amount of risotto. That will be my last time eating at the sundial unless it's employer paid.

We stayed at the Westin, which was in itself, just ok. We dined at the Sundial, which was the highlight of our stay. The Service was impeccable. The food was without compare some of the best food I have had the pleasure to eat in Atlanta. The plating and presentation was gorgeous, and simply amazing. The Shrimp Appetizer was smoked and served in a sealed glass pot. Upon opening the moke trapped inside wafted out lending a smokey spice to the air. Beginning with that starting point, the meal was masterfully prepared, artfully plated, and expertly served. the wait staff was impeccable and the service was without reproach. I cannot wait to dine there again.

We were really looking forward to our visit to the restaurant but we were very disappointed. We discussed the food and service problems with the manager and he apologized for the problems we had, didn't charge us for the food we didn't like and bought us two desserts which made the visit satisfactory. I will give the restaurant another try if I am in Atlanta again because the view is incredible.

You pay for the scenery. Great views and nostalgic for long time Atlantans. Food average for brunch. Party of 4 about 138 bucks for a birthday brunch. Service was not good. Waiter had been there for 20 years- but never for brunch- so was unsure of menu highlights and choices- even down to my request for over medium eggs instead of scrambled. Back waiter/ busser not engaged for drink refills. Soda sat empty on a few occasions. Server only had I believe 2-3 more tables and service was very slow. To top it off hotel valet could not find our car for 30 minutes. I would go again for drinks/ dessert, but skip the meal- and the valet. Hosts did a fantastic job with my elderly grandmother and very patient.
