Our server was slow and not very attentive to our needs like some other servers seemed. It's unfortunate to go to a restaurant of this caliber and be underwhelmed especially with the cost of the meal. Needless to say, her tip could have been more. I find very few places make it to my satisfaction. Prices are on he steep side as consistent with other of the better steak restaurants such as Mortons or Ruth Chris; perhaps a bit less. Steaks are $40+ but they do include a nice salad as opposed to charging for every item. I usually am fine in sharing a baked potato because of the large size. The potato was nothing extraordinary and rather small. One surprising aspect of the evening, and it might have been because of the placement of our table at the back of the dining room, we notice cigar smoke in the dining area. I have always LOVED this cut here at Sullivan's and they cooked it perfectly.
I have tried their specials, which are touted as more flavor and higher quality such as dry aged bone in rib eye and bone in filet - but i have always regretted that decision, as this steak has a lower cost and I believe the flavor and quality are BETTER that any other at Sullivan's. Great dinner! 5 *****
The service was attentive and the horseradish mashed were excellent, as were the onion rings.
I do miss their old chocolate brownie dessert which was really amazing...the new version is a bit drier with out the liquid center...it is very good, but not amazing,

We were extra impressed when the manager came over to explain why our food was taking a little longer to come out - the sauce on my steak didn't turn out well - especially because we weren't even questioning where our food was.
Not only the manager, but the whole staff was so on top of things.
It was a great dining experience.
For everything that we ate, we were surprised at our bill.
We will most definitely be back!!!

It was a packed house and everyone was chatting, laughing and having a good time. My food was fantastic (filet duxelle) and my husband was pleased with his dry aged steak special as well. I would definitely go again, but I would go with a group rather than for a quiet date night (this is not a slam on the restuarant, we came at the peak time and I would much rather a fun atmosphere over a stuffy one). I ordered the filet trio. The price was $50 but I could have done much better just ordering the regular filet. One of the pieces was extremely tiny. I think it took 3 bites to finish. The French onion soup was not served in the traditional crock. The replacement didn't seem to have the depth of the typical crock.
