We've spent our last few anniversaries at Sullivan's because of the outstanding food and service. We both had the rib-eyes...tender, juicy, delicious. The onion rings were phenomenal - whole sweet onions in a crispy batter. My mozzarella and tomato salad was one of the best I've ever had - generous portions of cheese and not heavy on the oil. We splurged on the hot fudge sundae for dessert...some tasty caramelized peanuts and thick whipped cream topping made it special. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Overall, our anniversary dinner was a memorable experience.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary DinnerIt was our 45th wedding anniversary so we decided on Sullivan's. A very wise choice. They sat us in a curved booth where we could sit together and talk quietly to one another. The food is always outstanding. Our waitress was most friendly and very helpful with a couple of excellent drink and wine selections, even though we only ordered by the glass. When the waitress learned it was our anniversary, she took our photo and returned with a photo anniversary card signed by the entire staff. In business I call this the Racer's Edge. Doing those little things that the competition either doesn't think of or is too lazy to follow through on. Sullivan's will see us often this year and on every anniversary from now on.

However, if you want a nice romantic experience don't go to Sullivans on a Saturday evening. The place was packed and the room noise was pretty loud at times. Also, I was a tad bit disappointed that our waiter suggested and served me a $13 beer and a $13 glass of wine without informing me of the cost up front. I have been to Eddie Merlot's, Gibson, Hugo, Catch 35, Maggiano's, Rosebud and Morton's. All of these restaurants should aspire to be as amazing as Sullivan's. Oysters Rockerfella, Calamari, Lamb Chops, Sea Bass and Coconut Cream Pie are a few of the best dishes on the menu. When it comes to service, you can't ask for a better restaurant. You never want for anything nor do you ever have to ask. The team at Sullivans - hostess, busser, server, chef's and managers work in sync like an orcherstra.

The double aged rib-eye steak was the best tasting steak I can remember. The horseradish mashed potatoes were very good. My wife had the 16 ounce house rib-eye and it was done to perfection. The Gorgonzola garlic butter was fantastic, as were the spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms. I would heartily recommend Sullivan's for the special occasion.
