The Summer Shack is a fun, casual, restaurant. Specializing in New England Style Seafood. We offer 10 to 12 different types of oysters daily. Lobsters in varying sizes and styles including our signature clambake. Wonderful local grilled fish and crispy fried seafood. We do offer several non-seafood… items as well. Steaks, burgers and award winning fried chicken. We are a children friendly restaurant and we can accommodate larger groups upon request.Continued

"Their was a small child running around the whole restaurant who kept runnin by my table being obnoxcious. Meanwhile a woman who I assume was his mother stood in the middle of the restaurant talking to another couple (man and woman) for almost the whole time I was eating and ignoring what the child was doing. It seemed like maybe at least one of these people worked there or they knew the people that worked there at the restaurant. This was very disturbing while I was just tried to eat my meal but the kid kept running by me shouting things. It's really anoying when people bring their kids to restaurants and don't pay attention to what their children are doing. The food was good but I may not go back there again based on that experience."

"The chardonnay by the glass was a particularly stingy pour. The restaurant should serve 175 mls at least! Great beach like atmosphere."

"We waited quite a bit to be greeted at the door and the host explained that they were taking care of a large party (a bus load from France.) The food was good, a bit pricey for what it was. We had chowder (okay), oysters (good) and calamari RI style (good, very small portion.)"

"Out of town guests wanted a Boston fish house experience. Summer Shack was the perfect place. Our young server was sweet, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was great. A little loud for easy conversation."

"Food was good other than the steamed clams....although they tasted very good and were very tender, they were filled with sand. The cooking staff needs to better clean their clams to prevent all the sand inside the clam meat."
