  • "Had birthday party for mom there. Food was excellent. Family ordered prefix menu. We ordered wine duo. I Ordered the sea bass instead. Very good. Only suggestion I would make is to make prefix menu with a dessert instead of appetizer. That way I might have ordered it. Not really a place for kids. No kids menu. But they made kids meal to order which was nice. My son had chicken fingers and fries. Overall great place to meet for group dining."

  • "Four of us had dinner one person sent back his steak ordered it medium came out bright red so had to send it back to get cooked more. My wife ordered the salmon it came out raw yes raw not rare. They took it back still not cooked so the manager brought her out a fresh order of salmon and that came out raw also so she gave up and just finished the mushrooms on the table for dinner. When you go out with 4 people to a nice restaurant for dinner you like to all eat together. Needless to say we did not get to enjoy our food together. The other 2 meals were good the KC bone on strip and the ahi tuna."

  • "Had dinner with friends. We all ordered from the Prix Fixe menu as it was reasonable at $39 for 3 smaller courses. You were also able to make substitutions for a small additional price which is unusual for this type of menu. Excellent spinach salad and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The waitress was very patient as we hadn't seen our friends in awhile and we took a long time to select drinks and courses. She just kept coming back until we were ready. We never felt rushed. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would come back again. The Warm Cast Iron Apple Caramel Crumble with Butter Pecan Ice Cream was okay. The apples were not quite cooked through, I needed a knife to cut them, but the crumble was very tasty."

  • "finally tried Sullivans, only to be disappointed. We had a wait for our table even though we had reservations and dining room wasn't full. Hostesses were confused. Once directed to our table, hostess took us through an overly crowded bar area, people refused to move to let us easily nagivate through. Once in the dining room we sat through our dinner with a constant "boom boom boom" of bass from the bar music on the otherside of the dining room. We expected for the cost of this place, some soft music playing, we didn't expect to feel like we were in a night club. Portions were small. Filet was over-seasoned, but cooked perfectly. Waitresses wore short black skirts and black tights that we felt wasn't appropriate attire for the restaurant."

  • "Typical steak house with great prime beef, seafood and sides. Service was slow, and they ran out of stone crab by 6:30pm. Also made a mistake on the bill and charged me for the stone crab they ran out of. Otherwise the steaks were very good, as was the apple crumble dessert. I would eat there again, but not as good as Morton's for similar price."

  • "Arrived on-time with reservations, 45 minute wait in bar at uncleaned table no drink offers. Once seated server asked us if we had any "time limitations" we said no; bad move. Waited long long time for each step of meal. Never got any bread. Staff was over-worked and stressed serving a number of large groups, we were only a table of two. Later they ignored us spend all of their time setting up for next day. No manager visit to table, server ignored being flagged while racing by for other tables, other servers and staff also ignored. Appetizer and salads were good, steaks tasted like they had been soaked in salt water. After dinner scotch was tiny portion, (absolutely no excuse to that)."

  • "When my friend and I merely ordered a salad for our entree, our waiter, Terrence, was obviously upset with us. We had to ask for rolls, refills of our coffee and a dessert menu. When the salads arrived, one was significantly smaller than the other. When this was pointed out to Terrence, he grabbed BOTH salads and returned with 2 TINY salads. He continued to make us feel quite unwelcome. We both have frequented this restaurant many times in the past and the food and wait staff have both been excellent. Terrence's displeasure made us feel extremely uncomfortable. He is a dreadful representative of a very nice restaurant! Unfortunately, we will not return and will encourage our friends to frequent restaurants that welcome their guests."

  • "They had a great offer for V-day dinner, so I took my wife. We had a glass of wine at the bar; bartender was very friendly and great to talk to. At dinner, service was very good and the Manager came by to check on us. My wife ordered a second glass of wine (different wine) and it tasted slightly off. The Manager came by a second time to see how we were doing - we told him about the wine and he immediately replaced it without question. The meal was very good, steaks were great as was dessert. The waitress was good but could have been a little more attentive. However, she got pretty busy towards the end of our meal. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will come back."

We were disappointed to hear that they stopped serving it but were still very much pleased with our dining experience. Extra shout out to the newer manager, Dave Katz, who is especially responsive. Only recommendation is the place could use some better lighting as reading required some extra effort."

  • "Chicago has so many great steak houses, but for those of us who live in the suburbs, if you want to enjoy the steak house experience, and not drive for an hour, it is a bit trickier. Those of us who live in the northern suburbs do have an option with Sullivan's in Lincolnshire. Their steaks are excellent and everything from the appetizer to dessert is outstanding. We went there on a Friday evening just to enjoy the steakhouse experience and I have to compliment our server Terrence. He was friendly and efficient and we were not lacking for anything all evening. This has become our go to "special event" restaurant and we will be back soon."

  • "First time at Sullivan's. I knew the prices were high so I expected the food to be exceptional and for me it was okay. It wasnt that busy, we were seated at the first booth in the dining room so waiters and bus boys gathered around our area and we had to listen to young adult talk, not very professional. The food was good but not awesome and room temperature not hot. I ordered a peppercorn steak and it was more peppercorn than steak. I said something to the waitress and manager but they kinda just said oh, that's how it is. I was offered another meal but was already full but no discount or taking the dish off the bill. The french onion soup was good, just not hot like I would like it. So I guess it was okay but not for price."

  • "There was a handwritten note from the GM at our table, they took a staff-signed pic, and staff members stopped by to say congrats. We were feeling very welcomed and happy all before the first drink was served! The drinks were phenomenal! My wife had the salted caramel apple martini. I had the blueberry lemon drop, which is officially my favorite drink in the universe now. The apps were calamari and deviled eggs. We both had perfectly cooked filets with white cheddar au gratin potatoes, sweet potatoes, and asparagus. Everything they put in front of us was absolutely delish! We had the apple crumb and the bread pudding for dessert. I can't say enough how appreciative I am to Sullivan's for making my wife and I feel welcomed and valued."

  • "If I spend $50 for a steak it would be nice to get sides with it. Every side dish is like another $9. The steak was all fat and bone. It really left me unimpressed. The restaurant is nice but the price and offering are not good. I mean how hard is it to serve mashed potatoes and a veggie with your meal. I would choose somewhere else. We wanted something special and this was a a dud."
