We went to dinner here for the first time on a Saturday night. We arrived early so we had a drink in the bar where there was a live jazz band playing. When we sat down at our table, there were so many specials in addition to the regular menu that we had a hard time choosing. We ordered the seared ahi tuna and the crabcake - tuna was a little overdone, but the crabcake was devine! I ordered the filet oscar style - highly recommend! My date ordered the special filet with lobster stuffed with crab imperial. We had a hard time distinguishing the crab imperial because the lobster was burned, but the waitress took that off our bill. Other than that, the food and ambiance were good. A bit pricey, but a great place for a special occasion.

Good steak and prime rib.Despite expensive reputaion prices on 3-course menu reasonable for a lot of food. Salad & desert excellent. Service inconsistent. No ice in "ice water. Had to wait for salad while waitress took order from table for 6. Other servers brought dinner, couldn't they have brought salad. Dessert service also slow for something that didnt require prep. Wonderful waitress uniforms.

I have never been disappointed with a meal at Sullivan's. Many Foodies fondly call it Sully's It's upscale dining with a fun relaxed feel. The service is spectacular and the ambiance is classy for a steakhouse. But you still have the manly steakhouse feel. You are guaranteed to enjoy your experience and if life happens management is sure to make it right. Sullies is one of my favorite eateries. Enjoy.

Here's a hopping restaurant with all the fit & finish of the best in class, but the feel of your neighborhood ol' favorite! The Management here is concerned only with your interest at heart and it shows in spades. Wine selection is superior but some of the prices...A little higher than they need to be. If they dropped pricing about 20% they would serve much more wines. Perhaps a special pairing offering, (I’m just sayin.) Overall, this is a must for a business meeting, romantic dinner for two or a great spot to bring Mom!

The food was fantastic. However if you are looking for a romantic night, the dining room is not where you should have it. I recommend the bar. Light Jazz and great lighting. The dining room is playing oldies and is a little loud. Over-all we would come back but sit at the bar. It is a place where I can see my husband and I in the winter at the bar enjoing a nice quite night out.

An average steak. The set up tries very hard to resemble a NY steakhouse, it seems to fail. The bar pours there drinks thru a strict measuring system, so do not expect any terrific drink to arrive. Certainly priced like the Palm -Mortons -etc., but is 2nd class.

Sullivans is an excellent steak house with great atmosphere and delicious food. The service is responsive, and the staff are very attentive. The dining room is a little dark, but since they start service at 5pm (no lunch or early afternoon hours) the subdued lighting contributes to a relaxing dining experience. I highly recommend the salad with blue cheese dressing, a regular item on the menu that goes well with all of their entrees. Steaks are prepared impeccably to order, and the desserts are sinful, especially the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream!

Overall, outstanding food and service. The steak was cooked perfectly and melt-in-you-mouth tender. Sides are enough to serve 2 people. The horseradish mash potatoes are worth the visit alone. The food was adequate,, but overpriced and overrated. I don't mind spending money in good restoraunts, but when I asked to substitute a baked potato for mashed potatoes the charge was $8.00. I declined. My friends and I dine at Sullivan's often, but primarily for convenience and proximity to our homes. The $29.00 special can't be beat for price, but it is nothing to rave about and frankly that's all it's worth-but not $8.00 for a baked potato.

Excellent food and a neighborhood favorite. Just a suggestion, having been a regular now for months, you would expect the manager (r. Tedesco) to acknowledge you. He is always gracious but no exactly keen on who the regular and returning customers are. A bit surprising for a restaurant of this category. But it is still enjoyable and we will continue to come over. Thanks.

Always enjoy an evening at Sullivan's Steakhouse (this time, wife's birthday), good steak choices, always prepared to order, good service, well paced, cocktails well made, no pressure to order specials or extras. Used gift card, which in some restaurants categorizes as 2nd-class citizen; not here; use of gift card subtlely handled. Always look forward to return...one of first thoughts when special occasion. Love their formula for service.

    CharmCityEaterVIP

My eldest son requested dinner at Sullivan's for his 26th birthday, so I took all three of my sons there for dinner; I told them "it's a nice place," and they should dress appropriately (i.e., collared shirts, no sneakers, long pants.) I was shocked at the attire of the other diners; I'm a "no jacket required" kinda gal, but the majority of the adult men were in shabby shorts and t-shirts. It didn't jibe with the prices on the menu, and frankly, negatively impacted my impression of the restaurant. The music was also too loud to have a conversation without raising one's voice. I won't likely return.

We travel to Wilmington 4 times a year on business and look forward to a dinner at Sullivan's each time. We always order the small filet mignon with mushrooms and the to-die-for-onion rings which we have nicknamed "Bangle Bracelets" because of their size and a bottle of whatever red wine looks good. The entire dining experience is a consistent treat!
