  • "With Mt Rainier seemingly within a baseball throw away, how could you go wrong. Wonderful gondola rise to the summit and fantastic food at the top."

  • "We have been to Summit Restaurant twice for lunch. The view is outstanding and the food was wonderful. Our granddaughter loved it the first time and our guests from New Orleans were in awe of the view. Having the gondola ride added to the fun. I highly recommend reservations. As we were leaving about 12:30 the line was out the door. I do wish if you can show a reservations email the gondola ride should be discounted. We look forward to taking more guests to the top of the mountain. Thank you for another wonderful day enjoying our food with a view."

  • "Great view of Mt. Rainier on a clear day! We got lucky. Good experience with gondola ride."

  • "We took guests from Texas here for lunch. The view of Mt. rainier is breathtaking. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful, but let us linger enjoying the conversation, sunshine and the view, as well as lunch. Hearty portions. Will return!"

  • "The Summit House at Crystal Mountain has become our go to dining spot for our anniversary. The last 3 years have been great and we plan on visiting every year on July 7th. We also take visitors there when they come from out of State. The view is one of the greatest in the State. The staff makes us feel like we are the most important people in the restaurant."

  • "The sandwiches were quite good and the view is fantastic."

  • "The steak was perfect, very tasty and I would have it again, except for the fries. Like my boss at work, the fries were puny and out of place. The view is GREAT. My waiter did a great job of engaging us in entertaining chatter. The wine (Pinot Grigio) was crap, less than desirable, and too much $$$$. The gondola ride to the 6,800 ft elevation restaurant is fun and Mount Rainier stands proud and majestic as the backdrop. I would, and will return, but I might go for beer and bar food next time. Hard to find another place like this. So, overall, thumbs up!"

  • "Had family visiting from AZ. It was our first trip too. Gondola ride was amazing. The restaurant was wonderful. Waitress was nice and friendly. We figured we would be paying for the amazing views. Much to our surprise, the food was very good! Our family was very impressed."

  • "The food wasn't as good as it once was during their sunset dinner but still ok. The view is still incredible and worth the drive. Unfortunately, along with paying for the dinner, you also have to pay for the gondola ride which could make it a pricey evening."

  • "After hiking around tbe mountain summit, we enjoyed a delicious lunch on the patio overlooking Mt Ranier. THE MOST SCENIC meal I believe I've ever had! Plenty of lunch options from kid friendly to vegetarian. We had the chicken salad sandwich and the bruschetta. Both were yummy! We also took advantage of the full bar offerings since it was a holiday lunch!"

  • "I would definitely recommend a table by the window or eating out on the patio. I had the fish and chips which was very good. The waitress was knowledgeable and attentive."

  • "We went to the restaurant for the amazing view but were pleasantly surprised at how excellent the food was. Large portions, all 4 meals were perfect, and the truffle fries were incredible."

  • "It is worth going to the Mt. Rainer ski area just for the lovely flowers, fresh fresh air and an Alpine theme Now you can almost touch the snow covered mountain year round taking the gondola to the summit house. The reastaurant is a must. A special date, engagment, anniversary or family outing to remember. Great food as well. Be sure to linger."

  • "We went there to celebrate an anniversary dinner. I think it was early in the dining season as the restaurant was fairly quiet, and we did not have to wait. Our server was very friendly and took the time to explain the specials and what the portion sizes were like. My family was satisfied with the entrees and we all had dessert, and they were all beautifully presented. I want to return as the view at times was great although a bit foggy!"

  • "Great place to fuel up before going to ski or before heading up to Rainier. Food is good with generous portions. Sodas were a bit flat, bur may have just been a bad day. Eating outside is the way to go to enjoy some great open air mountain views."

  • "The drive to the mountain, the gondola ride, the view, the food, the service, the ambiance..... Pure Perfection!!! A++! Highly recommend. You feel like you can touch the mountain. We were entertained by the birds, chipmunks but especially the hundreds of ladybugs landing all over us! The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. It was our mom's birthday we were celebrating. We told our server and then she arranged for the chef and the whole staff to come sing Happy Birthday! It was an experience we shall remember forever! Good Things!!"

  • "Went for Father's Day. An hour drive to get there and an overpriced gondola ride for the worst brunch EVER!!! Asked for a Bloody Mary that was disgusting! Sent it back for a Beer. Menu choices were bleak..... And way overpriced! Ordered a chicken sandwich, the ciabatta bread was ROCK HARD, and the chicken was overcooked. Extremely dry and hard like it had been cooked earlier and reheated. Will NEVER come back. Worst 150.00$ I've ever spent."

  • "Arrive crystal mountain take gondola to summit end you will be immersed in a very rare view without using a helicopter .. Great food and staff but the 360 view at 5800 ft of my Rainier and St. Helens priceless ... "

  • "My brother and I took our Mom here for a saturday lunch for an early Mother's day surprise. She had never been on a gondola before and she is always up for some great scenery. Food and view were enjoyable. Limited choices on the menu but that is understandable, since there was fish and chips she didn't need any other options. My steak was very tender and delicious. After being out in the snow and wind the hot cocoa was creamy and sweet without being too sweet. I was glad we were able to get this reservation. After snowboarding the gondola this past Xmas day I knew we needed to find an excuse to take our Mom (who doesn't ski and is terrified of chairlifts) up here. Great experience with some fun pictures."

  • "This was a great way to have a unique and special Mothers Day lunch! There were just a couple of us who were regular skiers on the mountain, so it made quite an impression riding up the gondola for the rest of my family. We had 11 people, one added at the last minute, and they were great to accommodate us. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Of course sunshine and views from every seat made it awesome! The food was delicious, and the service equally good. I highly recommend this place for an wonderful experience and equally satisfying meal!"

  • "I have eaten here at least a half dozen times - sometimes as a break from skiing, several times as a special occasion treat. I was able to take my 80+ year old parents here for Mother's Day dining now that the gondola provides access to non-skiers and mobility limited people. I actually preferred the strawberry spinach salad I had a couple of months ago, but the food this visit was still very good. The fish and chips had 3 very large pieces as well as better than good fries. The house-made ginger lemonade was excellent. Servers are consistently friendly. It was crazy busy on Mother's Day with skiers and non-skiers but the servers were efficient and smiling."

  • "The view is amazing, but the food was astonishing! Even though the food was a bit over priced, at least it was extremely delicious. The wrap was huge and full of my favorite flavors. The burger was perfectly done and tasty."

  • "Everything was great, from the gondola operators to the table being ready and the waiter being excellent and of course the scenery was fabulous although Mt. Rainier was not showing. The food was a disappointment. The Caesar Salad was made from iceberg lettuce and it was very light looking iceberg too! The salmon on top was over done and cold and had brown fat on top. The salad was served too cold. My guest had halibut and it was not as good as other places and the fries which are usually really good were not. Think they needed to change the oil or something because the flavor was old tasting. We had Chardonnay and it was okay but not great. "

  • "What an amazing view! I was blown away by being on top of the mountain...and even more impressed by the restaurant. It was a casual and rustic venue- and reservations are a must! Bustling with skiers and sightseers, this offered a great retreat for all. Great drink list and food was excellent too. Staff was fun and quirky. All around a great place! Definitely recommend!"

  • "The website was challenging to navigate, (I'd gotten an error message implying that the reservation was too close to the current time) so I wasn't sure I'd made a reservation until we arrived. We had a family sit down meal for the three of us after a hungry 1/2 day on the slopes at Crystal. The house salad was excellent - very good salad dressing. The fish and chips were great, and the hikers wrap satified. My wife had a adequate margurita, given that we were above 6000', however my bloody mary was way too salty - I almost returned it, but decided to finish it off. The service was also adequate, but could have been more attentive - I needed to request water to wash down the salt!"

  • "Great view. The food was better than expected, based on reviews. The service was excellent. We went on a sunny Monday with seating reservation for ten thirty. Will go again for an evening show in the summer."

  • "We had our anniversary lunch there. We happened to hit a snowy sunny day. The views were amazing. If your looking for a little adventure and good food, this is the place. We even made an extra order and took the chili for 2 home for dinner. A warning if you like Bloody Mary's....really spicy!! Yes, we will go again."
    Dined on 3/30/2014
  • "The food was ok but the view and the service was spectacular. Although I didnt have the burger it looked great. The chilli could have been hotter and the cole slaw needed salt. Overall I think the food lacked seasoning."

  • "All is good but truly the hours for last dining should be around 3:30 to 4 with day light savings time. Felt rushed and with laying down about $300 for lunch with gondola ride and food/wine it should not be that way. Also needs to be a discount for meal or gondola when spending more then $50 on food."

  • "Hi..It was a beautiful day, we had a great experience. The chili was a perfect option on top of the clear, snowy mountain setting. I am looking forward to taking friends and family, that have not been up there in years, especially a coworker for her birthday. Great views, the food and drink were great, which was an added bonus."

  • "We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a very fun, relaxed time. The only issue was that our waiter took for ever to get our drinks. Only half of us got water even though we skied him multiple times."

  • "The ride up was awesome, the environment was amazing... What else can someone say other than WOW... however our server Dustin made the meal even better.. he was attentive and made us feel like we were at home. We will be back, be prepared to spend some good coin and deal with a slightly crowded restaurant,."

  • "This place offers a great view and good food. It's a bit pricey for what you get but then again you're on the top of a mountain. It's a great experience to take the gondola to the top, have lunch and ski down. Our waitress was very nice and helpful as it was our first time up and finding the trail to ski down wasn't very intuitive. She was patient and helpful."

  • "Their cocktails are good however overall food quality needs a lot of improvements compare with the price. Service varies depends on the day you dine..."

  • "Pros: The only ski-in/out dining place in Crystal Mountain takes a reservation to avoid lunch crowds. Have nice selection of drinks. Their cocktails with fresh squeezed juice are good. Great views. Cons: Service is slow. Poor food quality compare with the price."
