A word from Summit - The Broadmoor
Designed by acclaimed architect Adam D. Tihany, Summit's contemporary design is inspired by the grandeur of Pike's Peak and provides a stunning counterpoint to the classic elegance of The Broadmoor. Wood, metal, glass, leather and fabrics are used throughout the dining room to evoke a modern, yet natural feel suited perfectly to Summit's bold American Brasserie menu and innovative wine and cocktail program.

It all starts with the finest American ingredients and produce found seasonally around the country, which is combined with classical cooking techniques. Whether it's Colorado corn in September, Nantucket Bay scallops in November, or heirloom tomatoes from the heartland in the summer, Summit's stellar menu of year-round favorites and ever-evolving seasonal selections finds strength in a vibrant nationwide network of top-shelf vendors that provide the kitchen with the best possible ingredients.

Diner Reviews
  • "I expected better. Our food was pretty good. Not fabulous. The service was really slow. We couldn't seem to get ice in our water for anything. We were with fun people, so it was still good."

  • "Like pretty much everything at the Broadmoor, this restaurant was very nice but quite expensive. At about $95 per person for dinner with a bottle of their most inexpensive wine and one drink, it was quite pricy. The food was very good though the swordfish was a bit overcooked. The lobster mac and cheese, on the other hand, was excellent. The mussels and escargot were also very good. The best part of the evening was the service which was certainly up to Broadmoor standards and is largely what keeps us coming back to this outstanding facility. All in all a very enjoyable meal."

  • "Excellent dinner. The Angry Trout and the Potato Crusted Swordfish were both wonderful."

  • "Fine service. Excellent waiter, witty but not condescending sommelier (we liked him). A wonderful time"

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary. We had heard several good things about the Summit and decided to try it. What a wonderful dinner we had. The staff was very informative and responsive. We will definitely go back. Had a most enjoyable time."

  • "Food was pretty good overall. Nothing stood out as being excellent my avocado crab soup was very bland and lacked any kind of seasoning. I Wish the atmosphere was catered more toward adults. Seemed to be noisy and not very romantic for a date night. Service was ok but for the area and price I think it could have been better."
    Dined on 8/8/2014
  • "Food and wine was awesome, staff was wonderful. My only issue kids were seated next to us and their parents were at a separate table. I would have expected this would not have been a restaurant for kids."

  • "we always come for oysters and mussels well I went with the nite special beef bour...etc and it was poor. grease all around , looked like leftovers!!!!and small amt of potatoes and veg and the price was high. didn't ask but for a special wow!I did not care for the wheat sourdough bread. loved your crust french or white. we were seated on the bench, great view but the seats...but pads are so low, age has made deep pits where we sat. I was sitting so low to eat. we had our daughter from out of town and I did not want to make a scene. not sure anyone asked. my husband had the duck. meat perfect but lentals were too spice... thats all it came with it... sooo. we all went home hungry."

  • "My husband and I ate the first night of our stay at the Broadmoor. It was a lovely restaurant. Service was attentive. Food was well presented and delicious. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Broadmoor to eat here. A relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Lovely meal!"

  • "We had a very enjoyable experience at the Summit. My wife had trout and said it was outstanding. I had the Wagyu burger and it was ok. Our waiter (Alex) was outstanding and the sommelier was very good also."

  • "We have been coming to the Broadmoor for several years now. The Summit is consistently the best food, wine, and service out of all of the Broadmoor's restaurants."
    Dined on 7/24/2014
  • "Always great service, food and location. A very special evening for a large out of town family gathering. Atmosphere is soothing yet upbeat. And I loved making my reservation on open table. The Summit is outstanding without the expensive "Broadmoor" price tag. Duck Confit the best. What a find. Always make a reservation usually crowded."

  • "The service was very good. Our entrée was very nice. The salad was only fair. Atmosphere pleasant"
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "We were expecting a really wonderful meal with our family based on prior reviews The pate recommended by waiter was not good and we sent it back. Frog legs had no flavor. Everything else was OK at best. Waiter did best to make it a good experience but overall was not worth $300 price tag."

  • "Food was excellent, service was great and really friendly. The courses were timed out just right. We had a great time."

  • "This was my second time here, and both times were excellent. I took my daughters on a date and the service was accommodating. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable, and when I asked for him to pick what he thought I would like, he never hesitated and nailed it."

  • "Everything was perfect; the food, the drinks, the service (Our waiter was Jeb) We were celebrating our 44th anniversary and we were served a beautiful and delicious dessert that had "Happy 44th Anniversary" on the dish. It was very special and we will definitely be back, even though we live in Borger, Tx, a five hour drive away."

  • "we were treated as celebrities because we were celebrating our 60th anniversary-received a special desert"

  • "The service, food, wine and ambiance ways perfect. There is not many restaurants in Colorado Springs that I consider great restaurants, but this is one of them. We will definitely be back! After dinner a short walk to hotel to have a glass of wine in front of the fire outside capped off a great night!"
    Dined on 6/7/2014
  • "Not only was the food, drink and service superlative, they have a sense of humor! The Angry Trout is a delicious whole fish served in a very amusing manner. Part of this restaurant's success is the freedom they give the staff to create. I had an amazing cocktail that was invented by one of the bartenders - a summer cooler made of muddled basil, lime and cucumber with a little agave nectar and vodka. Fresh, fun and located at one of the finest resorts in the US. Go there!"

  • "We stayed at the Broadmoor recently and had dinner at The Summit. The food was very good. The menu was varied and the preparations were lovely. They also had a great wine menu. The service was very attentive. All in all, a wonderful evening!"

  • "Great food but a bit pricy. The service was exceptional as every thing is associated with the Broadmoor. The acoustics of the room need some work as the din when it is packed is overwhelming to the more mature ears."
    Dined on 5/31/2014
  • "The staff was very helpful. They have an excellent children's menu at good prices. It was an excellent dining experience. "
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "Our food was delightful, creative yet familiar. Must try the piñata smash cocktail. The waiter, however, had some attitude. Rather bossy, didn't relate well, seemed annoyed to have to serve us. Made us feel undeserving and ignorant. Lectured us on how to read the menu. Such an attitude! "

  • "Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious and service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Will definitely go back to the Summit. "

  • "I hosted a group of business associates at The Summit and was very pleased with the overall experience. It has a lovely ambience, and the wine display as you enter the restaurant is very impressive. The appetizers were excellent, and the sommelier was very helpful in navigating the extensive wine list. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. A couple of my guests were disappointed with their entrees -- the angry trout and the roasted tenderloin. I and the other guests were quite pleased. I had the lamb shank, and it was wonderful."

  • "I know frog legs are small, but these were tiny - over-battered and tasteless. It was replaced by their mac'n cheese dish, which did not blow me away either. Wonderful chardonnay and great service. Bread served could have used some variety."

  • "Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Great bar.great service. 5 star service. We would go back in a heartbeat."

  • "While the decor and service were great the food was outstanding. The sauces were an especially excellent accent to the main course. The crafted cocktails were unique and excellent as well. The wine list well rounded and contains something for any pallette (and wallet)."

  • "This restaurant had very unique and flavor full dishes. The service was the best. You always had 2 people there wanting to get what you needed."

  • "The food has really gone downhill. Used to be a lot better--made us wonder if there's a new chef. Very disappointing!"
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "Very expensive. I hope they keep the prices from going up more by keeping portions small so guests can sample more items. Most dishes were close to perfect while a couple actually were. Service was excellent."

  • "We expect to have great service and great food at the Summit and we get both each time. The truly great feature of this place is that every single person we interact with, starting with the person opening the door, is courteous and professional and not at all stiff or pretentious. The food is also great from start to finish and I would give it 4 and 3/4 stars. Sometimes a cookie is better with a little less filling."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "I have dined here multiple times and the experience keeps getting better. The food is perfect no matter what you order and the wait staff is wicked courteous. I definitely recommend to try something new at the restaurant you wouldn't order normally because you will not be disappointed."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "This was the first time we had eaten at the Summit Room and we dined with good friends. Everything was just perfect for a dining experience. The prices are a little high for our normal dining out but if we wanted to splurge, then the Summit would be the place to go. The food was excellent and nicely prepared, We were certainly pampered with the Waitress and Wine Stewart attention."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "I had a wonderful time. A bit noisy on the night I was there because a big table was next to us and they were quite loud, but the service and food was phenomenal! Quite a treat."
    Dined on 2/13/2014
  • "We had ordered the salmon, duck and hamburger. I can speak for the salmon in that it was flavorless, with a half cut potato served with the salmon wrapped in bacon. My husband had the hamburger and he commented that the blue cheese overpowered the hamburger. He said that it tasted like a "blue cheese" sandwich. I expected better flavor and more food for the price. The wine was excellent. The service was also good."

  • "We decided to have our hearts and flowers dinner on Valentine's Eve, which we plan to adopt as a tradition. The Summit is well worth the drive down from Denver even if one is not staying at the Broadmoor. The parking garage makes life much simpler than it once was at the Broadmoor, and one can come directly into the restaurant without going outside. The Angry Trout is not only a delicious, hearty dish, but one of the most imaginatively plated you will ever find. The service is attentive without being codependent like so many restaurants these days, and it is a beautiful, unique room, with every table having a view of the splendor of the Broadmoor."
