  • "What an amazing view! I was blown away by being on top of the mountain...and even more impressed by the restaurant. It was a casual and rustic venue- and reservations are a must! Bustling with skiers and sightseers, this offered a great retreat for all. Great drink list and food was excellent too. Staff was fun and quirky. All around a great place! Definitely recommend!"

  • "The website was challenging to navigate, (I'd gotten an error message implying that the reservation was too close to the current time) so I wasn't sure I'd made a reservation until we arrived. We had a family sit down meal for the three of us after a hungry 1/2 day on the slopes at Crystal. The house salad was excellent - very good salad dressing. The fish and chips were great, and the hikers wrap satified. My wife had a adequate margurita, given that we were above 6000', however my bloody mary was way too salty - I almost returned it, but decided to finish it off. The service was also adequate, but could have been more attentive - I needed to request water to wash down the salt!"

  • "Great view. The food was better than expected, based on reviews. The service was excellent. We went on a sunny Monday with seating reservation for ten thirty. Will go again for an evening show in the summer."

  • "We had our anniversary lunch there. We happened to hit a snowy sunny day. The views were amazing. If your looking for a little adventure and good food, this is the place. We even made an extra order and took the chili for 2 home for dinner. A warning if you like Bloody Mary's....really spicy!! Yes, we will go again."

  • "The food was ok but the view and the service was spectacular. Although I didnt have the burger it looked great. The chilli could have been hotter and the cole slaw needed salt. Overall I think the food lacked seasoning."

  • "All is good but truly the hours for last dining should be around 3:30 to 4 with day light savings time. Felt rushed and with laying down about $300 for lunch with gondola ride and food/wine it should not be that way. Also needs to be a discount for meal or gondola when spending more then $50 on food."

  • "Hi..It was a beautiful day, we had a great experience. The chili was a perfect option on top of the clear, snowy mountain setting. I am looking forward to taking friends and family, that have not been up there in years, especially a coworker for her birthday. Great views, the food and drink were great, which was an added bonus."

  • "We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a very fun, relaxed time. The only issue was that our waiter took for ever to get our drinks. Only half of us got water even though we skied him multiple times."

  • "The ride up was awesome, the environment was amazing... What else can someone say other than WOW... however our server Dustin made the meal even better.. he was attentive and made us feel like we were at home. We will be back, be prepared to spend some good coin and deal with a slightly crowded restaurant,."

  • "This place offers a great view and good food. It's a bit pricey for what you get but then again you're on the top of a mountain. It's a great experience to take the gondola to the top, have lunch and ski down. Our waitress was very nice and helpful as it was our first time up and finding the trail to ski down wasn't very intuitive. She was patient and helpful."

  • "Their cocktails are good however overall food quality needs a lot of improvements compare with the price. Service varies depends on the day you dine..."

  • "Pros: The only ski-in/out dining place in Crystal Mountain takes a reservation to avoid lunch crowds. Have nice selection of drinks. Their cocktails with fresh squeezed juice are good. Great views. Cons: Service is slow. Poor food quality compare with the price."

  • "What a lovely, warm, and good restaurant with a great view! Good service, great food... A special treat when skiing.."

  • "I love skiing at Crystal Mountain and as a treat, to avoid queues at lunch I always make a reservation using Open Table. I usually make the reservation on my way up the mountain in the first gondola. The thing that I love about the Summit House is that my table is always ready for the time I have booked it. I come in from the ski slopes and I have never had to wait for my booked table. There is a great variety of food as well - I had the hikers wrap on the weekend and the previous weekend I had the chili - both were great portion size and both were tasty. One final comment on this place is the view - on a blue sky day - the view is incredible."

  • "True to Crystal Mt doing things half way, they took my reservation but closed the restaurant without telling me. Nice...."

  • "The idea of the restaurant is super cool. It is very exclusive feeling as you have to take a $20/person gondola ride to get to the top of the mountain to eat here. The view is spectacular, and if you make it on a clear day, you'll certainly want to eat by the windows. That being said, do not think that this is going to be a super romantic venue with amazing food. We ordered steak and fries and la croque monsieur. The steak was very fatty and topped with a hard puck of what was supposed to be some sauce. The sandwich was soggy. This meal was well overpriced and I got back to the hotel still feeling hungry. It's a good thing we had an amazing person waiting on us. She was attentive and friendly despite us being her very last table."

  • "The view of this place was amazing! Enjoyed the ride up on the gondola. The food that we ordered, chili for 2, and a few drinks were great! My husband really enjoyed the chili and cornbread. However they provided poor service. The waitress spilled our drinks on the table and didn't bother to clean the mess up. If it weren't for the food and view, we would have definitely complained even if it was for their mess. Over all it was fine."

  • "Bright Sunny day, table by the window and an incredible view of Mount Rainer - wow. Everything about the Restaurant and view were great. As for the food, a Hamburger was $18 and other lunch items went up in price from there - but understandably so based on the location of the Restaurant so we were fine with that. But $20 each for the Gondola ride up the the Restaurant seems like it's its excessive. For a family of 4 it would be $80 just to get to the Restaurant (a 10 minute ride). Just an idea, but for guest that have made reservations, a $5 fee for the Gondola would seem reasonable."

  • "This is a fantastic setting--the views are spectacular. We usually eat at this restaurant whenever we ski at Crystal because of the view and the reservation policy. The food this year was mediocre at best. (Last year's food was also mediocre.) The year before that the quality of the food was much better as was the menu. Was there a change in chef? The current menu is acceptable, but the execution of that menu is absolutely not. Members of our large party really didn't want to eat there a third time. We discovered that the salads were fine, and several of us chose those instead of any of the cooked food. You can add a grilled chicken breast, salmon, or crab (waitress said the crab was canned). Salmon--dry & salty previous day."

  • "You can't get a better view but the food was way below average. For the price I exspected much better food but what we got was equal to Denny's."

  • "The best thing about this restaurant is its lovely setting and views of Mt. Rainier. The food was decent but not great. Definitely over-priced for what you get, but there was a good children's menu with good prices. Worth going to if you're going to be at Crystal Mountain but definitely not a foodie experience."

  • "We made a reservation for the New Year's Eve. The view was spectacular - sunset Mt Rainier. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. So on January 2nd, we decided to go there for lunch. This time without reservation. This was a very different experience. We were seated and ... forgotten. Nobody came to greet us for about 30 min. After we exhausted all topics and admired the views, we decided to ask if they knew we were here. I approached the waiter and asked if he was aware we were waiting. With extreme irritation he said, "Don't you see we are busy ?! We have only two servers." We waited 10 min more and then left. So, if you want good service in this place in addition to good food and spectacular view - make a reservation."

  • "Staff was accommodating, as two of our party arrived late. Hostess even let us use her cell phone as service was limited. Absolutely amazing view! Great service and good variety for a limited menu. Good value too!"

  • "We liked the experience of riding the gondola up and eating up top. I brought my son, and 2 of his friends and myself. 4 gondola tickets 80.00...plus a meal for 4 with no alcohol cost 88.00...3 hamburgers and a chicken and mashed potato. So pretty pricey lunch. The food was good and we enjoyed it but said and done it cost us 185.00 by the time we added the tip in. You can add 8.00 to your ski ticket but then you have to take time away from using your expensive day pass to ride, eat so it doesn't make sense when you have bought a all mountain. My only complaint was the price....the food and experience and scenery were beautiful."

  • "When I made our reservation for lunch I requested a window seat and that is where we were seated for lunch! The scenery from the window seat is beautiful, the food was very good and the ambience was perfect. I would highly recommend the Summit!"

  • "On a clear day, the view of Mt Rainier (right in front of you) and the other mountains (Mt Adams, St Helens, Olympic, Cascades) is fantastic! - Food at the restaurant was very good."

  • "We went as a group for Christmas Day. The restaurant was full but we had reservations. We were there for over 2 hours. Our food took forever to come to our table. Our waiter did not keep up with our drink orders and refills. Our food was delivered at all different times, so some were eating and others not. The food was good but not amazing. we had to talk to the manager just to get the rest of our food delivered to our table. I believe the waiter had no control over the kitchen, but he could have checked in with us more often. I would recommend only for the beautiful view."

  • "We had family visit from out of the country that had never touched snow. What a great first experience with fine food, service and ambiance. We had combination seafood plates and fish and chips that were excellent. The fresh made lemonade and gingerale were also very good. The tram ride to and from the restaurant was also a hit!"

  • "View on a sunny day doesn't get any better. Lunch was good. (fish and chips). Saw someone order a burger and I wished I'd had ordered it instead. Service was pretty good. Could be a little more attentive but it's a ski resort so could be the reason why. Its like having lunch on top of the world."

  • "We went to the Summit while in Seattle visiting our son for Christmas. We were disappointed that it was a foggy day and we could not see the magnificent views that we know are there but that is out of the control of anyone. The food is excellent. We started off with truffle fries which were incredible . We loved each dish we ordered. I got the salmon pita which was outstanding. My husband got the baked and cheese and my son the fried salmon and chips. All were great. The service was friendly, efficient, and they did not rush us at all. would recommend this place and hope you have clear day to enjoy this spectacular setting."
