The Angry Trout is something to behold. Good presentation.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMCasual dining with great food.If you want great food but without dressing up or if you want to bring the kids to dinner then this is your place. It is a very relaxed atmosphere but it is noisy. If you are expecting Charles Court or the Penrose Room then you will be disappointed with the ambiance. The food will not disappoint, we loved the Caesar salad, escargot, and beef filets. The tables are close so we actually became good friends with the couples on both sides of us. The free shuttle at the Broadmoor will wisk you right up to the door and back. Prince Harry was dining next door at the Golden Bee while we were eating so that can't be bad! The food descriptions were unusual and added to the unique atmosphere. The portion sizes were perfect and everyone walked away full and satisfied. The service was by far one of the best I have experienced from the valet to the wine steward. It was a wonderful dining experience and would highly recommend.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA Modern West Dining ExperienceAt first impression the Summit restaurant at The Broadmoor seems to be a more modern venue with the unique and massive see-through rotating wine rack located directly behind the sweeping bar. The decor also leans toward the more contemporary but everything blends together and flows quite well. Elegant comfort food is the best description of the menu. The service is outstanding and our main waiter, as well as the many others who served us, were knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. The food was very good but was a little on the pricey side. Our table had a beautiful view of the front of the broadmoor and the mountains in the background . I'm was visiting from out of town and always heard great things about the Broadmoor, after this trip I believe all my expectations were met and then some!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSummit's Jazzy dinnerThis restaurant is top notch from the minute you walk thru the door. Check out the glass wine cellar behind the bar wiith the giant stainless carousel of wines. The decor is modern chic. The hostess & waitresses were charming & provided excellent service. I had the three course meal. The salmon was fantastic & coffee mousse/chocolate cake so unique & was scrumptious.
It was a memorable meal. The wait staff are attentive and do a great job. The front desk people can be a little stuck up which is a bit annoying at times.

It was much higher than we expected from a restaurant at the Broadmoor.
