Sullivan's Steakhouse - DenverEarly DinnerHad recieved a gift card from a friend so decided to check it out. Went on a Sunday so plenty of parking available for an early dinner. We both tried the 3 course meal with ample choices for each. The apps were amazing (calamari & egg roll), the salad was fresh and the main course choices of Steak and Fish were outstanding. The wait staff was extremely friendly and had impecible timing. The wine list seemed decent, but settled on house cab which was very nice. The bar area and outdoor patio seemed comfortable, and even with a loud group in the bar, the noise didn't carry over into the dining room.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner at Sully'sExcellent food and service. I have driven by it from and to work many times and thought it would be a nice place to try. I am glad that I finally did. Your food was outstanding and the service was likewise. My only dissapointment was that I thought there was a piano playing in the dining room. The band in the bar was great but it would be great to listen to soft piano while dining. I do not know of any dining room that has that at this time so maybe you could be a 'first'. The wait staff has always been very accommodating and the atmosphere is city chic! While it does not have a kids menu, if you get there early and they like steak it's great. slightly darker note, the service was rehearsed, fussy and overbearing, albeit attentive and

She found a coupon somehow and we decided to try it out. We both tried their $39 per person appetizer, entree and salad. Calamari is one of our favorite appetizers and we were delighted with the slightly spicy and sweet flavor of the sauce and the presentation was very nice. The Ceasar salad is for lovers of a natural ceasar sauce - delicious. We had a glass of wine from the by-the-glass wine menu that sparkled nicely against the New York strip steaks tender and tasty, sliced and layed out on the plate beautifully. The wines by the bottle selection was plentiful but a little pricey for our budget. However, we did think the music was a little too loud. We were surprised to see a group come in dressed extremely casually (tee-shirts, ball caps which were not removed). I don't think we need the old-fashioned "jacket and tie" requirement, but I thought this was a little too casual for such a nice restaurant. However, I don't know how you get around this in today's culture. If I were to return I may request a booth next time because they seem to offer more comfort without bumping the next chair behind you. The lobster and shrimp bisque was excellent, I would also recommend the cheese-steak egg rolls. For the main course, I think both of the dishes ordered at our table were over seasoned/dressed. The featured item-Scallops Rockefeller was heavily dressed in a lemon butter cream sauce, while the Rib eye was over seasoned with the red pepper butter sauce.
