Sullivan's Steakhouse - SeattleOur favorite special occasion placeWe got to Sullivan's 3-4x per year and always have great service and food.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food and atmosphereWe went as a group and all really enjoyed our meals. The steaks and seafood as well as the salads and side dishes were delicious. The prices seemed appropriate given that the portion sizes were very reasonable. The service was impeccable and it was a really nice ambience for us to be able to talk and hear one another, which sometimes can be hard at restaurants with more vibrant scenes. There was piano music in the background and just a low din in the restaurant. I would go back again soon.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent ServiceWe were early for our reservation but we were seated right away. Our server was exuberant and walked us through the menu. The wine list was extensive but we all found something. The server was very helpful in discussing various menu items with us. Had the Copper River Salmon, plus shared excellent sides of brussel sprouts/baked potato/potatoes au gratin. The meals came with a choice of salad…the ceasar was very tasty but almost entrée size. We shared Coconut Cream Pie, plenty for the 4 of us. It was delicious, ceamy with a prominent coconut flavor and a light, buttery, graham cracker like crust. The service was outstanding. The manager came by the table and additional service staff was attentive. An excellent experience that I will repeat.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDe-Licious!I had a client in from out of town and since she was staying at the Sheraton, it was easy to walk across the street and dine at Sullivan's. I am so, so glad we did. From the waitstaff to the quality of the steaks, salads and drinks we ordered, the meal was more than I expected. I truly impressed my client.
While the waiter, Jason, was just the right amount of attentive, we were impressed when the GM came by our table. The level of attention was just perfect - we never felt rushed and thank goodness: we took 20 minutes to decide what to eat from the terrific menu.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreatNot only is the food really good, but the wait service and managers are amazing. Our waiter came frequently enough but not too often, and was attendant without being bothersome. The food was amazing, the three cheese garlic crusted mac n cheese is wonderful, and my rib-eye was cooked to perfection.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDate NightGreat place to take your wife on a date night. Total package.... Great ambiance, food and service.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for ACT / 5th theaterWe had tickets to a play at the Act, which is kitty corner to Sullivan's, and thought we'd stop in for a bite after the play. This was my first visit to Sullivan's, and the food was marvelously delicious and the service was wonderful, so I'll definitely be back. Some things of note though that I would have preferred to be a bit different: If you don't like LOUD bar music, get a seat in the back of the dining room if possible. We were pretty close to the bar area, and the music from the bass/piano in the bar combined with the overhead music, and could be bewildering. Also, if you're going to the Act, go to Sullivan's BEFORE the play, not after. By the time the play was over, the kitchen would only be open another 10 minutes.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSullivans...always a winnerI always enjoy my time at Sullivans...great food, great service, valet parking when I go to the theater...love it.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Treat for EverybodyIt was a mother's day brunch treat but it felt more like families day...indeed, quite a tteat for everyone. The food presentation and quality were superb!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA night at the TheaterGreat steakhouse close to the ACT theater. The pre-fix menu is a great choice for those in a hurry (aka running late for show). Wait staff was excellent and attentive. Will go back when not is such a rush.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food but a little slow.Food was very good and the 3 course fixed price menu is a great value. You will not be overwhelmed by the size of the entrée but after an appetizer and a salad, you may not have room for something huge. Our problem was timing. We arrived at slightly after 6:00 and needed to get to the 5th Avenue Theater for an 8:00 show. We received an anniversary card for a free dessert so we had a few hurried bites and arrived at the theater at 7:55. There should be some middle ground between feeling rushed (as we have been at other restaurants recently) and the overly leisurely pace we experienced on Saturday night.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pleasant dining experience.Very pleasant dining experience. Wonderful food. Lovely decor. Have also dined at your location In Anchorage, which is where we first encountered a Sullivans.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful place, truly enjoyedWe picked this restaurant without any knowledge about it, but ended up a wonderful experience. The staffs there are very nice and friendly. The waiter, Chad, is great guy who is knowledgable and professional. The food was excellent. After knowing it was our anniversary, a young lady came to take a phone and by the end of dinner, the General Manager, Ann, showed up, presenting us a very beautiful greeting card with our photo and signatures of 17 staffs! It was a total surprise for us of course. (Yes, we got a complimentary dessert as well). We will come back for sure!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMUnfortunately had a completeUnfortunately had a complete turnover in staff and managers.....
also offered farmed East coast salmon!!!!!!!!!!!!! avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steak prices are good in comparison and $39 prefix is decent4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExtremely good, but....My experience was great. The food was amazing. Had the 16oz ribeye and my girlfriend had the 16oz new york strip.
Mine came with the roasted pepper truffle sauce and hers with the bernaise. Both were absolutely delicious. The waiter
We had was very nice, not pushy, seemed to come at the right time and not be overbearing. I would go back again. I
Wonder for a place that good it didn't measure up to the same style as a ruth's chris or the metropolitan. The crowd
Showed that. It was a sat night amd completely empty. The bar when we walked in for our reservation was a ghost town
And the dining room not much better with a much older crowd. Never the less, I would recommend this place solely for the
dining and romantic experience.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always enjoy Sullivan's.We always enjoy Sullivan's. We go there when we are attending shows at either the 5th Avenue Theater or the ACT Theater as Sullivans is within a block of either theater and they offer complimentary valet parking which greatly eases the after-theater scramble. The food is uniformly well prepared and the staff is gracious and professional.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to eat and socialize.Sullivan's is one of the few places that I recommend to friends as a great place to eat. It is a great finisher to a show at the 5th Ave. Theater. It's a no rush place to eat and have fun!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service by a knowledgeableGreat service by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food was excellent and well prepared. The noise level was a little high. I had the red pepper rubbed steak and horseradish mashed potatoes and it was all very well made.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFood PlayWe love Sullivan's and decided to stop there before seeing the Jersey Boys at 5th Avenue. We also took advantage of the 3 courses for $28 special instead of diving into their menu.
The steaks were done perfectly and of course the Spicy calamari was as good as it gets. I do not like spicy foods and I love this appetizer.
The greeters were over the top friendly and the waiters were attentive and quick.
We like having quiet dinner and this is not the place to eat at if you want to be able to talk easily at the table. Got a little better once the bar thinned out.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGood EatsSullivan's is always a great spot for a bite to eat. I had the luxury of visiting during Restaurant Week and enjoying a steak at a wonderful price of $28. I did notice they have an everyday option very similar for $39 so I may be visitiing again soon for a savory steak!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place before a showOverall, great service. Was seated by the general manager who was very friendly. The service was prompt as they knew we were trying to get to a show after dinner. Steak was good, drinks were good, sides were just ok. Would go back.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSullivan's hands down best!First time coming to this establishment, and I have to say it is utterly amazing! Literally the best steak I have had in the seattle area. Service was fast, prompt, and quick! I will be going back!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFelt at home with great service.Felt at home with great service. Filet was awesome. My rib eye was delish, bit a pretty fatty cut. I have had plenty of rib eyes to say this. :-)4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a pretty good time hereHad a pretty good time here with the fiance for Seattle Restaurant Week! What a deal, a 3 course meal for just $27 and that included a steak? I understand it's not Metro Grill or anything but this place is pretty good.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSuper place. Loved our food.Super place. Loved our food. A bit spendy but they do have a prefix menu also. Piano man added great ambiance to the bar which we breezed by but I can't wait to go back just to hang in the bar. Very hip vibe.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my sister here forI took my sister here for a birthday dinner before we went to see Jersey Boys. The food was fantastic and the waiter very attentive. His suggestions were much appreciated and his recommendations spot on. I'd love to come back soon.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSeattle Restaurant Week review1st time here, during Seattle Restaurant Week. Service & food were outstanding !
The SRW Menu was a " Buy " ! Had Filet with Gorganzola Butter, Caesar Salad and
Key Lime Pie. Outstanding value ! My guest had Filet, Wedge Salad and their signature Bread Pudding ...... once again, all Top Cabin !
We had tickets to see Jersey Boys at 5th Avenue, and all staff was attentive
to our time constraints.
Would not hesitate to recommend or come back !4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest of Seattle (& Restaurant Week)We decided to try Sullivan's for our Girls Night Out after seeing it on the list for Seattle Restaurant Week. Other than waiting 25 minutes for our table I had made reservations for the day before our evening was nothing short of perfect. Even when our server accidentally brought out the wrong dessert he had the right one on the table before we could fuss and insisted that we keep the accidental dessert anyways. He made us feel like very special guests and we will definitely be back again and again. In fact we were all still talking about our amazing meal today. Thank you for a memorable evening Sullivan's!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe experience was great andThe experience was great and so was the food. The wait staff is friendly, professional, and fairly well-informed. The only thing that our server was unable to answer was where the salmon was sourced. Although the menu said Bay of Fundy she did not know (and neither did we) where that was. She insisted that it was NW salmon, but as it turns out it Atlantic. Nevertheless a great evening. We chose from the prix fixe menu and were not disappointed. Very happy with the prices too. However, as usual, the most expensive part of the meal was the drinks!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMTook 20 minutes for a serverTook 20 minutes for a server to take care of us, but the restaurant made it right, and the service after was great. Food was outstanding.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was our anniversary andIt was our anniversary and we received a photo signed by the staff...very sweet. The portions were so generous that I took home about half my order and it was still delicious the next day! We will definitely return. Sullivan's is a short three block walk from our condo, so location is perfect as well.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved our meal after enjoyingWe loved our meal after enjoying an afternoon Matinee at the ACT Theatre just across the street. This is a great location for just such an occasion as we could leave our car parked in the Convention Center Parking lot and walk to and from our dining destination very easily.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWow, went there for the firstWow, went there for the first day of Restaurant week for $28 per person. It was a limited menu but with great choices. My wife had the 8 oz filet, with iceburg lettuce with blue cheese, and broccoli for a side. I had the 12oz New York, with a caesar salad and horseradish mashed potatoes. The sides were huge and spectacular. The steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender. We ordered chilled prawns above the normal offering and they were great. Martinis were served ice cold. Good choice of wine. Rebecca our server was fun and efficient.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellent. The service was excellent. Our waiter Chad was excellent. The GM brought us complimentary mushrooms. The food was fantastic and they even served large portions. We were celebrating my birthday and they took our picture - put it in a folder frame and the staff, chef and everyone signed it. I would recommend Sullivan's!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPhenomenal placeAbsolutely love it. This food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and attentive. I went here for my anniversary and everyone was so supporting. They even made us a free card with our picture in it. I would definitely recommend this place. Food was absolutely delicious.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been to Sullivan's onWe've been to Sullivan's on numerous occations and will be going back. It's always been a great dining experience.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner and a Play. OutstandingWe have eaten here several times before and like the overall location and menu. The dinner on Saturday night was for my wife and I and our best friends. One of the things we like is the free valet parking and the proximity to the ACT Theatre (across the street) and 5th Avenue Theater (very close by). We had 5:30 PM reservations and told the staff that we were going to a play at the ACT and wanted to leave about 7:30 PM for the 8 o'clock show. After we were seated, the waiter came by for our drink orders and said that he had been informed about our show and would make sure everything was on time. It was. All evening, the entire wait staff was efficient and courteous. The drinks, wine selection and the food for all four of us was great.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first time diningThis was my first time dining at Sullivan's. We came with a client got lunch. Everything was wonderful. Our waiter was fabulous! (sorry, I don't remember his name) I am looking forward to coming back again soon.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food but staff too "rehearsedFood was as good as I remembered--have always had the salmon (guest had a delicious petite filet mignon), which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Incredible coconut cream pie topped it off. Also enjoyed the seasonal asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. Would prefer the waitress had not keep telling us what's especially good...finally took the hint that we'd already decided what to order. Also, OK for the manager (assume that's who she was) to inquire how it's going but wasn't interested in her continued small talk, especially, as it seemed rehearsed.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMy second visit, my guest'sMy second visit, my guest's first. We were treated like royalty. We shared each item that we ordered. Not because of $, but because of the LARGE servings, ie THREE coops f sorbet. Make that yummy sorbet. From martini, to steak, to salad, to side, to desert everything was tasty and nicely presented.
As my friend said, "This wsn't dinner; it was and event!"
We'll be back.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebrated my birthday atCelebrated my birthday at Sullivan's and the staff and food were amazing. Felt so welcomed and well taken care of. Service, food choices, atmosphere and value in this upsacale restaurant are not duplicated elsewhere in Seattle.12/11/2012 12:00:00 AMbest in Seattle! How can I express our appreciation for one of our new favorite restaurants???? All 3 servers we have had: Chad, Tahir, Kevin remember our names and food preferences. The 3 managers greet us at the table each time and the selection of reasonably priced food in comparison to the Met Grill or Canlis is well worth eating there weekly!!!! Include free valet parking and proximity to all the theatres....why go anywhere else. All day HH on thursday has the adults at the bar buzzing of which you cannot hear in the dining room unlike McCormicks in Bellevue or Sazarec. You will not be disappointed except that they are so busy and so have dropped the Passport card....bummer.11/29/2012 12:00:00 AM
