Sullivan's Steakhouse - NapervilleService and Food good....but..As always, the steaks here are very good and the service - by Anna - was terrific. BUT - three issues kept me from giving Sullivans a hgher rating. (1) the paper/cardboard menus were ripped and dirty. This is NOT what you would expect from a place like Sullivans... we have eaten here before and we have always received hard "leather' like bound menus. In fact, the hostess said to us. 'here are the lunch menus'... but we were there for dinner. Hmmm.... (2) In the ladies room the towel dispenser was out of towels, but on the counter was dropped a bundle of paper towels - in the torn brown wrapper. I have been to Eddie Merlot's, Gibson, Hugo, Catch 35, Maggiano's, Rosebud and Morton's. All of these restaurants should aspire to be as amazing as Sullivan's. Oysters Rockerfella, Calamari, Lamb Chops, Sea Bass and Coconut Cream Pie are a few of the best dishes on the menu. When it comes to service, you can't ask for a better restaurant. You never want for anything nor do you ever have to ask. The team at Sullivans - hostess, busser, server, chef's and managers work in sync like an orcherstra.

The wedge salads are amazing with fresh delicious chunks blue cheese. The New York cut was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn bourbon sauce sealed the deal for an amazing dinner. The double aged rib-eye steak was the best tasting steak I can remember. The horseradish mashed potatoes were very good. My wife had the 16 ounce house rib-eye and it was done to perfection. The Gorgonzola garlic butter was fantastic, as were the spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms. I would heartily recommend Sullivan's for the special occasion. I had a strip steak over steamed spinach; at 6 oz. it was the perfect size. My husband had the 12-oz filet and said it was the best steak he had ever had. We shared a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. The service was impeccable. This is definitely a great restaurant for a special occassion and/or romantic dinner.
