Our server sensed we wanted to enjoy some conversation so he left us to our pre-dinner cocktails and did not hurry us to order so he could turn the table.   • "Frequent patron -- but not really on their game this time. Given their wine list, a waiter should know how to pour a $100+ bottle of wine. (i.e., lipping the bottle.) Also, glass should not be filled with more than 1" of wine so as to allow it to breathe. It's not beer to the brim. Not only is trying to pour the entire bottle into four glasses initially bad for the wine, but iot is insulting."

  • "Just a wonderful evening. Great food, great service and fun atmosphere. Our only complaint was the dessert, not that it was bad but the choices were kind of pedestrian. There did not seem to be a signature dessert in our taste range. Could be a taste thing but it was only good not great like everything we had."

  • "With expectations high, given the reputation of this restaurant, we visited Sullivan's for the first time . The food was excellent - esp. the calamari - prepared in a unique way w/ an Oriental flavor. The onion soup was very flavorful, loaded w/ cheese, but a little too salty. The filet mignon was grilled perfectly and very tender. The Key lime pie was a delightful end to the meal. The house coffee was rich & flavorful. Our waitress, Marissa, took care of us in a very professional manner & w/ a warm personality that added to our evening. Though minor points, we had to ask 3 times to get bread, water glasses and the Coke weren't refilled as timely as should have been. The noise level was the only serious negative of our dining experience."

They forgot the bread, went downhill after the main courses where served it took several minutes to refill my ice tea even after 3 or 4 drank waiters past me by including after my wife got her water refilled first. We even took a chance that the dessert will not show up late. The food was very good but it’s the service that makes the difference not sure I will visit again after our first impression"

Service was poor and the food was very very disappointing. I know the Valentines' Day weekend is a very busy time for the establishment, but the wait staff should check on their customers food deliveries and ensure everthing was satisificatory. The manager finally came over to ask which was too late to enjoy the dinner since my spouse had already finished. Waitress was also un-informed of wines. Thank goodness the manager was able to assist. Will not return for some time."

It appeared to us, extra tables were brought in and it made the noise level extremely loud. There was a large table of 12 (large tables should NOT be allowed on special occasion nites and if they are, put them in the back AWAY from the table for 2). Their loud cackling throughout dinner took away from my experience with my Valentine. Overall, there was not enough wait staff. I'm certain the place had to be exceeding maximum capacity. Proves it's a popular place but seemed there was a lack of planning for the large number of people."

  • "We have had good experiences at Sullivan's previously but Valentine's Day evening was an exception. The "prix fix" meal choices were the only thing available even though our server said that he could check the kitchen for options (the answer was always "no"). The service was extremely slow and the service staff seemed very rushed. It was very loud (we were seated close to the kitchen) and we had to wait a long time between courses. After we had finished our meal, it took the server at least 15 minutes to pick up our credit card to pay the check. The whole experience felt a bit "frantic" as the staff rushed around the restaurant... not the relaxed and enjoyable meal experience that we were hoping for. Disappointing at best."

  • "We arrived at 8:15 for a 8:30 reservation on Valentine's day. When we arrived they said there would be a delay in seating. What we found out was they were still seating 8:00 reservations so they had obviously overbooked. Another bone to pick was there was a group of two for 8:30 that when they went up to the reservation table to check on their reservation, were told there were 10 groups in front of them. Although they didn't ask for the Manager, she came over and talked to them and the next thing you knew they were seated within a couple of minutes. Due to the volume of diners, it appeared that all the workers were moving at a frenetic pace. Other than that, our meal itself was outstanding and we will go back again."

  • "Restaurant really loud, slow service, food was just okay (normally terrific), took forever for food to come out (30 min. just for salads), seated 50 min. after reservation time, server blamed bussers for us not getting bread, water refiils, etc. Great for lunch, but certainly not for busy nights like V-Day. They were in over their heads. Will fall back on our favorite, J. Gilbert's, for such occasions going forward."

  • "I expected Sullivan's to be busy for Valentine's Day. I did not expect to be seated at 11:05 for a 9:30 reservation. Sullivan's clearly over-booked themselves for the evening. The wait staff and probably kitchen staff were worn out by the time we ate, and it was reflected in their service and food quality. Our server seemed more concerned about her imminent birthday than with providing us with attentive service. I will not let this one experience change my overall positive opinion about Sullivan's, but I will definitely not go there again on an evening I expect to be as busy as Valentine's day."

  • "My wife and I went to Sullivan's Steakhouse for Valentines Day. The place seemed quite bustling yet they were still able to bring a romantic vibe to the evening. The Valentines Day menu was quite generous for the price compared to the normal menu but wish the normal menu had been available as well. The Bananas Foster bread pudding was AMAZING! Definitely will have to get that again."

  • "It's a shame to have such a great steak at Sullivan's and not a good bottle of wine to go with it. Kansas needs to change their liquor laws and let Sullivan's and places like it buy a bottle of wine at wholesale prices. We, the customer, suffers. It's hard for me to pay $45.00 for a bottle of wine that can be had at the Liquor store for $15.00."
