  • "A colleague was visiting from out of town and I wanted to take him to a nice place, with great food, and that wasn't too stuffy for casually dressed people. Sullivan's fit the bill perfectly. The food and drink were excellent, with nice portions and reasonable prices. We were not rushed and enjoyed a great business lunch. I would definitely recommend Sullivan's to others and will continue to go back."

  • "I was really looking forward to going to Sullivan's as my brother goes there frequently and really talks it up. The service was very good; however, when my steak arrived exactly how I requested NOT to have it cooked, I was crestfallen. Although the filet was tasty, in my opinion, it was overcooked and thus dry. They offered to replace it, but I was out for a night with my husband and wanted to eat with him, not watch him eat then vice versa. It really put a damper on the evening. "

  • "We were a party of ten celebrating my daughters 30th birthday and I had noted that when I made the reservation. All of the wait staff went out of their way to wish her a happy birthday, and when she declined the free dessert (we had cake waiting at home), they brought her a whipped cream smiley face with a candle on a plate so we could sing happy birthday! Food was out of this world and service was too notch!"

  • "Four of us dined at Sullivan's to celebrate my sister's birthday. Made the reservations requesting quiet table (one of our guests is hearing impaired) and stated we were celebrating a birthday. Were given a nice table in the corner and received service as though we were having a private party. Staff extremely attentive and pleasant. Made my sister feel special. But service was not outdone by the food. Steaks made exactly as ordered. Sides were delicious. Would return again without hesitation."

  • "Always enjoy the vibe. We were seated promptly ( vs. Mortons, KOP - good luck there!) and had pleasant competent service throughout. Started with the always excellent stone crabs and I enjoyed the "dry aged" sirloin. My wife ordered the "fresh" swordfish. Can not attest to its freshness but the cut was strange and the flavor/taste not at all to my wifes liking. (I always tell her "when in Rome"....ie- get steak in a steak place....). She took maybe 2 bites and left the rest. (To the restaurants credit, they deducted it frfom the bill (we did not ask them to do so). The onion rings and "dressed at table" baked potato were great sides. In sum, overall favorable. Next time - no fish for main course. In steak house- order steak!"

  • "I love the atmosphere of this place, very open and comfortable. I definitely would return with family or friends. The jumbo shrimp cocktail and French Onion soup was delicious. At our table we all order steaks, perfectly cooked to order. I would recommend the trio, each 4 oz filet topped off with a different sauce. Service was well-timed and friendly, the wine list was very extensive but somewhat pricy."

  • "This restaurant has really gone downhill in the last few years. Service is un-attentive even when very few diners are in the restaurant. Did not even get bread with our meal (waitress said she forgot). The last 3 times I have been here my meat was overcooked - this should be taboo in a "steakhouse". Many better places in the area now so I will be going elsewhere for business meals from now on."

  • "I entertained several foreign business associates with a dinner at Sulllivan's, since they preferred a good steak dinner. The filet mignon we all ordered was done to perfection, The only negative comments relate to the server, but only because my guests were from Europe and had a very difficult time understanding the server's conversation. The young server spoke too fast for them to comprehend, and even after mentioning the language barrier, he did not attempt to be more clear with and explain slowly what he was offering. But in the end, both of my guests were very impressed with the meal."

  • "Noise level was thru the roof and open table star rating system does not allow you to say that. Med rare steak was almost raw center. Stuffed shrimp was 2 medium size barely stuffed shrimp, that's it, with a 2 in sq of salmon. Totally inadequate and overpriced , and couldn' t hear to have a discussion over the noise level AND a DRUMMER in the bar. What kind of dining music is a full drum set up? Service was excellent and reservation on time. Not returning until I hear they return to giving you a modicum of value for your money. Prix fixe menu looked more worthy valuewise, but I didn,t like most of what was offered prix fixe. Free dessert for my b- day was nice touch. Disapointment overall."

  • "I'm unsure why this restaurant cannot execute on a error-free dining experience. - Hostess was annoyed becuase I didn't want to sit in the back room right next to a table of loud party of 16. - Ice cold hollandaise sauce for my NY strip "oscar" style. - Didn't receive our baked potato side dish until we were just about finished with our dinner - Dry-aged NY strip was dry & lacked any real flavor Too many other great choices in KOP and Philadelphia to constantly have to put up with these occurences."

  • "Apparently there was a party in a back room. Which is fine but it seemed to pre occupy our waiter Austin. We asked for bread for our table twice. He forgot our salads which in turn caused our steaks to not be cooked right. Timing is EVERYTHING and Sullivans missed the boat last sunday. Our side dishes were ice cold, three of us had to send back our steaks. One was sent back twice. We wouold have had better service at the Outback. Will be a long time if we ever go back there."

  • "We were sitting in the back dining room where it was a little more quiet than the main dining room. There were 8 people in our party and I liked that we were put at a round table. You could see and talk to everyone at the table with no problem. The waiter was very pleasant and polite. He acknowledged the birthday girl and made a nice little fuss over her to make her feel good. I also brought in a birthday cake from a bakery that the waiter was not bothered by. He brought the cake out with a candle and then took it to the kitchen and cut it. Everyone was very happy with their meals. I've never had a bad meal at Sullivans! The food and service has always lived up to my standards."

  • "The service was amazing, but the food was very unremarkable. The best thing about our meals was the appetizers. The Caesar salads, horseradish mashed potatoes, and steaks were very flavor-less and not at all what we would have expected from an expensive steakhouse. My steak came our very undercooked, but the server and manager were right on top of it to get it fixed. The dining room is very loud and has a frenetic pace to it. Not a quiet, romantic dinner spot at all. We likely won't return."

  • "I had the spinach salad, white cheddar au gratin potatoes, brussel sprouts and the filet with cabernet goat cheese butter. The filet and the butter were delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly (medium) and I was dreaming about the butter the next day. The only complaint I had was it took awhile to get us water and we never got bread. We didn't want any because you just fill up on it, but it was like the people bringing bread and water forgot we were there."

  • "My wife and I used to go to Sullivan's on a monthly basis, sometimes more around the holiday season, but we hadn't been there for about 5 months. We were pleasantly surprised that most things, including the staff, had not changed and we had a great steak dinner. What was especially nice was that the Manager stopped by to ask us about our meal and took a genuine interest in what we had to say. If not too busy I always suggest sitting in the Bar as the Wait staff is friendly, drinks come quick and they have the same menu as the restaurant. Thank you Sullivans for a great Dinner!"

The manager however came by and offered an appetizer and round of drink without asking. That was a shock frankly. The place was ok. It's not Morton's or Ruth's Chris for sure."

  • "My dad found a $200 gift card to this restaurant in his drawer so we went. For four people with only one glass of wine (I am the only one who drinks) it still cost $256 without tip. The food was delicious though. I would definitely go again, but it would be for a special occasion as I couldn't afford this type of fine dining regularly."

  • "We had a great time at Sullivans this past week (3/17). The food was as expected (very good) and the service was excellent. She had the Filet Mignon and it was moist and cooked to her liking.The Asparagus side dish was good as well. Not overcooked. I had the New York Strip. It had good flavor and was tender. We will be back again soon!"
